Second Pair!
This is the second pair of van's era core classics I've owned. I lost my last pair in a horrible poison ivy removal experience. They're a great shoe, nice fit and style. Work well for all usage. The only issue I have with them is the tongue slips down. This is offset by cutting it off.
I'd also recommend:

Basic -
A good shoe for if you need a basic pair of kicks. The one major problem I have with these shoes is that the interior lining is like sandpaper on my heel so I have to wear socks over it which defeats the overall coolness of a shoe like this. I got in black; it doesn't get dirty looking in my snowy and road salty climate so that’s good.

Good shoes -
I like these shoes, the only problem is that they rip around the front/side from skateboarding pretty easily.

Classic but tighter than the comparable pair I tried on from the same order. Without additional insoles I would size up a half size but with my custom insoles I would need to size up 1 entire size.

The all-black look is exactly what I wanted but the fit was too narrow and too small. Even though they are factory tagged as size 10, I suspect they were incorrectly labeled.
I have size 10 in five different brands in my closet and none of them fit like these.

I used this product 3 times for work and my feet are killing me. Previously I was buying the Era ComfyCush and those shoes were really comfortable. I must have bought over 10 pair and loved them. The skate Era has less support without a doubt.

Left shoe is semi-comfortable. Back of right shoe keeps poking my feet, making it very uncomfortable to wear for a long time.

Got a pair of Eras during the most recent $20 off each shoe sale. They came in the mail today and the first time I tried the left one on, the tongue ripped immediately. They fit perfect, I wasn't pulling or struggling to get them on, just immediately ripped. I also got a pair of Authentics and they didn't rip, although I did notice all four pairs have frayed unfinished edges on both sides of each tongue. Like the bottom sides of each tongue are not attached to the inside of the shoe, just a small part of the bottom.

Luckily this pair was good fit and didn't have to return like some past orders. Unfortunately I am stuck with 2 other pairs of Vans that went past the 60 day return policy that are defective and still like new but no way to return them?

My kids need all-black flat shoes for their private school, and Vans have the look / are recommended. The kids do complain some about the fit though, specifically:
- Narrow at the front end of the foot. We went up 1/2 size for my daughter to try and address this, and there is plenty of room at the toe, but she says the sides of her foot still feel "squeezed"
- Heel is stiff and narrow. Both kids came home from the first day of wearing, with skin chafed off from their heel / lower part of the Achilles.
These should both get better with breaking in and wear, but it would be great if they were somehow designed to be bit more comfortable out of the box.
For the value and look, I would definitely recommend to a friend or other parents. However the kids whining about the fit and comfort out of the box is a bit difficult to deal with; I would be hesitant to recommend and then have other kids complain to their parents that I referred them to something uncomfortable they don't like.

Great style and a super comfy footbed. The back of the shoe offered no support and seem to dig into my daughter's heal. The size ordered was one full size larger than her normal shoe size.

The shoes are way shorter than other size 16s I've had as my toes hit the front of the shoe. They are also very tight. I tried them out and had to take them off in a couple of hours. I tried the next day in case they stretched out a little but with the same result; I could wear them only a couple of hours before my feet hurt. It's a shame as other than that I can tell they are comfortable shoes.

For some reason, this pair felt a bit smaller than the exact same Van's Era Core Classics in the past. Hoping they will stretch out with wear.

My husband says these felt true to size, but are not very comfortable. Width of toe box is a little small and little to no cushion.

These Van's are made of canvas not like my previous pair that were all leather and comfortly lined on the inside. Cheaply made!

Fit was fine and design is great. However the materials on the inside (rubber/faux leather) were rubbing my ankles raw. I couldn't walk more than 20 feet without having a sharp/stinging pain on my skin.

Hi Folks, No arch support in this shoe at all, but that's okay. I expected that. Van's were originally made for 'skateboarders' right? I was a big-time skateboarder back in the day (1970's)... I remember when Van's first came out.
No internet. They were hard to get. But, they always had/and still have - great grippy soles. My right foot is wider than the left and my pinky-toe rubs a little on the right. But, it seems to be getting better as the shoes break-in. I'm happy with them and I would recommend them. Zappo's shipping is taking much longer than it used to when they were a new company. Not too happy about that. I used the 'freebee' shipping... As far as the sizing goes, I think they're spot-on. I wear a men's 11. Except for the width on the right foot, I've got a good fit. Suggestions for Van's: I would add a 'loop -slit' in the tongue to keep it in position. I have problems with the tongues. And if they're not in position, the shoes are unconfortable.

Pretty nice. But one shoe has a ripple in the sole on the inside of the shoe. I only noticed when I put my hand inside. I can’t feel it with my foot so it doesn’t bother me. Other than that the shoes fit perfect and true to size.
