I have used Sperry Topsider shoes for several years now on an everyday basis. The styling is perfect for my causal everyday needs. The ties usually secure well and stay secured. The colors match well with my khaki pants, or black pants. I have been purchasing through a shop in the mall, but since I know my size exactly, I have recently started ordering online and saving the time and hassle. I think for the asking price, the shoes are a reasonable value. They won't last forever, but they will last long enough to justify the price. Recommended.

My husband picked these out online and when they came in, he didn't care for them. The shoes had gold on them and he thought they looked too old for him. We are returning for a different color and style.

I have had many pairs of the classic brown a/o boat shoe over the past 30 years; all have been great. But, the leather on my most recent pair is simply not the original leather.

shoes size is small and messing me up

Great shoe, lightweight, soft, looks good and all around comfortable EXCEPT for this ridge in at the front of the heel that feels like you are stepping on a rock or something all of the time. It is so odd. I am so down with no arch support since I have flat feet but that ridge is really uncomfortable on the bottom of my foot.

I love everything Sperry except for the pig lining. I could no longer adore and don Sperry because of the made. For personal reasons. But whomever could live with pig lining, then I will vouch for Sperry.

I introduced the brand to my boyfriend because they are not heard of in his home country. I was really excited to give him a pair and have always heard good things about the shoes. Sadly, after only a season of wearing them they have fallen apart. The sole is no longer fully attached and the inside is falling apart also. He loves the fit and comfort of the shoe and only wears boatshoes but for the price we have had better luck with others. Only due to the fact they hold up better and are still intact after years of wear. I would consider purchasing in the future if the quality improved and I knew the shoe would hold up better but unfortunately with no gaurantee we wont be purchasing again.

This product has thin soles and is not comfortable to walk in for any long period of time

I overall think this shoe is great but the laces untie, and they broke. I was very disappointed and I cannot find the color of the laces. I would like to purchase them but still cannot find it on the website. They always become undone. Other than that the shoe is very comfortable and is very nice to wear.

I have been buying the classic Sahara leather, and buck brown shoes twice a year, for the past 2 years. This time, I ordered 2 new pairs of the original boat shoe in olive green, and blue and saw the lace style has changed. I wanted to know if I could find the original laces now, or have they just been discontinued, and whether sperry have come up with slip ons instead. I am disappointed, with the new cross laces.

The shoe is not the same as it used to be. I am not sure if it is a change in manufacturing or materials but one thing is for sure that the quality of this shoe it not what it used to be. The insole if poorly glued to the bottom of the shoe. Everytime that I walk I can feel a pop in both shoes from a space that is created between the insoles and the base of the shoe. The insole was not even fully glued on when I took the shoes out of the box. It was peeling away on its sides. I. hav never had a single problem with my other pair of 2-eye boat shoes. I like sperry and the quality of prodicts that they produce but they have definitley dropped the ball on this one. I just hope they can return to the original quality in the future. I will surely buy a pair then but for now these will be returned.

Great shoe runs 1/2 to whole size larger.

I've worn Sperry's for 50 years and I just purchased another pair of classic brown A/O's at the Fashion Island store in California. The leather is extremely stiff and uncomfortable. So much so that I can only wear the shoes for about two hours without issues. I probably should not have purchased them. What happened to your legendary quality?

I ordered a pair of the ivory A/O's and when i got them wore them for a day. Love the look and theyre always a great spring/summer shoe. UnforTunately, the seAm near my right big toe was poorly manufactured, so the seam cut into my toe pretty badly. I didnt Bring an extra pair of shoes to chanGe into so i had to suck it up, but unfortunaTely, the cut Is just finishing healing 3 weeks later. (Edit: I apologize for the weird capitalization, the input box is in all caps and phones do weird things). Tldr; back to basics QUALITY conTrol would get the product 5 stars. MIght be an isolated incident, not sure

I usually wear a normal width, but ordered these in wide. I'm glad I did as the wide width is still too narrow making them very tight and snug. They look great though and hopefully will loosen up as I wear them.

My shoe size is 9.5 EEE. I have an older pair of Sperry Boat shoes sized at 9.5 W which I love and are soooo comfy. The pair I just purchased are sized 9.5 EW and are uncomfortably tight. Total disappointment!

These are fine shoes, but not sure how they can justify using the terms 'authentic' and 'original'. I doubt the original shoe had a plastic foam inner sole. My old pair had a nice leather inner sole that wore and aged nicely to my foot. Don't see the foam lasting as long and wearing in as nicely. Use of terms 'authentic' and 'original' is totally bogus! and tell me some of those colors were used way back. The words have no meaning here.

I had them for less than a month trying to keep them in great condition AND THE stitching came apart great look BAD QUALITY

I have been buying Sperry boat shoes for many years (20+). They had always had amazing durability and comfort. The last two pairs I purchased showed a marked drop in build quality. The rivets popped out from sides on both pairs and the soles separated from the shoes on both pairs in under a year. These just aren't products I can recommend anymore.

Two things that caused me to rate this a 3 and not higher: (a) thought that the shoe should have more support built into the shoe than it does: (b) wore the shoe with a pair of socks when I first received the shoes and they were completely stained with the amaretto color - nice color by the way - when I took them off that evening; wouldn't have thought this would happen, haven't worn them again with socks, and not sure how to treat the shoes now to stop the problem.

I have been a long time lover of Sperry's however I bought a pair a few months ago and after only a month or two of normal wear the leather inside the shoes ripped open at the heel. The leather has been increasingly been getting ripped open and increasingly uncomfortable until I no longer could wear the shoes anymore. They did look good and I liked the style but the quality was not what I expect from Sperry

Somewhere along the way y'all forgot that these shoes are not worn with socks. Hence you have used a last that is sock oriented in what you call Medium width. It fit really slopily. I own two other pairs which don't have this problem. I am really disappointed that someone has changed the last for Medium. I have been a topsider customer for near about 40 years and this is the second time that the shoe did not meet my size criteria. I hope you can tighten up the Medium last in the future.

Ordered a couple of sizes in the wide width and both were still too narrow by the toes. Had to return both pairs.

Liked the style but they were less supportive than the pair I was replacing. Exchanged them at a local company store for Gold ASV 2-Eye Boat Shoe in the same size. Very satisfied with the new shoes.
