Excellent boots! They ran 1/2 size small for me, too. Other posts stated this, so I ordered a size 6; normal size is 6 1/2. Really like the brown, variegated color rather than flat black. Zappos is excellent to work with, best customer service!

First of all I need to say that Zappos shipping is lightning fast! Every time I order from them it gets here 24 hours later. Awesome and amazing all at the same time! As for the Frye boots, I did need to exchange them a couple times to get the right fit for me. Started with 7.5, which is 1/2 size smaller, and they were very sloppy on my foot so I tried the 7 and ended up with a 6.5. Probably should have stuck with the 7, the 6.5 is a bit snug through the width, but I figure with wear they will stretch and be a very comfy boot. I love them and wear them all the time now. Thanks Zappos for making shopping so easy!

These are by far the best looking harness boots out there! Classy, sexy and rugged all in one! On fit, I feel like they run a little big. I took a 1/2 size smaller than my usual size. If you have any Lucchese cowboy boots, order the same size that you wear in Lucchese. I have a narrow foot and heel so the heel slips a little, but they look so good I just deal with it.

These boots are GORGEOUS! The picture does not the chestnut color justice, the detail is just amazing in person. I wear a size 9 1/2 and after reading the reviews I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly. I love how they look with skirts and I can tuck my jeans into them as well.

Awesome boots. I get compliments on them everywhere I go. As a runner, I have "athletic" calves and these fit me great. They look awesome with skinny jeans, skirts, dresses and pants and are comfortable with socks and even bare feet.

Overall, great boot but as with most handmade shoes, the fit varies significantly from pair to pair. Compared to other Fryes, the heel cup is very loose (will pull up when walking). I ordered 1/2 size smaller than normal but still may need some type of insert to help with fit. The leather is beautiful and I regularly get compliments. The sole is great for extra traction compared to other riding boots.

I have had a difficult time trying to determine the correct size. I first ordered a size 7, those felt on the small side. Returned for a size 7.5 and they felt too sloppy (and long) on my feet. So now I'm going back to a size 7 again. I would like to extend a huge "thank you" to Zappos for their awesome customer service and patience with me while I get my sizes straight. I feel bad having to keep sending them back for different sizes, but for the price I want them to be right. So if you're on the fence about sizes... Ladies, the fit in my opinion should feel like a firm hand shake around ball of foot area and you should be able to wiggle your toes. The boots should slip some in the heels and that is completely normal with any cowboy type boot. Zappos, I apologize again for having to had keep returning back and forth. I know once I receive the size 7's back they will be perfect. Thanks again!

Excellent quality leather work. I also have the Campus boot, which is also of similar quality. The Harness boot is a little more masculine than I was looking for, but I tried another Frye boot and was not impressed by the quality leather, or the fit. Those went back; the Harness is a keeper.

After owning a pair of these boots for six years, I feel compelled to write and tell you how much I love them. I have worn these daily for much of the past six years, and they are still going strong. Do not balk at the price - you will get your money's worth here. Great with jeans, great with skirts, and when I'm trying to mix it up a little, I even wear them to work. Best shoes ever.

Magnificent boots! I've always longed for a pair of Frye boots, and finally decided on the belted harness in Chestnut. These boots are gorgeous! The leather is soft and supple right out of the box, with beautiful color variation and quality in every detail. I ordered them Monday evening and am wearing them on Thursday; thanks Zappos! I know I'll be wearing these constantly and with everything; they are the best. Even my husband, a real cowboy with definite opinions about boots, complimented their looks and quality! They do feel a half size larger than marked, but that works perfectly for wearing with nice cozy hiking socks.

FABULOUS!! I ordered these boots in 8.5 chestnut color, fantastic; I had them at my door in 5 days. I do wish I had gone a full size smaller however. They look great with everything and I have had nothing but compliments from my girlfriends to my brothers. It took me 30 minutes on my elliptical machine to break them in. I will order them in black very soon.

Love these boots - I was really excited about getting these boots and I got REALLY excited when Zappos e-mailed me the day after I bought them saying they gave me free priority shipping. Def. worth the extra money- favorite boots ever!

Great Boots! I love my Frye boots. They are great looking...they do run big I ordered a 1/2 size smaller & they fit nicely except the heel slips a very little like most Frye boots. Perfect with a pair of jeans...and I have been wearing them in the snow - keeping my feet warm & dry.

GREAT boots - Love these, my first pair of Fryes. I have the brown pair, beautiful variation in color. I ordered a 1/2 size down, they fit great and are surprisingly quiet. The detail on the brown boots is much more noticeable than on the black pair (I ordered both, but sent the black pair back - the color was too flat). Love them, would recommend this style as it is more unique. A bit more rugged, but still classy.

Recently purchased the Belted Harness 12R, very happy with my purchase! I was familiar with the exceptional quality of Frye boots and already had the Campus boot. I like the Harness much better, softer, more pliable leather, conforms nicely to your foot. The Campus is stiffer leather, but any Frye boot is worth the investment! I normally wear a 8.5-9 size, ordered an 8, but it was still too big, now have a 7.5 and it fits perfect. I read a lot of the comments before purchase and find them helpful. I conclude that if your foot is normal to wide, stick with your size or 1/2 size down, if your foot is more on the narrow side, you probably have to go down a full size. Zappos gives exceptional customer service and I will remain a faithful customer. In times like these, their service is unheard of (smart)!

Great comfortable easy boot - This has a wide heel space inside the boot, but true to size.

LOVE them! As with any boots, they get more comfortable as you wear them. Once I broke them in, I can walk all day in these and my feet are fine. I usually wear an 8-8.5 and I have these in a 7.5 and they fit perfectly. I have wide feet, so they were a little tight across the top of my foot until I'd worn them a few times, but now they're great!

Perfect - I'm usually 7 1/2 and ordered a 7. Fits perfectly. The footbed of the shoe is actually very soft and cushioned. They've got some real personality. I'd pay double for this shoe! I'll probably get this style in every color.

Sweet boots! Love these boots! I ordered my normal size and at first I thought they were too small. I really had to work to get my foot in the boot. Once they are on my feet, they fit perfectly! Getting them on and off requires a little work.
