I bought a pair of these last year in the navy and wore them constantly for all winter. Finally the wool wore off under my heel and at the side. They were nice and comfortable, so I replaced them them this year with a new pair in black. The fleece lining in the new pair doesn't seem as thick and though I've had them for only about a month, the fleece is already worn off the side of one slipper where my toe rubs against it. This pair is not of the same quality as last year's and I am disappointed! Now I have to buy another pair of slippers for the winter.

They were comfy and fluffy the first week, but shortly after they didnt ofter as much comfort when walking. They seem to not be as snug as the first few days. They do keep my feet warm, but seem too big after a couple weeks wear.

These slippers seem to run small. I usually wear an 8-1/2 and the Large 8-9 is a little too short. They are also very warm, too hot for me. The synthetic sheep skin lining makes bare feet slip and so they tend not to grip your feet. They're better than Dearfoams but I wouldn't buy them again.

Comfortable but dangerous! These are comfortable indeed. I admit with a little embarrassment, however, that at least three times in walking down carpeted stairs, I nearly tumbled to the bottom by catching the slippers' rubber treads on the carpet. Yes, it was early in the morning, but I'm young and fit. I'd hate to subject an elderly or disabled person to that kind of peril! I've retired my "old friends" with regret.

This slipper was a HUGE disappointment. The color was nowhere close to navy-it was more like a dark gray and the lining was more yellow than off white. I am a size 8 and the size L (8-9) just fit. I would encourage you to order up a size if you are unsure. The sole was hard rubber...good for walking but not what I would consider comfy-cozy. Overall, very disappointed...they will be returned

So warm. Yet so stretched out. Sad times, would return if I could. These are so warm and so comfy. I want to snuggle the heck out of them and crush them with my love. That said, after only a few wears over a few days, inside the apartment, they wore out like Seattle Slew after some races and now when I simply walk around in them in my apartment they fall off my feet, causing me to trip and stumble like a drunken sailor. They had such potential and such great reviews. That said they are now enormous on me, like I'm wearing yachts on my feet. I wish I could return and get something else, I'd probably invest in similar warmth but with a heel so they wouldn't be able to stretch out so much in the ball of the foot.

I wrote a review the day I received these slippers (which you can see below). They really seemed to be made well. Nice thick soles, nice dark brown leather uppers (darker than pictured actually), and super soft fur lining. Great fit too. Now for an update. Here it is, almost exactly three weeks later (11/07/2013), and tonight there are chunks of fur detaching from the footbed of both slippers!? This is ridiculous! How old was the sheepskin to begin with? I was going to come here to rewrite this review anyway since they are very loose now too, and were quite snug and cozy at first, but the fur has matted and condensed to the point where I have walked out of them and literally have to shuffle my feet to keep them on. And now with the footbed disintegrating. I am not hard on shoes and this is the first pair of shoes from Zappos that I have been unhappy with (not counting the ones that I have returned for not fitting well at the get go). I have Uggs that I have worn for years and the lining is still intact. I am very disappointed in this brand. And of course now I cannot return them because I have worn them. There goes money in the toilet.

I am very disappointed with these slippers. I searched for some time before deciding to purchase them to replace a very durable pair of Kirkland Shearling slippers from Costco that I had worn for years. Within a couple of months of purchase, the wool lining on the Old Friend slippers started to separate from the body of the shoe, and has since continued to tear and shed. I now have a gaping bare space on my slippers where the wool lining should be. Since I didn't snag the slippers on anything, I have no idea what could have caused this other than poor construction. I also have a pair of Ugg shearling slippers. I have not experienced any problems with those. These slippers are warm and cozy but are an overall poor value because they are falling apart in well under a year of wear (which includes a summer when I hardly wore them at all).

Very cute and warm and what I thought were the perfect scuffs until the lining started coming out. When I put them on the first time I kept feeling something at my toes and thought I must have left some packaging in...as it turns out it was some of the fluffy lining. For the next 2 days every time I pulled my foot out, the fluff was between my toes. Now there is a bald spot where my big toe goes. These shoes are not inexpensive and certainly not what I expect when I make a purchase from Zappos. By now it's too much of a pain to return them so my loss...this really rubs me the wrong way!

Too small-should have known better--if you're on the larger size of a shoe meant to fit 2 sizes; it never works out. Too bad, nice slippers.

The slipper is attractive and the fleece is warm but I am returning it because it offers no arch support. I have high arches and need support and there is none here.

Wish there was an option for no stars! ...I bought these slippers three months ago and immediately the fleece mashed down to nothing. I posted a review even back then. I think now it is time I share my latest problem with these slippers. Last night I noticed that the fleece under my little toe was actually gone! No wonder they have been painful as of late. I hope my review can help someone...

Better than Uggs: My heel doesn't slip off the back. The cut of the scuff is angled perfectly to keep your foot in the slipper. Has lasted for years and is still beautiful and toasty warm. Will buy again when needed.

More comfortable around the foot (less tight) than my UGGs. Beautiful color, cozy warm. Have lasted for years.

This is an excellent quality slipper. I had usually purchased Uggs slippers but this is less expensive and actually equal quality. I've worn this slipper every day since I purchased it last August and they still look brand new and the fleece inside is still fluffy. Excellent quality and value.

I have worn Ugg scuff slippers for many years and was disappointed when I ordered a new pair this year and found them to be very uncomfortable and not the quality of fleece I had experienced in my previous pairs. After returning them I tried the Old Friend scuff and find them to be excellent quality, fluffy fleece, a durable sole for quick trips outside and I love the hot pink color. I am very pleased with this purchase and feel they have a lot of value for the money.

These slippers are super comfy! I especially like the open heel cays I tend to get too warm! Sooo soft and true to size!

I love this slipper. However, after 2 years, the slipper is worn out, so I just re-ordered it from Zappos. Thanks Zappos! You are the best!!!!!!

Cozy! Very warm! I’m a size 11. When I put them on I thought I would not be able to wear them with socks but after wearing the for a bit they are stretching a bit and socks fit just fine. No arch support but I don’t need it so it works. I would totally buy another pair of these in the future.

I love these but I wear a 6.5 and if you wear anything bigger I don't think they will fit. They were a little tight at first but after a few wears they have stretched put some.

I wear a size 10 and the XL was too small - my heels were hanging out over the edge.

Love these slippers! So soft and cozy.
