OMG!!! These are the best boots ever. Very comfortable, light weight, you can wear them everyday without any discomfort. Just love them. Very, very, very cute when you put them on, they will make your feet look cute, feel good.

Great boot!
This is a wonderful boot! It's warm, lightweight and extremely comfortable. I just wish it was available in brown, too. HIGHLY recommended!

I usually wear either an 8 or 8-1/2.In Uggs I am an 8. I bought these boots in size 8-1/2. At first they felt a little big (my heel moved up and down) but after a while I was glad for the half size bigger which allow me to wear slightly heavier socks and maybe to put an added arch support inside. The boots are beautifully styled. You can wear them rolled down for a more casual ski look or rolled up to be a bit dressier looking.
I'd have been happier if the padding on the foot bed was cushier though. But all in all I am happy with my purchase. I did see that the price on Zappos was higher than the price on the La Canadienne website but when I pointed this out to customer service, they made good and matched the lower price.

I love these boots, as I have loved the other La Canadadienne boots I have bough over the years. They cost way more than I spend on any other boots or shoes, but these have been worth it--warm, waterproof, stylish, comfortable, and they last a long time. The only way my review about how fabulous they are differs from any of the other review is that I find them hard to take on and off without a zipper. They work great with skirts, but I find the shaft is too narrow for me to wear with pants tucked inside, and they are a little bulky if I wear them under pants. Still, I'd buy them again--they have been perfect for cold, NYC waalking.

These are really cute! Only problem is that it feels a little tight near the top of the right heel so I feel like they won't be comfortable for lots of walking. Might be just this particular boot but unfortunately, I'll be returning.

Lovely soft suede, warm faux fur, great casual styling. Felt small and too narrow for me. If I could get a size that fit I would definitely pay the price.
Only 3 stars for comfort because they could use more cushioning in the footbed, which really should be removable.

These are incredible boots! So comfortable and so versatile. The top can be pulled up to be taller boots or rolled down to be closer to ankle boots. Its like 2 boots in one! I am beyond impressed and this is exactly why you have "1 ouch" over the price instead of "50 ouches" buying cheaper boots and replacing them over and over again as well as sacrificing comfort. These should last me for years and are a classic style.

I just purchased my 4th pair of these in the past 15 years (get about 5 years per pair). When I find the best snow/sludge boot, I stick with it. Have lived in both Chicago and Boston and they have been able to stand up to the winters. Love that they are pull on/off (I hate lacing boots) and that they are still sturdy. The price has gone up every purchase (I think my first pair was around $250). Unfortunately, this may be my last pair- I don’t think I’ll go past $600.

Finally, a wide foot bed on a good looking boot! I don't know why more shoe companies don't make widths.

These boots are comfortable and stylish. I haven't tested them in cold snowy weather but I've always had satisfaction with La Canadienne boots before. They are expensive but from the reviews I've read they are worth it. Skimping on boots in winter can be both uncomfortable and dangerous. I hope that these meet the winter test.

I didn't want to like this boot because of its price but I LOVE them. They are a nice, trim, waterproof, winter boot with a nice fake fur lining and I intend to wear them all over Paris. Additionally, I am thrilled to have a boot made in Canada instead of China. Do go up a half size if you want to wear a warm sock with them. The foot area is not as warm as the shaft and there is little padding to the insole. I received my normal 7 1/2 and while they fit they are narrow and a little tight with an angora wool sock , so I am going to try the 8. I will report back which works better. If you have a wide calf these will not work for you. My calves are very slim and they fit closely (which is a big plus for me). A slight down point is the rubber soles. They are very plain, almost ugly. I would prefer something a little nicer looking and more springy since their is little padding in the foot bed and no room to add a liner. The rubber outsoles on my Rieker boots is more attractive then the ones on these boots. No one will know how much these boots cost by looking at them . Are they worth it? I would say yes since I love them and I am keeping them they seem so well made and perfect for my needs to be warm and stylish. I prefer them not rolled down for a little dressier day look

I love these boots. I'm a size 5 and these are perfect in a size 5. I have several pairs of La Canadienne boots and, though expensive, they all fit well, are very comfortable and fit well--plus they really last. I had my eye on these for a few years--especially after reading the good reviews and finally decided to take the plunge and buy them. Better than expected, very comfortable and they look great. Slide on and off easily and fit very well. My only regret--I didn't buy them sooner!

