So far so good. Take stethoscope and clipboard to work. Yeti on the side for water.

I really do love this backpack, but there are a few design flaws.
I tend to carry a lot of pens and highlighters and usually use the front pocket to store all my personal belongings such as keys, airpods and my wallet. I find that the pocket becomes super heavy compared to the rest of the backpack when it's got stuff in it and causes my backpack to fall over or slip down which is super annoying.
I used to own the jester backpack before this and noticed immediately how much heavier this backpack is in comparison which is surprising since I did not think there was much of a difference other than extra compartments. The padding on the backpack makes it bearable, but it still become uncomfortable at times.
The water bottle pockets could also be a little steeper

I bought this backpack because my back was hurting a lot with my previous bag from another company. This bag is saving my back. the fact that the back of the backpack is a harder material makes the backpack stay upright and helps to distribute the weight of the things in the backpack more easily. I also love all the compartments inside that help organize my stuff. Also, their are two straps to tie it in front of you and it also helps distribute the weight of the back more eavenly so my shoulders and back don't feel so much pain. The color was even prettier in real life.

These backpacks last for years. We are on our third for our high schooler. We bought our first one in Kinder!

Listen, I've had relationships that lasted shorter than my commitment to this backpack.
This isn't just a backpackit's a portable organizational utopia. The FlexVent suspension system hugs my back like it's apologizing for every uncomfortable bag I've ever owned. Those padded shoulder straps? Chef's kiss. I've carried this beast through airports, hiking trails, and aggressive subway commutes, and my spine still thinks I'm 22.
The front elastic bungee cord is my spirit animal. Wet jacket? Throw it on there. Impulse grocery purchase? Strap it down. It's like having a tiny, extremely efficient roadie following you around.
Can we talk about the pockets? FIFTEEN organizational pockets. I found my sunglasses from 2022 in one of them (okay, that's on me, but still). The fleece-lined laptop sleeve treats my computer better than I treat myself. The side water bottle pockets actually HOLD water bottles without ejecting them onto the pavementrevolutionary concept, I know.
At 28 liters, it's the Goldilocks of backpacks: not too big, not too small, just right for pretending you have your life together. Whether you're a student, commuter, or professional mess like me, the Borealis doesn't judgeit just performs.
Worth. Every. Penny.

I use it for school and work (i never leave home feeling like i left something). It's great for carrying all for tools and accessories that you use for tech. I wish it had a water bottle clip, size not ideal for big bottles

I use it for fishing, camping, school, and everything else. It was waterproof enough to keep my stuff dry while fishing.

Bought this to replace my older Borealis I bought in 2019. Compared to my older backpack, the decline in material quality is insane. Flimsier fabric. Metal zippers replaced by cheap plastic. No more vents on the shoulder straps. Less durable stitching. The cost cutting is apparent, sad to see the drop in quality. Returned the backpack in favor of my older one.

I needed a new backpack for a new position at work which required commuting downtown 3x a week. I have bought really nice backpacks for my kids (for school), but not for me. My husband is a huge TNF fan and suggested I get a backpack from them. I feel
like an RB - never have I ever owned such a classy backpack that is so well made, functional and nice fitting plus it fits my overly large laptop too. Thank you North Face for your craftsmanship!
