I have had several pairs of these over the years and have always liked them I need a wide and the most recent pair I ordered a 10.5 wide They do not fit as well as my prior pairs I kept them and have been using a shoe strecher to make them a bit wider. I tired on an 11 in a store and they were too narrow I often have to buy a half size larger to get a shoe I like brecasue so few are manufactured in wide widths I am extremly disappointed and will no longer purchase this model

I bought a pair of shoe and needed them by Wednesday and I bought them on late Friday night Saturday morning. The regular shipping showed 5-10 days so I payed for the 3 day shipping. I did not get confirmation until Tuesday that the shoes shipped and I did not get them until Thursday. If you say 3 day shipping and you charge for it, it should be 3 day shipping not 4. The shoes should have gone out Monday and I would have had them when I needed them.

I bought the "Original Boat Shoe" in 13 W size which is my normal size. The shoe was both too short and too narrow. I could not even get it on my foot. I am very disappointed with the current version of this shoe. I have had many pairs in the past.

Everytime I come to your website and look for shoes, I find a great selection and am always interested in buying but I am always disapointed because my selection never is offered in extra wide. I need extra wide and unless I am the only person in the world that requires extra width it puzzles me why they are not offered. I know I am not the only one. As a matter of fact I know a lot of guys that wear extra wide shoes.

I would love to see the shoe but the package never made it to my home. Sperry is not following up. I will go elsewhere for shoes.

I was expecting the same quality and durability like my original sperries 25 years ago. I bought a pair of this original boat shoes 14 months ago and now the rubber sole starts to brittle and big cracks appeared crosswise along it's sole and the upper leather deformed easily even i just wear it occasionally only for mall strolling and when driving . are they the same company that made the original sperry boat shoes 25 years ago ? the quality is not the same as it use to be .

There are ridges inside the shoes on the soles that run across my heels and make the shoes unbearable to wear. They are beyond painful and they ridges get worse the more I wear them, not better. Why would you design a shoe like that? Also, they are supposed to be non-slip, but the soles are rock hard and very slippery. I feel like I'm going to slip and hurt myself.

I have had these shoes for about a month now nad they still hurt everytime i put them on. I have them on everyday for about 6-8 hours each time, so they should be broke in and comfortable by now but there not. Also they are falling apart on the inside already. The insert type pad in the shoe is peeling up and irritates my foot, so i mess with it witch im sure will make it worse. Deffinatly the worst shoes i have ever bought for, and way over priced for what you get.

Luv this shoe, have worn this on and off for 30+ years since college. Great shoe with shorts, pants, anywhere anytime. Well I have a pair that are only 1 1/2 years old--and only wear during the summer---and the soles are cracking severely. I was shocked--I have worn previous siders, day and night---in the lake, sailing , in the snow etc--- I would have to literally "wear them out". Never a quality issue. These are shot. Maybe I'm delusional and unrealistic, but only two summers and completely cracked seems poor quality--but maybe that's just as long as they last. Aside---have a pair of the white suede, thicker sole, these may last longer.

I've purchased these shoes in the past and was very satisfied. However, the last pair, purchased within the last year, was not the same quality of materials. The sole was extremely slippery on all surfaces.

I've purchased many pairs of the "Authentic Orignal Boat Shoe" over the past several years and never had any issues, however the last pair I purchased I was very disappointed. The sole was extremely slippery on all surfaces and after a year the sole actually cracked across the bottom.Very poor quality.

Be careful ordering online. Mine came scuffed up and scratched. I feel like they dump defective shoes on online customers and hope they'll be too lazy to return them.

I purchased this particular top sider in a local West Marine retail store in the spring of 2011. What I found unusual is the ribbed sole. The color is an off white not the clear white I expected, and the rubber composition is dense and hard to the touch providing an extremely slick surface both to feel and to walk upon. This particular shoe has turned out to be highly unsafe as I have slipped and fallen more than once notwithstanding the ground or floor surface. I will attempt to have Sperry examine my pair to prevent others from going or staying in circulation. I am doubtful of success, however. .

I will probably throw these shoes away. I wore them around the house and liked the look of them. However, once I went outside, I realized that the bottom of the shoe was way too thin. I feel every little thing that I walk on. In addition, since the soles are so thin, it's just not comfortable if you need to walk any distance.

I ordered a pair of the oatmeal colored ones for my boyfriend. When they came in they already had multiple scuff marks on both shoes and when put side by side the tops of each shoe did not match in color. One of the shoes was darker than the other.

My wife and I ordered shoes on line as an anniversary gift to each other. We own a large power boat and thought these shoes would be great on and off the boat. They shipped quickly, in time for us to enjoy them the next weekend on the boat. Unfortunately, my shoes were way too narrow to be comfortable. I tried stretching them out and wore them for about a week, however even if they do stretch to be comfortable enough to wear, the leather insert came unglued after just 2 wearings and the athletic shoe insert that was under the leather insert came unglued after another day or two. They look like the Top-Siders of old, but I believe that ship has sailed.

I've been trying to buy a new pair of AO's, but someone at Sperry has decided that it's OK if the footbed ends in a hard, elevated ridge, cutting across the bottom of your foot from left-to-right. Well, it's not OK... it's noticeably uncomfortable. I always bought Sperry AO topsiders because they're comfortable, but there's nothing comfortable about that. Maybe they all aren't being made like that, but all of the ones I've tried-on lately are. I highly recommend checking this out in any pair you're interested in, before buying them.

Sperry, why did you change the color of Sahara. It was a beautiful medium brown, and now it is light brown/tan. Why was this change made? PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK - other people are telling me this too it's not just me

I expected the usual no problem attitude I expect of Sperry shoes. The shoe just doesn't fit! I believe this shoe was mis-sized. I expected the quality I usually find when I purchase Sperry shoes from a shoe store! Unfortunately I must return them! I am somewhat apprehensive about requesting a replacement!

The tanning solution or dye used in the manufacture of the shoes stained a pair of socks I put on before putting on the shoes for a couple of hours as I walked around the house to get the feel of them. The staining is so severe that after laundering the socks the stains will not come out. I'm glad I had the socks on. I have never (8+ pairs of Top-Siders over 30 years of boating/sailing) experienced this. Someone needs to tighten-up on quality control or warn customers of this potential problem (I'd opt for the former). They are on their way back to you. You might note the staining on the shipping shoe trees that I should have noted before putting them on. I am very, very disappointed. REM

The leather bled through to my socks the first day I put them on my feet. They smelled and were greasy. I have been wearing this brand of top sides for over 20 years, and this is the first time I have ever had an issue with them.

Was looking for a classic navy blue boat shoe, but didn't realize from online photo just how wrinkled this leather show is in real life. I much prefer other brands that have done navy boat shoes with smooth leather, though avoid TOP MAN, they are cheaply made.
