My Opinion - They look great, however they hurt my feet. By the looks of them in the picture I thought they would be as comfortable as my Rockports, but they are a lot stiffer and maybe it takes awhile to break them in.

I am pretty disappointed with the quality given the price. I needed a pair of dress shoes rather last minute to wear to an awards ceremony. I had already tried another pair of Bostonians (which looked great, but did not fit), so by the time these shoes arrived, I was really down to the wire (I sadly cannot just pop over to the nearest brick and mortar store, as I am a small guy and have smaller feet than what most stores will carry for). These shoes fit much better than the previous Bostonians that I tried, but I noticed, much to my dismay, that the caps on the toes were in two different places! Even though the shoes were in fact the same length, with the caps not matching, one shoe looked longer than the other. I was really stuck by that point, so I brought them in a bag and wore them as carefully as I could around a carpeted room for the few hours of the awards ceremony, and then called Zappos in a panic, hoping I could still send them back. Zappos was extremely wonderful about this, and accepted the return and credited me. So that was great! But the shoes were not. Once seen, I could not unsee the cap toe issue; in addition, the heels felt pretty clunky and I did not feel a great deal of confidence in the quality of the upper. The soles seemed decent. I guess I will have to keep looking.

Not as good as they used to be. I bought a pair of Bostonians before that took longer to break in initially, but lasted for an extremely long time. Approximately a year and a half (heavy use). This pair didn't last thru 4 months of heavy use.

Seems Plastic - The shoe squeaks, fits tight and seems more like plastic than leather. Has a strange plastic like odor to it and really isn't all that comfortable.

These shoes are very comfortable and comes in wide widths. A little too shinny if I have to find a fault.

These shoes felt great right from the start. They were pretty much broke in after one day. Also, this is a great looking shoe.

This is a great true fit shoe. Hard to find that in today's shoe industry unless you are paying upwards. The construction is excellent, nice leathers, and the sole is re-soleable. For the price, this is a great buy.

These shoes look great, classic design, even smell good. Fit just as I expected. They are lightweight yet sturdy.

Overall great shoe. I ordered these in a double wide and they had plenty of room for my toes. They broke-in quickly, and seem to be made of quality materials. Held up well for the wedding I wore them to. The color was a little brighter in person than the picture portrayed, which was pleasantly surprising. It is an actual burgundy like the description says. :)

A classic businessman's shoe with a classic fit. Standard for the financial district - not technoventureland.

I have been wearing Bostonian Oxfords like these for years. They go well with jeans or a suit; Appropriate for a wedding, funeral or just handing out with sweetie. The cost is a very good price for these. You would be hard pressed to find a better pair of 100% leather oxfords like these!

I purchased these shoes for my son. The shoes are beautifully made and very classy; however, we will be sending them back because of sizing. (My son wears a size 15 football cleat, but I ordered these in size 14. They were quite large. I haven't previously ordered men's dress shoes so they must run quite differently than athletic shoes. (I marked sizing as large for size.)

I purchased this black pair for a wedding and an identical burgundy pair. They fit perfectly! Good thing as there was much walking. The shoes arrived a day after ordering just as my first Zappos order did which was sent to a hotel where I was staying. I wear a 4E and not only appreciate the proper fit, but the exemplary service. Zappos is great in my book!

The shine on this shoe is long lasting and much more pronounced than other Bostonian shoes I've owned. That's why I chose the Andover. It approaches the shine of patent leather but still retains a natural look. It is also very comfortable. I'm very happy with it.

This is my third pair of Bostonians through Zappos and second identical purchase of this shoe. Shoes hold up great, are true to fit, look beautiful out of the box, and feel good on my feet.

Overall, this is a really nice shoe. The shoes are very comfortable and the wear in period was pretty short (for me, it took about 3 days of wearing them). The shoe material is durable, high quality and looks great. It is a classic, versatile shoe that can be either dressed up for business professionals or dressed down for a night on the town. I am very pleased with this shoe and I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a basic reliable dress shoe that will never do out of style.

I bought these shoes for my husband and he loved them! Great fit, great comfort, great support. Great shoe! This was my first real dress shoe, and I love it. I'll probably get a second pair in black. Note: make sure to go a half size down! Only complaint: The side rubs slightly against my ankle bone. Not a huge issue, but it made for an uncomfortable first few days

Good looking shoe. Make sure you are comfortable with leather soles. Maybe 1/2 size too small because the width was a little tight.

Ordered these for my teenage son since they were available in narrow. They are nice shoes, but the top of the leather lining rubbed against his foot in back. Also I think the shoes came up higher against his ankle bone than others we tried. Due to the lining's rough edge he said they were not comfortable, and they went back. He ended up with the pair he has had before, in a half size larger (in medium width). Hard to find narrow shoes!

This is a great shoe for the price. It has a short break in time and the fact that it comes in many widths really helps with an excellent fit. I put rubber zip soles on mine for around $35 and they will last for years with the only thing to do is polish.

Absolutely gorgeous shoe, but unfortunately, not true to width size. A "4E" is more like a "D" or maybe "E" at best. I picked up a pair of Rockports, and they are a real "4E."
