Like everyone I was Amazed - This is one great shoe but do yourself a favor break them in before wearing without socks, unlike the other Timberland boat shoes these pups needs a bit more break in time. My lesson was learned the hard way with several nice sized blisters and hot spots miles from moleskin. My own fault but it should be noted. Leather seems to be quite a bit more industrial duty than the boat shoes once broken they however can be an everyday shoe.

Smashing - Fantastic. I usually wear kickers in this style but they discontinued this style. Now, I moved on to these. They're really comfortable. Cool for clubbing. They feel great all the time, especially when I slip them on after a hard days work to chill out in. My pair are nealy a year old and still have an amazing shine. 'Look great with jeans and trousers. I hope they're never discontinued. Totally agree with Jason Lynch. -LOL

Justin Lynch, Dublin, Ireland. I gave these shoes 5 stars because there weren't 10!! These f.....s are the best shoes I've ever worn, a present from my girlfriend (who gave birth to our son Jordan 3 nights ago, by the way! :) My way of thanking her for the shoes, I guess.) Great shoes for teaching (I'm a high school teacher) and cool enough for casual wear, while also being very, very tough, and good value (money is tight, so this does matter). I haven't worn ANY other shoe since she got them for me.

Timeless and rugged I have been looking for this shoe in a 15 for a long time and they were worth the wait. After a one week break in period, they feel as though I have worn them for years. They look good too. The soles seem to repel dirt and they don't leak.

4 years I have had a pair of these for about 4 years. I wear them at least 4 days a week and still have not worn them out. They are by far the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. They are starting to show some wear on the threads at the toe area, but other than that, they are great. I have used the green can of protectant from Timberland but have only used it twice and I did replace the laces once.

Justin Lynch, from Dublin, Ireland. Further to my last review, some tips:- (1) avoid hot surfaces - I caused a slight melt on my sole when I stubbed out a cigarette; (2) you can really polish these dudes with olive oil, for a great shine and finish; (3) the soles have awesome tread but be careful to wipe when you go indoors, cos you can drag in muck with 'em. Peace, J.

Great, great shoes! I'm a 23 yr old student teacher of high school English and my girlfriend got me a pair last year, for my birthday. Really cool looking, and comfortable for the classroom, but also hard-wearing enough for the countryside, or the street or the nightclub. These shoes are so tough I know I'll have a friend for life. Keep up the good work!

WOW. Now on to my fifth pair in 10 years and have never had a single problem with them. Please Timberland do not decide to phase these out as i would be gutted. If you are only going to buy one pair of shoes this year make sure it is these. BRILLIANT

You forget you're wearing them. At long last, after 20 years of thinking they're too expensive, I got a pair. Beyond comfortable. I wear them if I'm going to walk all day. I hate to scuff them because I love the look. Nothing fits like 'em.

18 Years says it all! Bought my first pair of these shoes in 1984 just out of college. Have worn them through business school, marriage, two kids, three homes and half a career. Still wearing that same pair and they look great (only wear them in the winter, but I live in the NE). I hope Timberline never cancels this product...when mine wear out, I'll buy another and I don't care what they cost; $200 or $2,000.

Ten years worth. I've worn these since 1991 both summer and winter and am amazed at the quality of this particular shoe. By far, the highest quality footware I've owned to date.

Damn fine pair of shoes! These are possibly the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. I wore them every day for the last 4 years before they finally wore out! They're really comfortable and waterproof (provided you don't go swimming in them!). Although, they are quite expensive this original outlay is definitely worth it. The only problems that may occur are the sole may split at the front (this may occur after 2 years of constant wear) and the lining begins to disintegrate after about 3 years. I would recommend these shoes to anyone!!

Great sturdy shoe - This is a great, sturdy shoe with solid leather construction and heavy duty lug sole. Does bring back little rocks, but that's not a big deal. For me, needs a little more cushioning, but a thin extra insole helps that. Roomy, comfy and good traditional looks. This is my go to shoe for almost anything.

O.D. Don't like them. Yeah, they fit well and are hard-wearing but I don't agree with Justin, who thinks they're cool looking - I think they're ugly and I wouldn't think them fashionable. Probably good for the classroom but not my favourites at all - my mom got them for me.

Best Classic Timberland Ever! On my 5th pair since 1986. I have been buying these since I was in High School (1986). I am 40 years old now. Great shoes and Zappos got them to me quick and at an OK price.

Best shoe I have ever owned!! I just re-ordered another pair. I bought the ones on my feet at this moment the day Regan was shot back in the early 1980's and they finally developed a small tear on the top, the sole and inside are still fine. I have used them for dressy occasions, working around the house, and taken everywhere. By far the best shoe I have ever owned, still comfortable just starting to show 26 years of wear and tear. Guess I got my moneys worth, but like that old pair of Levis will be hard to get rid of, maybe just delegate the old pair to the garage and yard work until the tear increases too much.

Great Shoe - Great Shoe "Store" My husband will only wear these specific shoes due to the comfort & durability. Zappos had the lowest base price PLUS no tax or shipping charges. I ordered the shoes and had them in 2 days. Timberland and Zappos make a very good combination!

Best deck shoes. I'm a keen sailor (and rugby man, bodybuilder and wrestler) and these are the best deck shoes of all 'cause they have the good grip in the soles, unlike the deck shoes with flat soles which can get slippery. These are my 3rd pair: first pair was in school at 15, second pair when I started college and now I've graduated and am working as professional school rugby coach and junior dean, these are ideal again. Great shoes (they look TERRIFIC but this need hardly be said - really snappy, not ugly) but also well suitable for ANY guy, not just jocks or sailors or rugby heads. Very practical also.

A pure pleasure to own. My 3 eyelet lugs are a delight to wear. They're classic outdoor look never fades. They're really comfortable on my feet, and give me somewhat of a bouncy feel with each step. They're also hardy and well crafted so I never have to worry where I dip them. All I ever have to do is wipe the mud and gravel off them then they're fine. I've had the same pair for four years and they still look and feel great!

The Ones - Hi, just thought I would write a review on my all time favourite shoes. They look and feel great and are certainly cool enough for a 25 year old. One thing I have found is that in the UK it is quite hard to replace the laces and they usually need replacing when the shoe is worn in (and looking their best)after about 3 months wear. For this reason I reccommend that if you buy new ones then simply lace them up with the lace ends inside the shoe and knot them so you dont have to keep untieing them every time you wear them or the laces flapping about when you walk. The backs don't seem to break down but then I left the laces quite wide accross the front of the shoes and my foot slips in very loosely (the way all us young guys wear shoes anyway). Also the insole tends to disintegrate quickly so when you polish them polish your insole too to a high shine. This makes them waterproof from sweat and your feet will love the feel of the silky leather against them! I Wear them with jeans and what ever so they are not suitable for the Chav or Scally people sorry. Wear the Timberland Boots!

A GREAT shoe - I can't say enough about these shoes...they go with everything and are amazingly comfortable. The shipping was outstanding too...in 2 days they arrived...I'll definately buy from Zappos.com again.
