Black Leather Chucks for the Good Old Days- I bought these Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars sneakers because I needed something comfortable and stylish. In high school, I think I wore Chucks 90% of the time. Of course, those were the good ole days. Yet, today they seem to be just fine for business casual occasions. So far, I've received several compliments on them.

Upgraded footbeds and they're now my new favorite shoe! So rock and roll! I went down a half size, but could've gone a full size. On my next pair I will. They seem tough with all the leather, and they look even tougher. I'm in a rock band, The Crook's Coat, so you'll definitely see them on stage for years to come. Thanks to Converse and Zappos!

The shoes look great. I usually wear a 9 but I remember these running a little large so I ordered an 8 1/2. They fit perfect. However, if you are going to be doing a lot of walking in them I suggest going with the size you normally wear and adding an insole to them because there is not much cushion or arch support.

Never thought I'd be into leather. I've been wearing canvas Chucks for about 15 years and have worn every pair 'til they've practically fallen off my feet. Back when they were less it didn't matter if they didn't have arch support and fell apart after two months. Now though, the pricing has become outrageous and the quality hasn't improved a bit. These leather Chucks are a godsend though. I just purchased my second pair. I'm still wearing my last pair which I purchased two years ago! I will never buy another canvas pair again. The leather may be more expensive, but like I said; Canvas = 2 months and Leather = 2 years. You do the math. Do yourself a favor though and buy some insoles.

2nd review. Have worn them for everyday use for nearly a year. Lot's of standing and walking at work. My feet often hurt, and after adding some gel inserts, they alleviated a lot of that problem. Use them fairly consistently for light hikes, and mt. biking. Again the GORE TEX, though not considered important when I bought them has come in handy often. I love the lacing system. Construction is great, wore out the soles while the upper is still solid. A good looking shoe in black. Although I never spend this much $$$ on shoes, I'm buying a 2nd pair, this time in green.

A real "All Star" patch! Not printed like the canvas Chuck. Feels true to size - 10.5 regular chucks are slightly small on me, so an 11 in these is fine. The toe cap is smaller on the leather than on my canvas chucks, so the net effect is the leather chucks look bigger than they are. The greatest part is that the "All Star" circular logo is actually a patch, not the printed logo like it is on the Canvas chucks. That is worth the extra cost right there (I'd love to get the patch on a pair of canvas Chucks). Always happy to order from Zappos, and love Chucks! Only thing – this much for canvas Chucks - or this much for these, is a slight rip-off, but that is the price everywhere. Price you pay for a classic.

Black Leather Hi - Liked the way they looked almost like my canvas shoes, but they are made out of leather.

Converse leather high top - This shoe looks great and fits well. The leather makes for a different fit than the canvas, of course but with time breaks in nicely.

Different for big feet - I got a size 13, it shows most of the tongue under laces, wide opening, and the high top barley reaches ankle. It doesn't look like picture but fits comfortably.

Simple comfort - These shoes are actually more comfortable than I expected them to be. And they look good with a pair of jeans.

These were more narrow than I expected. I wear a women’s size 7.5 and have slightly wide feet (sometimes wear wide width, sometimes regular width). Since this is a unisex style, I figured they would be wide enough, but they pinched my pinky toes. I had to return these.

Leather Chuck's are just alright - I purchased these for my teen son. He really likes them overall, and says they are comfortable for short periods of time. The tongue, especially on one shoe, slides to the side a lot. For the price, was hoping for better craftsmanship.

They switched the leather to a cheaper version that is way more stiff. Congrats converse you ruined my favorite sneaker of all time.

I purchased real leather converse In the past And was bamboozled by the fake pictures in your add. The low quality shoes I received are not even close to the quality of shoes I’ve had for several years. Never ever again will I purchase shoes from you

I bought these for my son last Christmas. Within a well, the adhesive along the sides came unglued, leaving a gap between the leather and the rubber sole. Zappos generously sent out another pair, which did the same thing. Very disappointing. Never had this problem with the canvas version of the same shoe.

Not your Father's Chuck Taylor's - I bought the white leather version for my 15 year old son. He has treated them like a trophy and has only wore them when he was going to class or hanging out at home. Only two weeks of having them and they have a split on the inner foot right next to the rubber sole on the leather. To me,, this is unsat and I would like a refund or replacement. I could see this if he was riding a skate board in them or palying full court but "hust walking" in them is ridiculous!

In the Bible God promised the faithful Israelites their shoes would not wear out. Here these shoes are 6.5 years in, and they still go! Stick with the leather ones, they last longer than canvas. My canvas broke down after 6 months.

I bought those for my daughter, and she was filthy happy ? now I want to get the same for me, size 8.5 but every time I try to search, take me to a different models, wich I'm not interested, can you please contact me about it ? thankfully ?

Converse never disappoints. Stylish shoes to wear with a skirt, jeans or a pair of shorts.

They fit perfectly. My only issue is the lack of arch support, but nothing an insert cant fix!

You can’t beat the Chuck Taylor timeless style. The leather makes these so durable. Chucks are pretty comfortable given the small padding on the insoles. They could come with better and longer shoelaces in my opinion.

These shoes fit PERFECTLY! They are super comfortable and they make you feel amazing. They are nice to wear out places but also are good for hikes. Overall they are the BEST pair of shoes I have ever owned. 10/10 Would Recommend.
