I have taken these boots to a shoe shop to be stretched. The right boot is very difficult to. Get on as I have high insteps . Hopefully Zi will soon enjoying wearing them v

I bought these online and made sure to get the extra wide calf but they still were very difficult to get on and I couldn't even get them up without scrunching my leggings. No way they'd fit with jeans! My calves measure 15.5 in. I exchanged these for the Melissa Button with back zipper and I love them. A great alternate if you like this style but have bigger/athletic calves.

This is a cute boot but very stiff and not comfortable, it might need a lot of breaking in!

Very sturdy but found these boots too narrow and too long. I find Frye men's boots fit my foot better.

Definitely not a boot if you're on the shorter side. These were just too tall for me and I am 5'3". The fit was big too, especially around the top of the foot/bottom of shin, of course it may be because they are a slip on.

I was thrilled to find a beautiful, basic style wine-colored boot that I had been looking for for two years. I was so disappointed when they arrived - I have a flexible high arch and because there wasn't a zipper, the pull and tug that was needed to get them on was not worth keeping them. I also felt the ankle area was very boxy looking. Will be sending them back.

The only complaint I have is that these boots run a little big. I needed a half size smaller, but had already worn them a few times.

These boots are absolutely stunning! The shaft height, calf width, foot length, and quality were all perfect. Unfortunately, the toe box is too narrow. My small toes rolled under each other to fit into the boots. I need a wide shoe in this style, but not a wide calf. I also have the Frye Veronica short boot in the same size, and those fit perfectly. Too bad these are going back! :(

These boots are beautiful! Sadly, I have to return them because I have a high instep and cannot pull them on. I need a boot with a zipper. Boo! Love Frye's though.

I wanted so much to love these boots but the fit was just too bad. They were tough to pull on because the ankle/shaft area was so tight, the heel was way too lose and there was a weird lump in the heel area where the tag was. I even tried the lower, clog version and I still could not get the right fit. I finally found and bought a pair of Tony Lama cowboy boots that are tall, easy to pull on, more comfortable, and cheaper than any Fry boots that I have tried. For the price, the fit of the Frye boots just was not worth it.

These are beautiful boots, but they run SO big. Definitely order down 1/2 to a full size (and I wouldn't recommend if you have narrow feet at all). They leg opening is also very wide (and I have big calves, so it was surprising how wide they were!). I love these boots, but they're just so big all around (width & length) that they were too bulky for me.

I was so excited when these boots arrived. After trying them on, the left boot was a great fit the right boot was so tight it hurt within 3 minutes. Go figure, I have never had this problem before and I have over 6 pairs of Frye boots! I am sending them back. Zappos you rock, for letting me constantly order and return. I am on a boot hunt and the saga continues. I think I will reorder. I am a die hard Frye boot lover. :)

This is my second pair of Melissa button boots, I have a current pair that I have had for four years that are amazing. I wanted a new pair in a different color bc I loved them so much. Unfortunately the quality is SO bad now, I have no idea what happened to these! Its like a totally different boot when I compare the two boots, the leather is really not nearly like it used to be. I have 5 pairs of Frye boots and one pair of Frye high tops so I know what the normal quality is like, and this is not it. I am returning these.

Wanted these for a long time. Finally bought and am honestly disappointed. They are very heavy and pull socks down. There is also a weird bump inside that has caused my left foot serious pain. Fry needs to put pictures of boots being worn on the site so you can see how they look on because especially with this pair, it's very different. They are high quality, great leather, the fit isn't right though and they look a bit strange in person.

I bought these in black and within several months they turned white! I emailed Frye tons of pictures since they were still under warranty and received the response that this is normal for leather(which doesn't seem accurate). They've turned completely white several times within this year and each time requires using 3-5 coats of black shoe polish. Like others, I had to get them resoled right after buying. They look good at first (2 months) though!

I bought these for my girlfriend for Christmas and they fit differently. The right boot was smaller. Yes, we checked to see if her feet are different sizes, which is common. this wasn't the case. We wanted to buy another pair of 9's but sold out. Great product, just disappointed in not being able to keep them.

First, let me say I LOVE Frye. I was really excited to order these. They are beautiful. When they got here though, there's a noticeable difference in the leather from one boot to the other. (I don't expect that to be perfect, I understand hide.) However, they are quite different. I ordered my size, and for me my left foot is a little bigger than the right. However, my left foot fit perfectly, but the right boot is super tight. Also, theres something in the boot sewing, that doesn't permit me to slide my foot in in a regular way. The front stitching stops my foot as a strange angle. So, I've been a little bummed & not given feedback because I've been debating how to handle this. I don't expect that this is a normal situation...it's just what happened here.

I absolutely loved these shoes when I bought them, but then over time (within 2 years) the interior lining in one of the shoes tore apart from the heel. I took them to the cobbler and they are not repairable, he said the entire shoe would have to be remade. It's very disappointing that these gorgeous shoes do not hold up structurally while the exterior leather is in perfect condition and still looks like the day I bought them! I wish I could salvage them!

I bought these boots about a year ago and for the fact that frye generally has great stuff, I hav run into a lot of issues with these boots. After only 1 season of wear these boots had a huge hole in the sole (something that has never happened to me before). Because of frye's warranty I was able to send them in to be resoled. This process was very smooth. However, I got the boots back and have been wearing them for about 2 months (and not every day or anything) and the sole just completely came off! Considering these were resoled by Frye this was pretty surprising. In addition one of the buttons continuously comes off which I have been unable to make stop. I've written to customer service and am hoping to be able to resolve this.

I bought these boots less than one year ago and they are already totally falling apart. I expected much higher quality and useful life, but the insides of the boots and the soles have made them unwearable. They should have lasted way longer, especially for that price. I love the style and they were very comfortable for the time they lasted, however I would never have spent that much money on a product that was such a let down.

I am a solid size 8 and this boot was at least one size if not 2 sizes too big. It narrow enough that I am not comfortable going down a size. I also ordered the Smoke color, which appeared to be a distressed grey/black in the photo. The boot that arrived was a dark brown.

The color was wrong. The actual boot color did not look anything like the photo you show on your site. I ordered the "Smoke" color, which appeared to be a worn/matt black look. What arrived was a dark brown boot.

These boots are so stiff and heavy they hurt to put on. If I lived 100 years I don’t think I could break them in. I love the look but dang they hurt.
