Classics that are always fashionable -
I never knew these came in wide sizes, this site is a blessing for men, 10 years ago I had a pair of these in a medium width. My pinky toe looked like it was gonna bust through, and I loved the shoe but this wide shoes is perfect, a real gem!! I wished they'd bring back the caramel brown and black, but I coming back for another 13wide!!!

I love my Timberlands!
These are a really good indoor shoe version of the Timberland Roll Top leather boot, which I also have and I prefer to use outdoors. Same sole.
Wicked!

Great all around.
I am a 29 year old taxi driver and part-time musician and I totally love these shoes. TERRIFIC look, don't see anything ugly about them at all.

Perfect shoes.
I'm a 25 yr old postgrad, working part-time in a bookshop, on my feet nearly all day. Great for work, walking and college. Fully disagree with the other reviewer, not ugly--really good look, can wear them with anything. You actually get praise remarks from people.

Minted mocs!
Cool shoe. feel abolutely great and look smart.
Great one for doing anything--I wear mine to go clubbing and down the pub with the lads.
Don't agree with the reviewer that said they are ugly, where has he been for the past few yeras while the kickers moccasins were around?

Conor -
Im a 24yr old electrician and wear these all times, for a very clear reason. The rubber soles are a total insulator from electric shock-but these are easier to put on and wear than heavy boots. Very good shoes, practical, tough, v. comfortable.Cool look as well.

While I'm satisfied with the product, the heel cushion seems hard on my foot. The Rockport shoes I own are still the most comfortable.

The shoes I’ve known and worn for years living in 7 countries. The greatest all-around shoes I’ve ever owned. Hard to wear out no matter how bad you treat them. Mine have survived desert heat/sand in Kuwait and freezing snows 4200 meters up on the side of a glacier in Kyrgyzstan and everything in between. But what is also great is the service I have had from Zappos. Living overseas and finding medium width shoes is always a problem. This is the second time that Zappos has made things happen for me. The shoes are great and the Zappos.com customer services is fantastic! Thanks Zappos!

Bought my first pair out of college and stopped wearing them for the past few years but I really love them so I thought I'd buy again and am really glad I did so. Very comfortable.

I've worn nothing but for 20+ years...
I've worn nothing but this shoe, everywhere from White House dinners to arguing appeals in Federal Court. It simplifies my life tremendously, there's never any question about what shoe to pack. I always keep at least one new pair on-hand at all times, just in case I have trouble finding it when I decide it's time to break in a new set. With daily use, each set lasts 9 months to a year! I just hope there are enough of us who 'stand by' this shoe to keep it in production.

I am a 20 year old student of physics who comes home at holidays to work on my family's farm. Money is fairly tight at the moment, my family are poor and I also have my three year old daughter to support, alongisde collge expenses, so Im looking for a shoe to last, for college, and for the farm. I agree: men's shoes, not a pretty sight, fairly ugly, but tough as steel, can withstand oil, water, animal messes and, especially, designed to LAST. Easy to clean. Had my pair for 2 yrs now, still going strong. Total comfort. Very good value for money. As well, they have more reviews than any other, and the supporters seem to be very loyal. ON a balance, well recommended.

"The shoe made of iron".
Absolutely the best pair of shoes I have ever bought, comfortable as slippers, tough as nails, with a grip of iron. Even though, at first, I thought they were expensive, I got what I paid for. Further to my last review, I am also a teacher and I disagree with the reviewer who criticises the 'aggressive' sole. This is part of the quality, the shape of the tread creates the strong grip, being moulded from pure, top-quality, high-density rubber. Any dirt or stones picked up in the grooves soon fall off, elsewhere, not for me to worry about, anyway. Being rubber prevents the soles from causing damage to sensitive floors, which allow me to work in the school gym without wearing trainers. Perfect shoes for any teacher, and I agree with Justin fully, go nicely, also, with a formal, grey suit (but not black).

Great Investment -
These weren't my "first" shoes, but like the other gentleman I purchased a pair in the late 1980's (1987, to be exact). I still was wearing them (albeit off and on) until last year and just recently ordered another pair. These are high quality and durable shoes with classic good looks, the original Timberlands, in my view. For the most part, they just don't make shoes like these anymore, and I highly recommend them.

This is the best there is in this shoe bar none. I adore them. I bought 3 pair so I have backup. I wear it so much I rotate it among the 3 pair so they get rested. They are robust, there is little chance of wearing these beauties out. This is a shoe an owner can truly be proud of. Do yourselves a favor, buy it. Zappos is like this shoe, the best, the most reliable, the easiest to use and a truly great service.

I have worn them for 22+ years and they are the best shoes I own. Also wear Alden, Johnson and Murphy and other great dress shoes, yet, I love my Timberland Classic's. As a founding stockholder after purchasing my eight pair!

Simply put, best shoes you can buy. I must have owned my pair for about 23 or so years. They are older than my third year college son and he took them with him last time he was home. Sooo soft and the sole is getting slick now. I have bought others brands to replace them but I just end up putting those in a yard sale. I have worn them to work, mowed the grass in them, forded streams in the, fished, camped, you name it; they have been there. There is nothing like them!!

The Shoes I've Never Taken Off.
Timberland has made this shoe for many years -and I've worn it for the past 16 years myself. Yes, I've bought new pairs in that time, about every 3 years or so, but only when the soles need replacing. (I wear the heel very, very heavily on any shoe.) The Vibram soles are replaceable, but very expensive ($60 in Manhattan), so I usually replace them once and then buy a new pair when they're worn down again. BUT, what makes these shoes so special is that, in addition to being comfortable and reasonably good looking, they can be worn under most circumstances; dress down (now full time) at the office, to the beach (without socks,) walking the dog (without socks in summer), out to the movies, playing Frisbee, etc. They're very durable, and water resistant (in a solid downpour, though, they will leak through the top seams), but have a thick enough sole and heel to take you through your average puddle and are good in snow up to about 3 inches or so. When I do the math of it, I've worn these shoes almost daily for 40% of my life on this planet. If that isn't an endorsement, I don't know what is.

Where can I get replacement innersoles? The pair I have came from Hampton, NH quite a few years ago. Lug soles, Gortex sides, and changeable innersoles. By the way, the shoes are great!

Best @#$%&^ pair of shoes I've ever owned.
I have a pair of these that are 10 years old. I probably wore them daily for about 5 of those years. I never treated them especially good and they still look DAMN fine; the sole still has about 1/3 of it's original tread. The style is timeless. I suppose that I'll order another pair just because.

Poor SupportGreat Support
This is my second pair of these shoes. The first pair lasted over 3 years of almost constant wear through the fall and spring weather, and even some lighter/milder winter days. I ordered another pair when I couldn't use the ties any longer (they do break, and it is impossible to re thread the ties through the eyelets as they go all the way around the heel). I am looking forward to another few years of use from these.
