I love these boots. I got them in the chocolate leather and I love it. They look great with leggings and long tops, jeans tucked in or out and with casual skirts and dresses. I feel like a tough girl in these boots. Would wear them everyday if I could. I have the Veronica too and love them too but these are my favorites. The shorter boot is more comfortable and I love the style.

I have major foot issues, bunionectomy gone bad, hammer toes, and spinal surgery. Thanks to Zappos, I have been able to get so many boots but returned them all UNTIL yesterday. My Frye Harness 8Rs came and I put them on. I have never had this happen before.. I wore them to work this morning, worked from my "standing desk" for 12 HOURS. I am extremely happy, can't even describe the feeling! I got 7.5 and I wear that size and it is a perfect fit. Thank you Zappos for letting me try and fail and then succeed. I ordered several pairs of Fryes before I settled on this one. I like that the color is not Black, but a dark grey that goes well with black clothes. The shorter height looks good under jeans; the mid height ones didn't look good over jeans, and why have the extra height under the jeans. Every pair seemed to fit just a little different, so don't give up if you have to order again to see if the next pair fits. I wear an 8 or 8 1/2, usually the bigger size. In these I got an 8.

I purchased these boots for a great price and they have got to be the most comfortable boots ever! Durable, these will last forever! Runs 1/2 size big...purchased size 6...my typical size...could have gone down to 5.5. Nice dark tan leather and super quality and construction!

This is my third pair of Frye Boots and my favorite. I have the Campus Frye, Veronica Slouch and now these and I like these the best. At first they are stiff but break in easily. You can wear them with skinny jeans, boot cut and skirts. I think they they have a tough motorcycle look and I am a school teacher and wear them to work almost every day. They are slightly dangerous on slick sidewalks so be careful. I am 5'4, 135 pounds. Love these boots and well worth the money!

I love these boots! I ordered a half size down as suggested and they're perfect. They took about a week to work them in.. I do have feet on the wider side. They are now my go-to shoes: they're stylish, can be dressed up or down, and I can stand in them all day (I'm a hair dresser). I'm seriously considering buying them in another color! And as always, Zappos is wonderful and quick!

I love these boots. They are comfortable, hip, a nice height and extremely well made. I want five more pair.

The style of these boots is absolutely beautiful, and the quality is outstanding! I ordered half a size down in them and they were still huge. I am torn between going another half size down or even a whole size. I am perplexed as to how these boot would fit true to size on anyone. I definitely recommend ordering at least half a size down for starters. I love everything about Zappos! Their customer service is like no other!

I LOVE THESE BOOTS! They are high quality and fun to wear! I ordered the 8 and I normally wear an 8. The color i perfect, more grey than black...I was comfortable with the first wearing and think they will get more comfortable with age...next boot is the frye engineers!

If you decide, as I did, to drop a significant chunk of change on these boots, be patient. You must heed the advice of other reviewers to tromp around your house for an hour or two at a time, in very thick socks or two pairs, for a couple of days or more in order to break these in. If you try to go straight out and wear them, you will probably not be happy. Also, I recommend ordering 1/2 size down, especially if you have slightly narrow feet, as I do. They will feel snug at first, but should you take my advice and break them in, they will soon fit well. If you buy them too loose, you are likely to get blisters as they slip against your feet. Once broken in, these boots are every bit as wonderful as legend has it. The charcoal grey color is just the right toned-down black to go with everything. Yes, they are heavy, but they are also sturdy and built to last. I anticipate making good use of these come winter. The shaft height is just right to wear with bootcut pants or over skinny jeans. I spent an entire year trying to decide whether to invest in these, and I'm glad I did. If you can find the right fit, I'm sure you won't regret shelling out the cash for these quality boots.

Excellent boots. The charcoal leather is a best case scenario- sumptuous and exactly the depth I had hoped. Very high quality. Comfortable. Timeless. Sturdy. I am generally a size 37/7. In Frye boots I am generally a 36.5/6.5. I these I went to a size 6 and they are just right.

I love these boots! I have a pair in a reddish-brown color that are my favorite. Both pair are true to size and really comfortable.

I got these in charcoal and because I want them to last I also got the weatherproofing conditioner. It did change the color some, made them more matte and now they have less variations too. The left boot and right feel a little different right now but they were comfortable. I had to laugh trying to get them off, though - my husband had to help! I do love the look and I hope to have these many seasons to come!
