I bought this shoe as a gift for a man. The first pair arrived with small scuffs on the back top rim of one shoe. For the high price there should be no scuffs. Also, they arrived somewhat dusty but that is not a major problem as I could easily wipe them down. There was also a spot on the side of one of the shoes that was like when a price tag leaves sticky stuff behind on something. It could not be rubbed off without damaging the shoe. So I called customer service to order another pair and return this one. I asked the representative if she could make a note to ask the wherehkuse to inspect the next pair before shipping due to me needing the shoe to be perfect without scratches or dings and she said she couldn't and seemed annoyed even though I was being friendly about it. She mentioned adding more packing to the box at first but after I placed the order and I asked if she had requested not packing around the shoes, she said she couldn't really do that. Well why offer it then!! I could tell she was blas about needs for this shoe to look great as it is a gift. I received the next pair and this time one shoe had puckered leather while the other was perfectly smooth! The smoot one again had a couple of light scratches on the back top rim! Ugh. So frustrating. I am returning both and going out of my way to the Timberland store near me to try again. Very disappointed that the customer service rep was no help and the quality assurance dept is letting an expensive shoe be sent out with scratches and such. If it was perfect it would get 5 stars. I give 2 stars for the customer service rep on the phone.

It is first time when I got shoes from Timberland with bad quality. The insole is glued only partially. Also glue is visible inside of shoe.
Medium width is feeling as narrow for my leg, but I have a standard with for rest shoes from another brands.
Bought not for the first time, but this time the mood was spoiled.

I recently ordered my husband this wonderfully made classic shoe, which is one of his favorite style of shoe's from one of only two brands of shoe's that he will wear. It arrived at the expected time, but had a few scrapes and scratches on both left and right shoe's! So I have a suggestion for the Timberland company. @Timberland: please try the dust bags for your beautifully crafted leather goods. Thanks!! Ps. Love you guys

I use as everyday shoes. They are comfortable but the build quality of the local argentine manufacturer is poor. Had to return after 3 weeks of use as stitching was coming apart. Pair were replaced and one month later laces broke, inner sole pads unstuck and outer soles at arch also ungluing. Definitely not a rugged shoe!

Actually I'm not all that keen on them. My mother got them for me and, certainly, they are comfortable, functional, practical, very strong and made to a very high standard but I basically don't like the appearance all that much. The stitchwork and upper-part design are quite fussy and I think the bright yellow sole clashes in colour with the darker upper. I agree with an earlier reviewer who described it as 'aggressive'--it is, and is rather like the sole of a wellington rather than a conventional shoe (although this does contribute to its tight grip and, as earlier stated, insulation) but, like a ‘Welly’, it leaves a very heavy, ugly print, particularly when coming in from rain, and it does drag mud with it. Oh, and the sole squeaks! All of these combine to create an overall unsightliness which I personally don't like. Not my idea of a stylish shoe. However, I understand why it has such a very loyal following because, notwithstanding personal taste, it is a very good product and very reasonable value. I think it particularly suits young men, many of whom have contributed to this interesting and diverse review section. Good for driving, very comfortable, stays clean.

Insoles are not glued down properly. They make a terrible "puffing" noise when walking in them. A great shoe ruined by cheap insoles with foam that is about as durable as toilet tissue!

This shoe runs big, would recommend going a size down. If you have a narrow foot this shoe is not for you. I wear a size 14 and ordered a 14 and my foot was sliding around everywhere in this shoe. When I first saw the shoe I thought someone with a fat foot had been wearing it cause it was so wide and stretched out.

Purchased one pair and had to return due to scratches all over the top of shoe. Got my exchange pair and the bottom of one of the lugs is completely unevenly cut and makes walking horrible.

I've always had a pair of these and they were wonderful. I bought a brown pair and a dark gray pair recently. They are both so hard on the bottom that the bottom of my feet hurt. I walk too far but it's bad because there is absolutely no cushion. Can't recommend.

Most of my shoes are Timberland, but on this occasion I was very disappointed. They turned out to be too narrow and the worst of all is the quality of the gluing of the sole, in several places it comes off (without having been used).

My wife is a designer and I bought these before letting her know. She said they are very grandpa looking and heel for a guy very unattractive . Comfort on the sole was good but overall not great.

I recently bought these shoes, but I am disappointed with the size. All my 2 eye boat shoes are 10US and fit perfectly, but these 3 eye boat shoes run large even though I bought the same 10US size.

... They stopped making them with Black as a color option for the sole and heel. Much disappointed as the 'Blonde color (only available) is just too light and not in 'pallet sync' with the Uppers and the cloths typically worn when wanting to wear this shoe. I bought these for years - and have been forced to utilize 'that other' source of similar footwear...

The leather is cheap and the color fake. Tag says made in the Dominican Republic. Not the Timberland quality I grew up with. Shame.

What has happened to this shoe? More specifically, what has happened to the outer sole? I have been buying this shoe for decades and like TP, once you find something you like, you don't change....until you have to. First, what happened to the black color sole? They looked great against the brown leather and hid dirt nicely. Please bring back black soles!! Secondly, I don't know if the sole itself has changed but it seems to lack the durability of yesteryear. With this being the more expensive of the boat shoes, I would expect more. Please bring back black, please bring back the old soles.

One she had a deep scratch and a dent in the top, and the other shoe had a dent. Inside the shoe is a label that is very rough, so will always need a thick pair of socks.

I'm a natural 12 since my 20's But I know tim's Run small leaving me no choice but to spin the dice with a thirteen. Again great looking durable shoe but try getting a
WIDE Width almost always out of stock. Tells me Company buyer is not really on his/her game.

Shoes are to narrow, I wear a "Medium" width in every shoe I have purchase, to include my old worn out Timberland two eyelet mom. But with these, I guess I need a "Wide". Perhaps it was just this pair of mediums, but I cannot return them.

This shoe didn't have the support I was use to from the previous Timberland shoes. I need good support from my shoes, trying these shoes makes me wonder if Timberland is making shoes that don't have good support. I will pay good money for good shoes, but these were lacking.
