It must have been over 15 years ago when I owned my last pair of Birkenstocks. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality appears to be just as good (if not better!) than my original pair. The leather material, versus the suede, is a little bit more stiff as you would probably expect; however, the fit was perfect. I appreciate the strap adjustment that allows you to dial in the correct fit. Nice arch support. A very nice "sandal" where the closed toe part upscales the appearance -- You can get away with that "business casual" appearance with this shoe.

Love love these. So comfortable out of the box. I got the brown and the black for this tired teacher's feet, sooo cute. Cute with jeans, got many compliments, I'll be wearing them all Fall. They run a little big but like all other birks. I normally wear a size 5 to 51/2 so got a 35 narrow. Perfect.

Felt very narrow on inside area, had a very painful red line on my left foot after wearing a full day, ordered same size as I do in sandal styles , don’t have issues with sandals. Pretty disappointing was counting on these being good work shoes. Will try to break in further by wearing socks, which I don’t normally, that’s why I bought them to have that same sock less comfort in closed toe

Very happy with the look and feel of these shoes. I had tried some Birkenstock sandals and returned them as the toe box seemed too angled for my feet. This fit much better and are very comfortable. I also like the style much more than I thought I would. They have a slightly elvin vibe and the blue suede is pretty.

I love these Boston shoes...I have horrible feet to fit and these fit just fine. They are as comfortable as bedroom slippers!

I have been wearing this model and cover since 1991. In a world where so much changes and quality varies, the Birkenstock Boston is a comforting island of stability. They're my go-to shoe when there isn't snow on the ground. I chose the taupe color way back when because it can be worn with every color of trouser and even my pale legs look fine (my Birks are almost never worn with socks). If you are reading this to help you decide, let this be the vote that convinces you. Get a pair. Buy them from Zappos. You will not be disappointed.

Returning these because the color (which looks like a dark, rich navy online) is very off. It is lighter, more of a cadet blue, and not nearly as nice or what I was looking for. I listened to reviews and got a narrow instead of my normal medium for Birkenstocks, and that was definitely the way to go.

My 5th pair of birk clogs. I'm a nurse and they wear so nicely with my scrubs. I wear them for comfort and my feet thank me for it. As always fast customer service from Zappos! I recommend you often!

I always wear an 8 in shoes. Normal width feet. Because these were unisex, I ordered a narow width, in a 39. They are perfection. I am wearing them for professional shoes as a nurse practitioner that works 24 hour shifts. Definately worth the investment. You pay for what you get. I had been wearing Dansko's which I still like, but they got to heavy to wear for thar long of a period. These are a great alternative.

Love these! My usual 39 fits well and the “narrow” width fits like a medium (which regular Birk fans know). Soft footbed is nice too.

I usually wear a 40 in Birkenstock, and originally ordered that size. They were a bit large, so I ordered a 30 and they are a perfect fit. Very happy with these; the soft footbed is comfortable and easy to break in. The day after they arrived I wore them all day and had no problems. Highly recommend.

I have worn Birks for many years! I must say that the soft footbed is a really major improvement! I would not order any more without the soft footbed! I must say that all Birks are great and comfortable to wear after they are broken in. I had a moment of indecision about the size of these Boston Birkenstocks. I have always worn a 38 in the many sandals I have worn. I was worried that these might not fit as I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 in any shoe. I am pretty sure these will work and wanted to wear with socks, they fit to my foot exactly, so will have to wait until they are worn more to get to wear with thin socks. I even like the color (Forest Green) which are really closer to a dark brown.

Absolutely love this shoes. Perfect for being on your feet long hours. Soles are so soft and squishy!!!

Really love love them. Comfy right out of box. Barefoot or socks look awesome. My left foot came with a pinky nail sized glue spot. If you read the actual Birkenstock website, they said they do NOT use glue. I guess I'm confused. So I called Zappos and bamb, new shoes sent out right away. I'm sure this pair will be perfect.

Sadly these stretched out so much i can’t wear them. They’re too loose now . For $140 was hoping for a shoe of longevity. Disappointed.

Suddenly I've started having achy feet and toes...my Birkenstock sandals were my ONLY comfy shoes! So I bought these...which are GREAT and they have a soft footbed. The podiatrist likes them for me because of the arch support and deep heelcup. I am very thankful for Birkenstocks!

Perfect shoes if the weren't so narrow.I have narrow birkis and these are a lot more narrow.Other than that they are very comfortable.unfortunately back they go cause with my flat feet,they are not comfortable.Thank you wonderful zappos.

I usually order a size 40 standard width in Birks, but was afraid that this particular style would be too wide, so I ordered the same size, but narrow width. It's a bit snug, so when I order the black ones I'll order a size up. The narrow width seems to make to shoe shorter.

I had a pair of these years ago. These fit the same as my old ones. Just great shoes.

Easy to wear and break in. Very comfortable!

They are ugly but that is the aesthetic I was going for. I am taking off stars because even the narrow version is far too wide. I do not see "Narrow" indicated on the shoe so maybe I was sent a regular version. Also the leather under the strap gets caught under my arch and rubs when I walk. I will keep because they might work with thick wool socks for the winter, but otherwise am going back to Naot sandals for my narrow feet.

Even though I'm returning these, I was actually pleased with the overall appearance. Apparently the multiple foot surgeries I've had are making it almost impossible to find a comfortable shoe, so I'll keep looking. While the 38N seems a little large for my 7.5 foot, the shoe is perhaps just more than my poor, old feet can handle. It's not easy accepting the fact that I truly need old lady shoes!
