I got the first pair and they were too big but soooooooo comfortable. The foot bed was so soft and felt so good. I hated to return them but they were 1/2 size too big. Sent them back and got a replacement pair and although the same shoe, the foot bed was not as soft even though it was labeled "soft". It was not. I wanted the shoes, so I settled for these. I am very disappointed, but I can't return because technically, there is nothing wrong with them. Will have to "make do" with the less comfortable. DIsappointing.

I have a narrow foot and these were really wide near front of feet which with my tiny ankles I looked like a duck! lol Sadly going back.

Not sure if I’m keeping them. I am frustrated that this style only comes in unisex. I have a wide foot, but these feel too wide. I might try the narrow or just give up.

It was so uncomfortable.

For some reason it is impossible to order the Boston style shoe in my size with the normal footbed. It only comes in a "narrow." So I ordered this Soft Footbed style, which claimed to be regular. However, something about adding the soft footbed has made the shoe too narrow. Was looking forward to this shoe as the weather turns cooler. Could we please just have this shoe in the Normal width in the Normal footbed? Thanksyou.

My 1st attempt in Birkenstock’s & was expecting the OMG experience. It was far from it. From the moment I put them on I knew I had made a mistake because the leather was stiffer than expected. In the photos this particular style appears to lay more like a suede, very flexible & soft. It cut into the top of my feet like very stiff & rigid cardboard. I immediately got on laptop to print out return label never wearing them more than 3 minutes. I was very open to all I was told about the footbed & prepared to endure about 2-3 weeks of break in time. No amount of time could soften up the uppers.

I have a very narrow foot and these hurt immediately when putting them on I got narrow because I donahbe a narrow foot but my arch was pinched Very uncomfortable and couldn’t get them off fast enough I prefer the Spenco shoes which have been wonderful with a lovely arch support

First time ordering a Birkenstock...very big and bulky. I may need to try a smaller size, however, the shoe looks awkward.

I do not like the style or the leather color. They’re going back!

Loved this style but my 39 regular was way too full/wide in the toes and way too narrow from the arch to heel. Sadly, they went back.

I so wanted these navy blue suede, historic and sexy while utilitarian (beauty is in the eyes of the befooted) Birkenstocks to be my Fall answer to...well...everything. While I love the style, the pesky side panels under the strap and buckle curled, and would not stay flat as I walked. Perhaps the leather versions or a thicker or sturdier suede could prevent that? I am a lifelong Birkenstock wearer and this little blip in my fit preferences will not change that.

Buy the regular Birkenstock footbed. These are too plush and far less supportive.

I thought for sure these would be a slam dunk. I had a pair years ago that I wore the soles right off of. Maybe it's the soft foot bed but these hurt my feet so bad I couldn't wear them. Wore them around the house to try them out and after a bit my feet hurt and I had to take them off. Tried again the next day and just putting my foot in them made my heels instantly hurt. Sadly had to return.

I've tried a couple of Birkenstock and I really don't get what others are saying about comfort. Even the "soft" footbed is pretty hard. The way people talk you'd think you were going to sink your foot into the shoe equivalent of a Tempurpedic. In the "Boston," the suede strap (that loops through the tongue) rubs against the top of my foot. The suede feels hard from inside. I'm guessing either you have to have coarse hard skin on your feet, or not have worn extremely comfortable shoes, to love these. I couldn't imagine even walking down the shops in them. However I do love the velvet grey color and the style is surprisingly cute, so I was bummed to return them.

Too stiff, the surface of the shoes is pretty rough. Did not look as good as the pictures shown on Zappos website. Not comfortable at all. The shipment was poorly packaged. The shoe box was smashed and broken. Very disappointed with the order.

I have been wearing Birkenstock clogs for years and the new ones are just not the same. The leather is too hard and stiff and shiny. Will just keeping wearing my old comfortable ones until things change.

Not my favorite pair of Birk's. The squeaked badly for the first month of wear. I tried wax, Vaseline and some other stuff before the finally stopped and it was mildly comical. Size, well I have many pairs and always take a size 40 and never had a problem! Next, the cork foot bed quality seems to have diminished. They are made in China and not sure if this has any bearing on this. I am a bit disappointed with the durability of the show. I have had it less than a year, the sole is hardly worn, but the heels, the cork is cracking. I own many pairs of Birks and this type of wear is usually much later than now. overall, Birks are great shoes and once broken in exceptionally comfortable. I will buy more pairs of Birks, but will have to watch the quality and wear and they aren't cheap!

I am really sorry about this order. Not only did the shoes not fit, the shoes were dirty and the container was in tatters. Box was ripped and broken and I believe I was sent used merchandise.
