After returning a size 8 1/2, I ordered an 8. Really weird how the left felt perfect but the right boot hurt my foot. Awesome boots but I really feel like something was off with the right boot. I have never had this problem with the many cowboy boots I own.

The boots are the quality I expect from Frye. I have several different boot styles, and I will say this harness style runs narrow and I have narrow feet. The leather is beautiful and I’m sure they will loosen with wear.

I was so excited to get a pair of Frye boots I got in a pair when I was a teenager and still happens to to this day I just had them resoled. I can't wear them anymore because they're the leather started working out but these boots I love them I love them I love them they're really nice fit their little wide I wear an 8 so I'm a true size 8 and I thought they were going to be really big and heavy but they weren't it was kind of a tight squeeze when I first put them on but once I put them on the fit was perfect. I could not wear them with my thick socks though I'm hoping at some point I will be able to once they are completely broke it in.

The fit was good, but I wasn't a fan of the distressed color. I ordered them in a tan brown too, which I like better. Overall the boot looks great, it's just a personal preference on the look.

These boots are beautiful and VERY well made. There is pride in the workmanship and it shows. I typically wear a 6.5 and ordered that size first. WAY too big for me. My feet slipped all over the place. So I ordered a 6. I wore them in the house for several days and even though I adjusted to the heel slippage, the fit still didn't work for me. The wide part of my feet would slide towards the front of the boot and get squished. So sadly, they are getting returned. Now that I know the high quality this brand produces, I will definitely try other styles.

I have lusted after Frye boots for years, but could never bring myself to hand over that much money for a pair of shoes, quality or not. Finally I had the excuse of my wedding that I knew I wanted to wear boots with my dress. Not only were they adorable, but incredibly comfortable for a night of dancing and fun. It was a very cold night in the mountains of VA and they kept my feet so nice and warm. They were a bit tight to get on with my thick wool socks and took some effort, but that probably could have been avoided by breaking them in a little more.

Ordered a 6.5. Wear a 7 in other Frye's, sometimes a 7.5. These are a bit narrow though in the toes and plenty room in the heel. Should have some heel slippage but not so much your sloshing around. They do loosen up after wearing for a while so your toes aren't as crammed. Takes some getting used to but I think it's worth it. I love them. I am obsessed with Frye's.

I love the boots. I have pretty awful feet (bunions, etc) and these boots were really comfy. However, each of the boots had a wrinkle on the leather of the foot bed, which is unacceptable, especially at the high price. Zappos came through and have reordered an exchange pair for me. Thanks Zappos!

Gorgeous color on classic boots. True to size, wish more styles were available in this color.

I bought these awhile ago. They are well crafted and lovely. I did need to take them to a boot maker to stretch the instep a little to facilitate easy on, easy off. The bookmaker said they were really high quality. He doesn't see that often anymore.

These boots were just what I was looking for! They are great quality, the color is as pictured. The fit was a bit snug, but I know they would have stretched a bit with wear. But I had to return, I have arthritis in my hands, and it was a big struggle to get them on. Otherwise would have been a great purchase.

Beautiful boot! Quality craftsmanship. True to size. I wear a 10, ordered a 10. Very slightly snug across widest part of foot (which you want in a leather shoe). Heel "slip" was appropriate and comfortable. I don't believe I would've had a problem. Plenty of toe space. Returning because 1) it looked goofy on me with skinny jeans/leggings (size 8, 5'6", very "average") 2) seemed to force me to walk on the inside of my feet. I have inner knee problems and this put extra pressure on them. Would have had to put a high arch insole to level out my stride 3) EXTREMELY difficult to put on, and I'm not being dramatic!!! I am sure that this would get easier with time, but maybe not. I have another pair of Frye that was the same level of difficulty when I first got them and 5 years later, they are still a little cumbersome to get on and off. Ordered these from Zappos before 2pm and got them the next day by noon!! I ended up getting a pair of women's Durango harness and was pleased as punch straight out of the box. I have 2 other Frye's and love them. These just didn't cut it for me. Looking for a shorter shaft, will try the Veronica short next.

I love my new Melissa's but they sure do run narrow and I have a narrow foot. The leather is gorgeous and they are nice and long on the leg. But do note they will be tight in the box area.

I did like these boots except the soles looked as though they were worn. I also sent them back because I needed a 8.5 instead of a size 8.

I recently bought a second pair of Melissa button boots because I was so happy with my first pair. They go with everything! The more I wear them the more comfortable they are. Just wish they had a little traction on the bottom for wet slippery days.

Bought this boot in Smoke size 8, normally wear 8 in Frye boots. It was too big, especially in the heel. Reordered in 7.5 and the heel was much better, but too tight in the toe. Sadly will be returning the second pair.

These are great boots. And the red (burgundy) color is perfect. I'd been looking for red boots and have never been able to find the right red until now. They are very comfortable and pretty true to size. (I'm 7.5 and ordered 7.5.) There is a bit of heel slip (but not as bad as a different Frye boot I have) which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5.

I love Frye boots; I have three pairs! The quality is superb, and I really like buying American made. (I wish Frye had a larger variety of such products.) I purchased these boots in my regular 6.5, but they were too large and I had to return them.

I purchased these in black after exchanging two different sized Frye boots. (Top notch customer service by the way) I found the Melissa Button after searching for an alternate and was a hit immediately with me with it's simple classic design! I opted for 1/2 size larger than my norm after going back and forth with another Frye boot that I was not crazy about. These do need a breaking in period, for me anyway. I love that they are pull on - and hoping they become like an "old shoe" soon, but also love the "non-slouchy' look. Perfect with leggings, dresses etc. The length of the shaft is I believe 17 inches which was perfect for my 5' 3" is frame and it sits just below my knee. They do rub against my achilles and hope that that will settle after a few wears. This rubbing is the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, it could also be the 1/2 size larger than norm.
