Awesome work shoe if you are on your feet all day. I work 8 hours a day standing on hard carpet and these shoes always last the longest before they need to be replaced. Sturdy, comfortable, good looking shoe!

This is the 3rd pair I've purchased since 2006, all from Zappos, averaging 3 years of wear per pair. I work 60 hours a week in a retail environment on concrete floors and couldn't do it without these shoes. They are comfortable from day one. You won't be disappointed!

Love, love, love. I have long been an admirer of the DM style and quality. I've owned similar styles of DMs before, and these have fully lived up to my expectations. They feel sturdy without being too heavy. They are uniquely styled without being ostentatious.

Love these shoes! I have been looking for some black tie-shoes to wear with jeans. I am a female and was hesitant to try these for fear that they would make my feet look big but they don't. No half-sizes available but found that they run a little big so a half size smaller than what I usually take fit well. I didn't need to break them in at all; they were comfortable from the start.

Awesome shoes that took some time to break in but now that they are, they feel great and will probably last quite awhile. Great with jeans and chinos!

This is my third pair of Dr Martens #8053. I use them for work which includes lots of plane travel and time on my feet. They continue to be comfortable and I hope Dr Martens continues to make this style.

These are nice heavy shoes. I replaced the footbed and put in an higher arch insert to make them more comfortable for me.

The fit definitely ran a full size larger. I am usually a women’s 7.5 and I went all the way down to a size 6. I tried these shoes on in a store and compared the sizes before buying them on Zappo’s. I really wish they had half sizes because I am true half size. One shoe felt great but the other shoe caused a really bad blister on my heel because it is just too small for that foot. I purchased pads for the heel to maybe hopefully help. If you have one foot slightly larger than another you will probably run into this problem with all Doc Marten’s. However, I absolutely love the material and the style of this shoe. The material is stiff as expected. But over time I expect it will wear down. I felt dope walking around on my recent vacation wearing these they are some really cool shoes. I do not regret buying them but I really wish they fit better and had half sizes.

I wear a 10.5, which Docs doesn't make so I got an 11, because my foot is a little wide. They were soooooo long. They seemed way longer than an 11.

I have had many pairs of Dr Martens and they all have been great but I'm a little disappointed in these. Others say there is no break in...wrong. After two weeks of wearing these 5 days a week for 8 hours a day, they still hurt my feet and squeak like a mother. Everyone in my office jokes that they know when I'm coming b/c the can hear my shoes. Guess that's what happens when you have a shoe now made in China. Bummer with these.

Awful shoe, been trying to send it back but Zappos is not cooperating. Wasted my money

Love this shoe. Have had a pair of Doc Ms from 10 years ago and just bought a new pair for work. Love the Airware soles, which make walking a breeze. Fits great like my older pair. Feels great too. Am going to buy another pair to have for back up so after 10 years can still have this exact kind.

I’ve had these 6 years. I’ve work them traveling all around the world, literally. I’ve got thousands of hours in them. They still look and feel great. I bought the classic tan harvest. Low profile, goes with everything, from ripped jeans to khakis. I have since purchased the black pair, and I never wear them. I’m in my mid 50’s and I can’t quite pull them off. But I love the brown pair.

My 15 year old daughter loves these shoes! She wears a size 8 in sneakers. The size 8 in these shoes were too big, so we sized down to a 7 and they fit great! The shoes arrived quickly and the exchange was easy!

I had tried the 1461 in the same leather in size 11. I usually wear an 11-11.5. I had to size up to the 12. This is the first morning wearing them, (and they will need some break in time) but the fit does feel good. If you stand a lot and are on the heavier side these will be great wearing shoes. (Known from past experience)

These are very substantial shoes, from the leather to the soles! Classicly styled, I anticipate them being in my footwear arsenal for many years.
