These boots are lovely but they are not comfortable. I have several pairs of La Canadienne boots and these are the only pair that are not comfortable so they're going back. The sole feels very thin with not much cushioning and for the price I expect comfort. Shame because they are beautiful.

I was hoping the toe box would be wider. Cute style though. Very soft leather and inside fur.

I'm bummed these didn't work for me. They are so cute but I didn't find them flattering on me. I really want some stylish but not too dressy black weatherproof boots that I can wear with dresses and with skinny jeans. I have skinny calves and I thought these were too big. Yes, even scrunched, as they are supposed to be worn. To my eye, the scrunchy part above seemed out of proportion to the slim lines of the foot part of the boot. They are extremely comfortable -- you could definitely wear them as slippers! But I can't spend over $400 on slippers! I'll keep looking.

I am size 7 in most shoes and 7.5 in running shoes. Size 7 fits fine, 7.5 had some room but I kept 7 thinking it will stretch with wear. Bought this shoes for my Europe trip in December after trying out several Sorel boots. Walking in rain was no problem, and had good traction in snow. Main reason I kept this was because I liked the style and the concept (waterproof, slouchy fit, suede, and shearling interior); however, these shoes are not made for walking 7+ hours everyday. The sole is made of hard rubber, shearling insole is not padded and doesn't keep your toes warm if you are outside for too long. Other than the style the comfort was not like others have described. For the price, my recommendation would be find something with more support and lesser price.

I wanted to love these. The price was extravagant, but I was willing to splurge for a lovely warm comfortable pair of well made boots. These are not them. The sole was hard as a rock, and they ran narrow. The length was so generous that ordering up to get a little wider width was not an option. The calf ran big, though the faux fur snuggling around my leg was heavenly. Very disappointed.

These boots are adorable. They are incredibly comfortable and very cute. They are lightweight, and unlike most boots, they make your feet feel small and ladylike. Sadly though, I had to return these. I have wide calves, and even with a wide width size, it was just too tight. This is the perfect winter boot. I really wish it had fit.

I bought these books six years ago, and I'm STILL wearing them! Super comfortable, stylish, and nice and warm in the winter.

I bought my first pair back in 2010 for a winter trip to Paris, when they cost only $275. That pair has been amazing and lasted all these years, and the suede held up well until I started doing slushy walks with my dog a few years ago. The interior fuzz held up perfectly. The bottom of the shoe hardly wore down. The interior footbed wore out a bit, but we're talking a decade of good use. The price has slowly been creeping upward but I finally decided to buy them for twice as much. They're 100% worth it and I'm over the moon to have these boots all new and spiffy again. I typically buy size 10 for running shoes, hiking, and snow boots to allow for extra room/thick socks. These don't feel like size 10, more like 9.5. I have a standard toe width but very narrow feet, and high arches. I like that these feel more fitted for me, so if you love the wide fit of Merrills, these aren't for you. The suede is gorgeous and defies light, like a black hole. While I can flip the tops down to be cute during the holidays, they look even better flipped up so it's just black. The extra suede on the calf serves as rouching, and they add some texture with fitted-ankle jeans. These are warm and perfect for freezing temps. I highly recommend.

Crazy expensive, but worth every penny. These boots are stylish, warm and comfortable. The trifecta of the perfect pair of boots. As an aside, I do not care for the look of slouchy boots which is why I was a little hesitate to purchase these. You really can wear them "pulled" up so they are not particularly slouchy.

Very comfortable boots for walking, hanging out! Soft faux lining inside that does not itch or irritate. 3rd pair of same boot. Love them...

Wow! Just wow! Bought these especially for a trip to the snow. The trip is in doubt, so I thought to myself, "I might have to return these expensive boots if the trip doesn't pan out" but as soon as I slipped them on I knew immediately that trip or no trip, I would not be returning them. They are so beautiful and comfortable. These boots will be a wintertime staple for many years to come.

This was more money than I ever spent in my entire life for shoes/boots. They were perfect in every way. They are the most perfectly beautiful boots I have ever had on. I could have walked all day in them and had perfectly dry feet. Just perfect. I simply could not spend that much money. I hate to see them go.

Wore these boots all winter -- my new absolute favorites. I added arch support inserts to help my bunion. I have a narrow heel, so they're a little loose in the back, but the arch support inserts pretty much fix that problem.

I usually wear 9W and these felt just right. Comfy and stylish and pretty hardy! I was traveling and did not have hiking boots, and these sufficed just fine on snowy moderate trails (about 3 miles). Highly recommended.

Georgeous Boot!! Warm and comfortable. I plan on wearing these for apres ski. I don't find them too narrow in the calf as other reviews suggested and I have muscular calves. They are to be worn scrunched- they cannot be pulled up straight.

I've had these boots for 6 years and still wear them almost everyday in the winter. I can wear them with leggings, jeans, or even a sweater dress and tights. Super comfortable and la canadienne always protects you from snow and rain.

Great boot!

After looking and looking for a pair of boots that would match my needs, I was pretty frustrated when I found these lovely boots. They are comfortable, really comfortable, can be dressy or not and warm as could be. I purchased them to wear during a visit to our daughter in Chicago (brrrr), and they were perfectly warm. Not only that, on my second wearing, I had them on all day and we walked at least three miles and they were as comfortable as old favorites.

These boots are so comfy! After happily wearing the Jenny boots from La Canadienne for 7 years, I decided to get a new pair. I wanted something that would keep my feet and ankle toasty warm, easy to walk in, and doesn't make me look like a hunky explorer on the north pole. These Trevis boots are 120% what I wanted. It is true to size (I am a size 7), and the Wide model fits me perfectly (with the Jenny I wore WW). The calf is on the tighter side, but I can still fit my skinny jeans in it. I know La Canadienne is not the cheapest brand around, but it is definitely worth every penny considering the quality and style.

I LOVE these boots. La canadienne doesn't disappoint. Comfortable and really cute with skinny jeans or leggings. Waterproof is an added bonus! I have foot problems and usually wear orthotics too.

These boots are way beyond 5 stars My favorite boots ever. I would get a backup pair if they weren't so expensive :( but have had then for years and will eventually break down for another pair. Got them at a local store in town for almost half off will look for another end of season sale. Comfort, warmth without being too warm, quality, great height on your calf, and great looking with jeans/leggings tucked inside. No need to turn them down so the inner lining shows they look great as is!
