Wow... If you're looking for a harness boot, this is it. When it comes to motorcycle boots, I’ve always been a Chippewa man (Engineer style). I decided to give the Frye Engineer a go once, but it didn't compare to my Chippewas. With that in mind, I ordered Chippewa’s Harness boot and sadly wasn't impressed. Reading the reviews on the Frye Harness, I gave in and the only mistake I made was waiting to do it. While Chippewas rule the world of the Engineer boot, Frye dominates the Harness world. The fit is perfect and the pictures don't do it justice at all! Do yourself a favor, save the time and trouble and spend that little extra and get the best Harness boot out there. I can't wait to break them in and give them some character! Thanks Zappos for another prompt delivery and service that cannot be beat!

What happened? I ordered these boots because of past reviews about the Frye craftsmanship. So I bought a pair of these great looking boots, fit perfect, BUT the heels were falling of the boot. Left boot the heel was half falling off and the other boot the heel had a 1/4 inch gap. Well let's see how this next pair works out.

These boots right out of the box require no "break in" period. They are extremely comfortable and strongly recommended. They are also in my opinion, a great looking boot.

Comfortable with USA Craftsmanship - I've been wearing this boots for about 18mos now-- at least 3 times a week. This pair is comfortable and made in USA with real leather. I've wore other brand of boots before and this is on my list of one the best craftsmanship.

Husband's birthday present - I got these boots for my husband and he loves them. They required very little breaking in. True sizing. I recommend these boots over other similar styles.

Good Boot, Great Service - I ordered a pair of Chippewa boots first and even though they were very well made they were too heavy. And the pull tab was not sewn properly. I returned them and ordered Frye. Comfortable right out of the box fit great, look great. I wore them all day the first day and very comfortable. Frye makes good boots and Zappos service is outstanding.

Classic Frye boot - I absolutely love Zappos.com. I looked everywhere for classic Frye boots. It is impossible to find boots in the summer. I found exactly what I was looking for. They were for my son’s birthday and he is very picky. I ordered them the afternoon before his birthday and they arrived the next morning. He was thrilled with them and they fit perfectly.

Frye Harness 12R boots except no substitute! I normally wear a size 8 in just about everything and I have a slightly narrow foot. I have read a lot of reviews and debated ordering a half size smaller, but choose not to and I am glad I didn't. Because when they arrived they had the traditional half inch of slide in the heel, but then after I broke them in forming a crease across the top of the boot where my toes bend they no longer have the slip in the heel and feel great. Also, I first ordered a pair of Chippewa boots (good quality boot and darker than Fryes) from another web site (don't do it). I was trying to save a little money, because Fryes are fairly expensive. They took twice as long to arrive than from Zappos and when I discovered that Chippewas do run a half size larger I had to return them and pay for the return shipping myself. I have still not received my money back for them. So the moral of this story is get what you want and get it from Zappos! It might cost a little more, but you'll get it faster and if you do make a mistake you can send them back fast and with no charge!

Frye Boot - The boot was just what I was looking for. When they arrived 2 days later they fit perfect. The price was fair and I don't think I could get any better service. I guess you could say I am very satisfied.

About a month. I really like these boots, but I have never owned any other boots. They have held up really well so far, and are really comfortable. I will try to give an update after a little more use.

I love Zappos - The boots are great...the customer service was out of this world. In an environment where rarely is the customer is treated fairly, Zappos provides a breath of fresh air. Will not hesitate to purchase from Zappos in the future.

Boot Review - Great boots! My husband liked his first pair so much that he bought the same pair in another color.

Fashionable winter wear - The toe has a nice squared look that is not too sharp. It gives the boot a nice clean look. It's easy to maintain and will go with pretty much anything. You can wear it with jeans or with dress pants for a nice dressed down formal look. Very versatile and comfortable. One of the best purchases made. The boot will also give you some height.

Classic, masculine and hot - These boots are a little stiff at first, but they are breaking in nicely. They look even better than I thought they would. I wish I had not waited so long to buy them.

A little hard - I liked this boot, but found that there was not much padding in the foot bed. However, since they fit a little loose, it was easy enough to put an insert in.

A classic comeback - Had these when I was a kid 'bout 30 years ago...and they were a joy to rediscover.

Frye Harness Boot- Comfort: I gave them a 5 because they are the most comfy for this type of boot. I ride motorcycles everyday and have owned many different boots. I found that this boot keeps my feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I've had my last pair of Frye's for ten years and I still wear them. They are definitely worth the money if you wear them a lot like I do.

Perfect - I wore these boots 30 years ago and they haven't changed. They have a true size fit and a soft leather that doesn't have to be broken in. It's a great look in a great boot.

Best boots ever - I have been wearing boots since I was a kid. I am now 38 and these are the best boots I have ever worn. I wish I had discovered them sooner. They felt comfortable from the second I put them on and they have become even more comfortable.

fabulous boots you need! These boots are way better than you expect--the inner soles are padded in a way that is superior to any other boot. There is no breaking in, they are immediately comfortable and fit your foot perfectly. They also are very good looking with jeans.

Just like old times! All I can say is that if you're searching for the perfect pair of harness boots, then stop where you are and order these now! Just order a half size smaller than you normally wear. Back when I was in high school, we were all wearing Frye Harness Boots, and just to be a "Rebel" most of us wore them without socks...which is unusual I know, but they were quite comfortable this way. Also the frowns we got from our moms when they saw us pulling them on barefoot just added to the thrill. Anyway, 20 years later I found that Fryes are still available and just had to re-live the past. They are still well-made with about a 2 hour break-in and are still the most comfortable boots I've ever worn! The only difference between then and now is that it's my wife that gives me funny looks as I still refuse to wear socks with them! Ryan

Frye Harness 12R - Great Boots! They look and feel wonderful. There was no break-in time at all with these boots. Zappos is great my orger arrived in 2 days!
