My son's shoe size is about 1.5 almost 2 so we always buy size up to allow room to grow. Ordered 2. Foot would not even go in. Returned and ordered 2.5 Foot still won't go in! Never had issues with classic Van slip ons for kids before this. The new runs (wherever they are made now) are being made way too narrow or the tongue of the shoe is higher than usual. In either case this shoe won't even go on his foot. Very bizarre and frustrating.

Very difficult to get the shoes on, but once you get that part accomplished, comfort is good. BUT, not worth the difficulty of getting them on. I think I'm going to get a shoehorn for my six-year-old LOL!!

The shoes fits too small.

Really narrow shoes, my son has a wide foot and couldn't get his foot in at all! I tried a size up and still no luck. I am returning them to get a different style/brand.

These are nearly impossible to get on my son’s foot. If he’s wearing socks, forget it. I don’t understand why but there is no give you these at all and it’s a full cardio workout just to get them on his feet. They definitely run a full size small as well.

Christmas gift fail as the size is off at least 2 to 3 sizes. Daughter (11 y/o) wears size 4 youth, ordered and they was so small that she couldn't even get half of her foot in. Major bummer. They dont have anything bigger in stock. Order 2 sizes bigger minimum!!!

My son usually wears a size 2.5 in Big Kids, borderline a 3. He has worn other pairs of Vans slip ons that he's loved and worn out. I purchased this pair in a size 2.5 and he couldn't get his feet in. I returned them and ordered a size 3. All other shoes he currently wears are size 2.5. The size 3 of these Vans that came in were also very difficult for his feet to go in! He was so frustrated and it took too much effort on my part to squeeze his feet into them, with AND without socks. Forget it. Horrible fit.

Unfortunately my daughter could not get her foot into this shoe even though by all accounts she has normal sized feet and this is her size. Very upsetting for her. Returning and not going to size up and have shoes that are too big.

I ordered these for my 5-year-old son. I agree with the rest of the reviewers, it is extremely difficult to slide your child's foot into the shoe. It appears that Vans has changed the elastic on the top/side of the shoe. The shoes are simply too tight, such a shame, these slip-ons are a classic.

Like other reviewers have said, these shoes are so narrow that my daughter could not get them on her feet. Length-wise, they would have fit her. We loved the style, but have to send these back.

loved these slip ons and had several pairs in toddler sizes for my son in the past... bought an 11 in the "little kid" version, and like others, he could not fit his foot in. the elastic barely had any give or room. very disappointing bc these shoes are otherwise great. we would have bought many more over the next few years

Although they appeared long enough, my daughter could not get her foot in the shoe. The ankle is too narrow and does not have any give.

Well like other reviews said, it was impossible to get my sons foot in the shoe. Terrible design for kids. He just liked the print so we thought we’d try anyway. Bummer!

These shoes fit ok, but my daughter complained that they felt "floppy" and there's no real arch support, so unfortunately these have to be returned. Still on the hunt for a cute, slip-on sneaker.

Nice looking and quality shoe I'd say and they felt true to my son's size but the width is extremely narrow. My son could barely get his feet in them and he doesn't have wide feet which tells you how narrow these shoes are. They don't offer a wide size for me to try either. :(

The shoes were too hard to get on. My boys had to smush the back to shove their foot inside.

Don't bother. These shoes are SUPER narrow and very hard to get on. I even returned and got a bigger size to see if that would help and it didn't. :-( No kids could get this shoe on by themselves.

I ordered a half-size up — and still couldn't get my son's foot into this shoe. The gusset at the top was super tight, and we couldn't get his foot in far enough to even try it on.

My son wears a little kid 11 and I bought a size 12. He was in tears trying to shove his foot into the shoe. We have to return. Excellent service from Zappos, but I’ll fitting shoe.

My son found this shoe to be extremely heavy on this feet.

My son was not able to put his feet through the opening; it is very narrow. We started with a size 2 that he couldn't get on. We bought 3.5 and I just knew that would work, still couldn't get his foot through. My son is 6, I was hopening to find some slip on shoes for him. His foot may be a tad bit wider than the shoes can accommodate for. I still love the other vans we boogeyman for our family

Shoot. I wish I had read reviews. I ordered a boys size 4 and they’re smaller than the size 3 shoes I’m replacing. My son doesn’t even have to try them on, they’re way too small. Have to return. :(

My kid couldn't get them on- the opening is very tight!

Size 3, then 3.5 then 4... all too small... This is the third pair i'm having to send back due to being too tight for my skinny 10 year old's feet!
