The shoes are comfortable except for the inside part on top that crosses over the top of the foot. I have a high instep and the top of the shoe cuts into my foot. My feet tend to be slightly wide; however, the medium width on KEEN shoes always work for me. I had to return these due to the top design of the shoe.

I really like these boots! At first, they were a little hard to put on and felt heavy. But they break in quickly and are very comfortable for my wide feet. They look great with straight pants tucked in or peeking out under bootcut pants. I followed the advice of others and ordered a half size down, which was just right.

Frye’s rock! I've been waiting to get these boots for sometime. My friend lives by Frye and I've heard they last forever. They are well-made, sturdy and look great. They didn't have my size (8), so I tried the 8 1/2 which works since you're gonna wear thicker socks with boots anyway. The heel did slip out a bit when I walk, but my friend says this happens to her too with her Fryes so figured it was normal. They're super comfy and I wear them with jeans, dresses, you name it. Definitely happy with my new boots!

Fabulous Boots! Although I don't think these boots are made for walking - until they're broken in, I LOVE them! I get lots of compliments on them. Now I need to wear short pants so everyone can see the details on the harness!

The best boots overall - These boots are one of my favorite purchases; I love them so much I want them in all the other colors. They are super comfortable, no break in period needed and we know how rare that is! I sized down 1/2 a size and they fit perfect. They were a bit heavy and took some getting used to in that aspect; however I have never owned heavy boots, so either way I was going to have to get used to the weight.

Awesome boots - I love these boots. They are very comfortable, slightly large but I like them that way. The black looks great with jeans, and even dresses to look funky - with my boho style clothes (no country-girl here).

Finally! I'm Frye-d! Been wanting these forever, and they arrived living up to the legend. Amazing quality, style, class and comfort with an attitude that makes you feel almost invincible! Even my cat was impressed. Paired with Zappos off-the-charts customer service (ordered at 3pm, here next morning!) this was actually a 10-star deal. Life is short, get a pair of Frye's from Zappos!

Perfect - As usual with Zappos these boots arrived very promptly. They are my second pair of Fryes and I love them. The leather is of excellent quality and the colors beautifully rich. This style has a heel a half inch lower than my other Fryes, but they look great with the same pairs of jeans. I usually wear a size 7, but with Fryes I go up to size 7.5.

When you want the best; Frye - Made in the USA - Top quality boots. I ordered mine in chestnut and the color is an absolutely beautiful dark brown with a reddish tint. I didn't order mine a half size smaller because I plan to wear them with heavy socks. They were a bit snug in the toe area at first, but after the first wear, they're perfectly comfortable. This is my first pair of Frye boots and I already anticipate being a life-long customer. I tried on a pair of boots made by a well-known American motorcycle company. The boots were an exact copy of the Frye Belted Harness style. They were half the price of the Frye boots, but there was no comparison in the quality - - the Frye boots were hands-down superior. The "copy" was made in China. I don't make a lot of money, but I will gladly pay more for high-quality, American made products I know will stand the test of time and I can be proud of owning.

All I could hope for - These boots are very comfortable. They are excellent quality, worth the price.

Finally, a comfortable western boot - I love how these boots look and feel. I had to get used to my heel lifting when I walk, but now I don't even think about it. I have very difficult feet to please as I am lacking in the padding department and have a surplus of arch - so if I can wear these, anyone can!

Love Frye boots - Great boot. This is my second pair...fit is true to size as was my first Frye Harness. However, there is a break in period as with all 'cowboy' boots. The heel will slip until it breaks in. I wear a 7 to a 7 1/2 and a 7 is great. Thanks Zappos! Ordered on a Thursday at 4:30pm, my boots were at my door at 11am next morning! Incredible!

Built and looks like a $350.00+ boot! Worth the money! Only for Zappos would I submit a review for my latest purchase when asked to do so via email - the customer service you provide is EXEMPLARY, hence my devotion! I bought this boot in the brown color, and it is AWESOME! What a well constructed boot - Vibram soles, stacked heel, good leather, solid, serious hardware...I have purchased many a boot in the $300 and above range, and quality-wise - this is better than most all of them! Very comfortable to wear, the leather looks very slightly distressed, and I love it! This is a boot that never goes out of style and you'll be able to pull it out of your closet in 10 years -'cause they're made so well, they'll still be around!! Just buy them at least a half size larger than what you usually wear - they run a bit on the small side, and you'll be happy!

Love These Boots! I am a boot girl and have wanted these boots for so long and finally bought them! I went with what the other reviewers said, and ordered a half size down, but had to return them to get my original size. (The smaller size actually slipped in the heel more than the bigger size.) They fit great, they're very comfortable, they're east to get on and off, and best of all they look fabulous! I absolutely love Zappos! Thank You!

Great Boot - Love this boot!! The more I wear them the better they feel. I was a little unsure of the fit since my heel kept rising when I walked, but then realized that is just how the boots are until you get them conformed to your feet. Great Looking and fun to wear!

A boot that goes with everything! I've always wanted a pair of Fryes. These boots fit the bill. They're comfortable and go with everything, from jeans to skirts. I suggest that you buy a 1/2 size smaller because the heel does slip in these boots. Other than that they are very comfortable from the moment you put them on.

Where have they been all of my life!? These boots make me feel like I can conquer anything. There's nothing like a great pair of boots to put you on top of the world every day. No blisters ever, no breaking in needed. Very well constructed. I followed what other reviews said about going a half size down and they fit beautifully. Usually wear an 8 1/2, but ordered an 8. Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em.

Love 'Em!! I LOVE these boots! VERY comfortable right from the start. I wear an 8.5 - 9 but definitely needed a size 8 in these. The Zappos service is the best I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I can't say enough good things about these boots and Zappos!

Great boots - super cute and comfy! I got these boots in the chestnut, and they are my new favorite shoes. The leather is beautiful, actually a little more reddish than it looks in the photos. Quality is great, and they are very comfortable as well. Best of all, they are the perfect blend of cowboy and biker - a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll.

I purchased these boots for my daughter and she loves them. They are of high quality and comfortable. I plan on purchasing another pair. These boots do run a size larger so order one size down.

Great looking boot! Rich leather! Love these boots! They are comfortable and great looking. Other Frye boots I've owned take awhile to break in, but these are great right out of the box. The only thing I don't like is that the little belt flap on the harness will not lay flat.

Love these boots - I absolutely love these boots. I normally wear a size 12 (and I am a true 12) but the size 11 fit me beautifully. Not only do they look great, they feel great so you can wear them for hours and be completely comfortable!

Hip and comfortable - These boots are really comfortable...as someone else said, like sneakers. They are very hip - 70's and classics that will never go out of style. The leather is softer than on the regular harness boots. I got the chestnut, but the color is really more of a burgundy. They are beautiful boots and I expect that they will last a long time. Zappos service is unsurpassed.

Bad Girl Chic - I ordered these in Black, and WOW! TOUGH CHIC! They made me look like the tough girl in town; however, I don't fit that look, so it was a little funny looking on me... I ordered a 6 1/2 and I needed a 6 for sure. They are big. I didn't keep them because of the "BAD GIRL FACTOR" not working for me... but I did have them in black which made it even more so... I may order them again in a different color and a smaller size. They were beautiful and very, very, very well made. I have other Frye boots and love the superior quality. Zappos superior quality service is the reason I keep coming back to this site and ordering all my shoes!
