I bought these for my girlfriend for Christmas and they fit differently. The right boot was smaller. Yes, we checked to see if her feet are different sizes, which is common. this wasn't the case. We wanted to buy another pair of 9's but sold out. Great product, just disappointed in not being able to keep them.

First, let me say I LOVE Frye. I was really excited to order these. They are beautiful. When they got here though, there's a noticeable difference in the leather from one boot to the other. (I don't expect that to be perfect, I understand hide.) However, they are quite different. I ordered my size, and for me my left foot is a little bigger than the right. However, my left foot fit perfectly, but the right boot is super tight. Also, theres something in the boot sewing, that doesn't permit me to slide my foot in in a regular way. The front stitching stops my foot as a strange angle. So, I've been a little bummed & not given feedback because I've been debating how to handle this. I don't expect that this is a normal situation...it's just what happened here.

I absolutely loved these shoes when I bought them, but then over time (within 2 years) the interior lining in one of the shoes tore apart from the heel. I took them to the cobbler and they are not repairable, he said the entire shoe would have to be remade. It's very disappointing that these gorgeous shoes do not hold up structurally while the exterior leather is in perfect condition and still looks like the day I bought them! I wish I could salvage them!

I bought these boots about a year ago and for the fact that frye generally has great stuff, I hav run into a lot of issues with these boots. After only 1 season of wear these boots had a huge hole in the sole (something that has never happened to me before). Because of frye's warranty I was able to send them in to be resoled. This process was very smooth. However, I got the boots back and have been wearing them for about 2 months (and not every day or anything) and the sole just completely came off! Considering these were resoled by Frye this was pretty surprising. In addition one of the buttons continuously comes off which I have been unable to make stop. I've written to customer service and am hoping to be able to resolve this.

I bought these boots less than one year ago and they are already totally falling apart. I expected much higher quality and useful life, but the insides of the boots and the soles have made them unwearable. They should have lasted way longer, especially for that price. I love the style and they were very comfortable for the time they lasted, however I would never have spent that much money on a product that was such a let down.

I am a solid size 8 and this boot was at least one size if not 2 sizes too big. It narrow enough that I am not comfortable going down a size. I also ordered the Smoke color, which appeared to be a distressed grey/black in the photo. The boot that arrived was a dark brown.

The color was wrong. The actual boot color did not look anything like the photo you show on your site. I ordered the "Smoke" color, which appeared to be a worn/matt black look. What arrived was a dark brown boot.

These boots are so stiff and heavy they hurt to put on. If I lived 100 years I don’t think I could break them in. I love the look but dang they hurt.

I ordered a size 7 & am usually a 6.5. They were crazy small, I couldn't even fit my feet inside! Bummed.

My father has been buying Frye boots since he was young, so "investing" in my first pair of Frye boots was a highly anticipated event. I am a student and this was way more than I'd ever paid for anything, and I was more than excited to buy these boots for life. Tonight, after only 3 months of owning these boots (and only 2 months of wearing them frequently), the sole fell off. Even worse, it was extremely obvious that it was glued on. The idea of "Frye quality" is antiquated, and frankly, not true anymore. I will NEVER buy another pair again and I will certainly NOT be carrying on this family tradition. I have never been so DISAPPOINTED in a purchase in my entire life.

Too narrow. Sorry but had to return. Tried on same model in a store but she didn't like the color. Fit fine. Sent for the same model. Same size. Different color. Didn't fit. Go figure.

Immediately after I bought these boots, they started developing a waxy residue that has to be buffed off every time I wear them. I took them to a cobbler, and they couldn't do anything. I contacted Frye customer support, and they refused to do anything. It's a cheap product, and terrible service.

If you buy these boots, be prepared to have them re-soled at the Frye repair shop --- and only then hope to wear them for a few months before that's needed again. Now, mine are not under warranty and I'm out of luck. The soles get holes in them very easily and completely detach from the boot itself. It's a shame, because they are beautiful and comfortable. I wear mine regularly, but do not wear them when it is wet out. I clean and condition them and try to keep them looking nice, but the soles are only okay if you wear them inside, on carpet I guess! Good luck.

I bought a pair of these less than one month ago and similar to one of the reviews, the soles are of horrible quality. I've had other boots for over 10 years where I've only had to have the heel replaced while the rest of the soles are intact. But, for these Frye boots, there is already a couple of small divots out of the sole. The sole looks like it is wearing thin towards the stitch already.