I've been wanting a pair of soft, black, low heel, waterproof leather boots for a long time, that I can tuck jeans in and wear with skirts, but all the boots these days are very tight to the ankle and calf. I loved both the Trevis and the Taliah. The Trevis is slouchy and can be folded down or up. It also has a seam going straight up the front middle of the boot. The Taliah is styled more like a cowboy boot in that the seams are on the sides of the boot and it has a tongue of leather up the front. The Taliah is not a slouch boot, but it is slightly slouchy, with a slit in the back and a rim of leather around the top. They both fit the same, but in the end I felt the Taliah was a hair more comfortable around the ankle because of the way the seams lay, and I didn't like the say the rim of leather was sewn around the top of the Taliah. Even though the 9 1/2 medium fit me perfectly, I went with the Wide so I can add extra arch support and thick socks.

These are my 3rd pair of La Canadienne Boots. The comfort, durability and stylishness of the brand are unsurpassed in my opinion. Hard to wear anything else once you've worn these.
With that said, the Trevis has a few things you should know about it:
1) the molded sole is a harder type plastic, or rubber. It's not the gummier rubber of my other La Canadienne's. I love it less, because it is a bit stiffer. I think that makes the footbed not as comfortable. But I have a mortons neuroma in my right foot so I'm super sensitive to comfort. These aren't awful, they're just not soft in the footbed
2) the slouch is permanent. You can un-cuff them, but not un-slouch them.
3) these are very unpretentious boots. Meaning that I don't think they LOOK expensive. Only you will know how much you paid.
4) they run a little small.
My other two pairs are 7.5 and I feel like I could have maybe gone with an 8 in these and been ok with heavier socks.
So, I need versatile black boots. These are warm and cozy, I think we will have a long relationship. Keepers.

I love this boot! It is just as comfortable as my Uggs and seems to make my foot smaller looking! Plus waterproof! My sister travels a lot and said these are a 'must have' for snowy places (and I am on my way to Buffalo for Xmas). She gave them to me as an early Christmas gift. How lucky can I get!

WOW, WOW, and WOW... These are exactly the boots I was looking for! They are by far my most versatile pair of boots (of which I have many) and are worth the price tag in every way. Warm, comfortable, and trendy whether you choose to show the fur at the top or not. Go for it - you will not be disappointed!

Loved almost everything about this boot. The bottom is not insulated enough for cold weather. Even with thick socks my feet got cold. Buy them bigger so that you may put liners in.

This is my favorite boot. Beautiful, soft inside, and waterproof. Unfortunately, my older ones (only a year old) no longer fit because of the full orthotic I now have to wear. I thought the 9 (one half size up) might work, but it still is too tight across the arch, so will either have to try another size or search for another style. Even without my orthotic woes, though, this boot does feel a bit smaller than marked.

I bought an earlier version of these boots about seven years ago when I was going to school in Montreal. I wore them every day through the six month winter, during my hour long walk to and from school, for four years. Then I let them go because I was moving to warmer climes and I hadn't taken good enough care of them so they were scruffy, not ruined though. When I moved to Chicago, all I wanted was these boots back. The price had gone up (probably too high) but I bought them, and am again very happy in them. Warm, comfortable, good looking boots.

Great looking casual boot -
This is a very comfortable casual boot and feels like it would be warm - with "fur" extending throughout boot. I ended up returning because I needed a dressier boot. I really wanted to LOVE these, but they didn't suit my needs. I ordered half size bigger, so could wear with thick socks. Have to say my first Zappos experience couldn't have been better - excellent customer service, returns the easiest! One of the best online shopping experiences I have had.

I have a few LC boots and mostly enjoy them all. I like these Trevis boots also - comfort, style, warmth, support etc. HOWEVER, I do not think they are worth $525. I feel this way about my other LC boots too, but I was able to buy those highly discounted. I decided to pay the full price for the Trevis boots, but honestly, I have boots of other brands that cost in the $200+ category that are easily of equal quality, style, & comfort - if not moreso. If you feel you just "have to have" these or other LC boots, I suggest buying them on sale. For all their good features, they just are not worth the $525. Oh, and I also recommend LC boots that are smooth leather vs the suede, because the suede starts looking a little rugged after a while and isn't easy to remove the marks, whereas the smooth leather can be polished up and generally revived more easily.
