I've had these boots for 5 years, and they're still my favorite and most comfortable footwear. I had to have them re-soled after the fourth year of wearing them nearly every day of every season, but that is to be expected with boots. The dark brown color gets lighter as they age, but mine are still a very rich brown. These boots are worth every penny.

These are absolutely beautiful boots! They are expensive but worth the money, in my opinion. This was my first pair of cowboy boots and now I wear them all the time! I've had them for about a year now and they still look almost like new, and I've only had to polish them a couple times. I fully expect that they will last me many years with proper care. They are also very comfortable for walking in. I live in a city and walk everywhere. I can walk a couple miles in these comfortably and still look fashionable! One thing to note and they do run narrow! I ordered the regular width and couldn't even get my foot all the way in. I had to send them back and order the wide (thanks to Zappos for the easy returns!) even though I have a fairly narrow foot and many shoes are too wide for me. Even the wide felt tight at first, but with a few wears they stretched a little and conformed to my foot. Would absolutely buy Lucchese again!

Great boot - My first pair of cowboy boots. Didn't know what to expect but these are very comfortable and great looking. The stitching is really nice and I'd say they are worth the money.

What WONDERFUL boots! I can't believe how comfortable these boots are. They felt wonderful from the moment I put them on- I didn't need to break them in. There IS a difference in Lucchese boots. I'd only buy this brand from now on. These are GORGEOUS boots, too, besides being so comfortable. I've gotten so many compliments on them, and I feel really special, wearing them. I just love them! I would only buy boots, shoes, handbags from Zappos! I had some questions, before I purchased the boots- I called and a woman who was an expert on these- has worn western boots most of her life, answered my questions! I had also purchased another pair of boots in the same order- different brand- which didn't fit as well or look as good, and I returned those. Zappos return policy makes everything so easy. Wonderful shoe shopping experience, as always!

Cool boots - I have been waiting for the day I can wear them! Why is it still so hot? Not the perfect shoes for 90 degree weather, I guess. File leather, well crafted. And they look good, too.

Barefoot! I had trouble with a bunion as I stated in an earlier review. I slipped these on with bare feet and was able to wear them all day without a problem! It was wonderful!

Another great Lucchese boot - This is my third pair of 1883 boots. The leather is wonderful, as is the slightly used look. Comfortable from the very beginning. I have narrow feet, and these are not way too wide for me.

These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. This is my second pair. They are made to fit a narrow foot, so if your feet are wide, beware. I also ordered a half size smaller than I normally wear and they fit perfect. I highly recommend these boots.

I have never been so excited as the night I received my Lucchese boots - like a kid at Christmas!! I love these boots. I had tried on a pair at a store while on vacation, but they did not have the color I wanted, but I knew the Lucchese's were for me!! The fit is out of this world. The first ever western boot that I can truly say wears like a dream and looks so good!!! This is exactly the color I was looking for, the chocolate brown and the stitching is so nicely done!! I know this will be my first of many more to come as I am already trying to decide what color pair number two needs to be!! I did a lot of comparison shopping and Zappos had great prices and FREE delivery. I then got an even bigger surprise - Zappos upgraded me to one day delivery at no COST!!! I ordered the boots one night late and the next night I went online to track my order and it said that UPS delivered the package to my door two hours earlier!! I ran to my front door and on my porch were the boots!!! I cannot say enough about Zappos and their wonderful service and products and prices. I have ordered shoes from Zappos once before, but I will be ordering more in the future! Again, if you are looking for the best pair of Western boots ever, order a pair of Lucchese's. These chocolate brown go with so much and the leather is so nice. I am one happy customer!! Thank you Zappos and Lucchese!!!!

The Lucchese boot is the most comfortable footwear that I have ever worn. I am so fortunate to live in a part of the world that encourages the wearing of this type of boot. I have been on a quest for 'the most' comfortable footwear for a long time. I tried athletic shoes thinking that would be the best bet. Amazing as it sounds, a good pair of cowgirl boots beats anything made for comfort and the Lucchese boot is designed to be the most comfortable of all. After trying my first pair of Lucchese boots, I am now unable to wear anything else. I have adjusted my clothing choices to fit the style and reach for my boots as often as I can. I now have 6 pairs and may stop here. All of them are wonderful. There is very little written on the many benefits of this type of footwear, but think about it. A cowboy, who works hard all day everyday would never wear anything else and Lucchese is the very best made.Zappos has the best prices and policies. Great retailer. Love these boots! Great color and mild vintage look work well with jeans. I wear a size 8.5 or 9, depending on the width of the shoe, but rarely need an actual wide width. I got these boots in 9 for a better fit. The 8.5 fit, but I felt like my forefoot was sort of bulging over the sides of the sole a bit. Love the 1.5 inch heel and goat leather makes them feel like old favorites right out of the box. They are so worth the money.

I got them few months ago and since then I have been choosing my clothes so I can wear them almost every day! I absolutely love them! They are very comfortable, sock or bare foot, from day one. I had to replace the heel, it wore after 3 weeks, what was very surprising, but otherwise they are awesome. I have a slim calf and the shaft opening is high enough and narrow enough, so they look good with skirts, too. The foot fits tight, but very comfortable. I got a pair for my daughter for Christmas and she loves them, too. I would love to find a pair in black!

I love these boots. They are beautiful, fit great and are exactly what I wanted. They are slightly more narrow then my Justin boots, but a thinning sock and they fit perfectly.

I love these boots. I have thought about buying boots like these for a couple of years, but didn't get around to it until last week. After 3 wearings, they've softened up and fit like a dream. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. And it's a bonus that I get so many compliments on them!

These boots are "bad to the bone!" I love them. I have a very narrow foot and that was one reason I ordered them since other reviews mentioned they were very narrow. They are a bit loose in the heel, but from other reviews that will get better with time I hope or perhaps that's just the way boots fit. No matter, I am keeping these and working with them. Perfect color, perfect heel and I am thrilled!

I am ecstatic with my Zappos purchase and the boots themselves. I found the other reviews to be very helpful with my decisions in which size to select, and so this prompted me to add my own review! I have very narrow feet, a narrow heel and low instep, so I have never been successful in finding a pair of boots to fit. I have never ordered shoes online due to this challenge in fitting shoes. After being referred to Lucchese boots as the best fitting boot, and though I was skeptical, I was willing to try because of Zappos' fabulous return policy (also a referral). Let me just say that I have never felt so comfortable in any shoe before, and I am thrilled every time I put on my boots. From the first moment I put them on, they were comfortable and fit and felt supportive without being tight anywhere. I ordered my usual size (8) and they were perfect. Though I have been told that all boots should have a little slipping in the heel, that slip is often what gives me blisters and then I never feel like wearing them again. With these Lucchese boots, I have had no blisters with the little slip, nor anywhere else. I would refer these boots, as well as Zappos to anyone. Thank you!
