Classic Look, Takes some wear -
Love the classic look of these boots, although I wish the black was a bit darker...it almost looks a little grey-ish to me. I didn't find the need to go up a size as others have (narrow fit), but these boots do take a bit of wear to break in...I have another pair of 'em, so I knew that.

Big black boots -
These boots are slick. They fit right, they're comfortable, and they go well with rock n roll. I did have to go a size larger than normal with them though.

Great Pair of Boots -
Order was received about 16 hours after I ordered them, most impressive. The boots are good looking, well fitting and the comfortable boot that I have ever worn. My only issue with them is that leg of the boot is so wide that its hard to fit boot cut jeans over them.

I ordered a half size smaller than what I normally wear based on the reviews I read. In may case, that was a mistake. I will try my normal size next and hope the fit and feel is vastly improved.

I bought these boots about 2 years ago. The stitching at the top came off on one of them after not even wearing them 10 times. I don't wear them that often so I was really disappointed to see this happen. Other then that they look great

Bought these for my boyfriend 2 X-mases ago. He is really hard on his stuff but evenso:because they were VERY tight to pull on at first he had to tug and tug to get them on (1/2 size larger than normal shoe size) and in the 2nd week one of the pull tabs on the side came unstitched. And even now, two years later, they are not easy t get on and off...his foot is not wide either.
That being said, they are very badass boots....They are his primary shoe and maybe because of this and using them to ride almost every day, they are pretty much thrashed at this point. Looking around at what other boots are available, and given his style/taste, I fully intend to get him another pair this X-mas!

I'm cursed with huge calf muscles. Don't even work out, huge muscular calves were just there at birth, lol. But that is why boots too tall like this don't work for me, can't get them over the calf! I should have known so now I have to return and exchange for the Harness 8R. Only get these if you have thin legs or at least thin or no calf muscles.
I also felt these were too small. I listened to the reviews that said they run large. They are not. I got my exact size and couldn't get them all the way on even trying a very thin dress sock. Only way they slid all the way on was barefoot and who wants to wear boots with no socks. And what if you want a nice warm thick sock for winter. Get a half size larger or even a full size larger if you intend to wear thick socks.
So back they went and the shorter tops, larger size is on the way, hope they work much better because these look awesome and the leather looks premium.

I bought a pair of harness boots in the spring of 2020 to replace update a pair I.ve had for about 12 years. Loved my original pair, new pair is just not as well made. The leather seems lower quaility, I've had stitching issues, and the heels don't seem to want to stay on. All in about eight months time. These were my favorite boots I've owned, this is probably my last pair. I expected more for the price and made in the USA.

Ordered 2 different sizes of the same boot to try, neither had stacked leather soles as stated in the product description, both "dark browns" looked entirely different, and one set had a Frye label sewn in, the other did not. Tried sizes 12 and 13 but the right boot in each set seemed to be identical in size. Returned.

I bought these boots in October. After my first time wearing them, the right boot started developing bad wrinkles across the top and continues to get worse. The left boot is perfect. Now the right boot has developed an irritating squeak as I walk. The stitching on the pull, on the inside of the Right boot has also started to come apart.

Went to buy a new pair and the leather was very thin compared to my current pair. Frye also lowered the quality of the materials used to build the inside of the boot.

I bought these boots in the same 8 1/2 size I've bought all my other Frye boots, which normally fit perfectly. These were a bit snug at first. I thought they would break in like my others over time, but they never did. They hurt my feet even after wearing them a bit and so I cannot wear them at all any more even they are nearly like new.

These have been a huge disappointment. I've been wearing harness boots like this for 2 decades and these are the worst ones I've purchased. Yes the quality is great. The quality of the leather itself is very nice. (Although pretty think leather IMO). But that's the only thing good. Fit true to size: I always wear 12 in harness or cowboy boots, these were the same. The shaft of the boot is pretty big. You definitely won't be wearing slim jeans but you maybe can get lucky with a loose straight fit jeans around these. They are the most uncomfortble boot I've ever had. Worse than walking on wood. I've tried several Dr. Shoe inserts & can't find one that works which is something I've never encounter. And like others said, these do pull my socks down when I walk. I think it's bc the heel is soooo loose...you're foot is trying to walk out of them. Biggest waste of $379. I wore them for couple months hoping they just needed to break in & be awesome. After all, I did save up to have the holy grail of boots: Frye. Nope. $225 Chippewas were far better & still made in USA. Best bang for the buck was my Double H. Look exactly same, thicker leather, way more comfortable, still made in USA at less than half the price of Frye. I wish I could get my money back.

As a longtime Frye boot owner, I was very excited about my new boots, but I was terribly disappointed: they are cut so small that I couldn't even get the boot past my arch/instep, let alone onto my foot! When I called to express my dismay, I was told that Frye's new "modern" fit was mich narrower- too bad, because I would have loved to wear Frye boots again! Oh well...
