The quality of Birkenstocksoft Boston soft footbed is going downhill lately, at least the ones I have purchased from Zappos. Because of a problem with a foot I broke many years ago, these are the only shoes I can wear comfortably. In fact, I have to buy new ones as soon as the footbed begins to flatten, because the pain starts, and only a new pair will alleviate it. I buy at least 8 pair of thes a year, because they're most comfortable when new. Tragically I just returned a new pair; because putting them on was instant pain, and with my hand, I could feel how much flatter and less supportive the insole is. Further, the suede on top falls flat when you're foot isn't in them. What happened to the quality leather which allowed you to slip-on these clogs, without reaching down to hold them open so you can stick your foot in? If these clogs go unreliable on me, it is a major issue for me, so it gives me no pleasure to post a negative review of the only brand/style of shoes I can wear. I just hope Zappos and/or Birkenstock do something about it. People are buying these for comfort, not style. If the comfort and standards are second rate, you notice.

I wear a 40 in a Birk sandal and therefore the41 clog fit well. I take a narrow, so I could move the buckle one notch tighter. I was also advised to wear a thicker sock and this helped a lot.

Review from a guy, in the South... It took me 3 tries to get the Boston's I needed. Originally I ordered the 43 Regular, which is the size of my Arizona's, in the oiled leather. I have very wide feet and the 43 put pressure on the outside of my foot which was unpleasant. Next I ordered the Amalfi Leather (Oiled Leather was out of stock at the time) in the 44 Regular. I now had both orders so I walked around the house with each size on a foot. Almost gone was the pressure with the slight additional width (3-4 mm) and they were not too long so they fit ok and I can wear light socks in the 44 on cold days. However, the Amalfi Leather was noticeably stiffer as compared to the Oiled Leather. When I checked online the Oiled Leather 44 Regular was again in stock so I ordered them and they should work fine. I also considered the Suede which I believe is softer than the Oiled Leather, but Suede is just not my style. This confirmed my experience when buying my Arizona's locally last year when I began buying better shoes due to an occurrence of Plantar Fasciitis. For reference I wear a 10.5-2E in my HOKA "Tennis" Shoes. My Birkenstock size is between a 43 & 44 and b/c it's a sandal, 43 Regular is fine in the Arizona and I also have the 43 Regular in the Arizona EVA, (instead of flip-flops) and now my Plantar Fasciitis is gone.

I live in Birkenstocks!! I love the soft foot bed, but I also want fun. Solution, buy a pair of taupe and dye them your favorite color, for me these are going to be purple! The best of both worlds. Happy Feet!!!

Very comfortable from day 1. I love these shoes.

I’m typically a 7.5W and all the Birkenstock Arizona pairs that I own are size 37R and fit me perfectly. I went with 38R for this pair because these are going to be my cold weather house shoes and I will be wearing them with socks more often than not. I’m glad I sized up because these are slightly snug with medium thickness socks on. I’m sure with time they will stretch a little bit and be just fine. I do think they are marginally long for me, but I’m pretty sure my usual size would’ve felt much too tight.

I don’t usually write reviews for items I purchase, but I thought I might try to help others. I wear a size 10 in most women’s shoes. I have a size 39, 40, and a 41 in different styles of Birks. I ordered the 40 and 41 in the Birkenstock Boston trying to decide which was better. I have to decided to go with the 40. I felt like the 41 was a bit large and I was having to fight to keep them on and I knew they would probably end up stretching a bit. So, the 40 it is! My heel is right at the end with a pair of socks, but I feel like it is the better fit. I hope this helps and I hope they are as comfortable as my other Birks!

I was looking for a comfortable winter shoe as I love the birk sandal I had purchased this summer. These are very comfortable and they look great with jeans. The color is very pretty but I would say these are more casual looking. I already have big feet so they do look a bit clunky. The comfort and color make it worth it though.

Love the soft footbed in these. Debating on sizing up as I planned to wear socks, but went with my usual size and the fit is perfect even with socks.

I have the original footbed in the same style and now prefer the soft footbed. It’s made a big difference as far as my heel pain. This type is also easier to break in. Wasn’t sure about the size but I can wear the same size in both footbed. The soft one seems small at first but after a day or two it is perfect and so comfortable. I will go with the soft footbed from now on. Love these shoes.

I got these in my regular Birkenstock size/width which is 37N. I think I may have been able to go with the regular/wide width - they feel more narrow in the heel than the Arizona style. Length wise they're good. Forest is a really pretty green/grey neutral IRL. I got them because I have a bunion on my left foot and it was becoming painful again now that I haven't been wearing my Birkenstock Arizona's for a few months since it's fall/winter... so I got these to help with the pain. My Dr said Birks are the best thing I can do for my foot to prevent having to have surgery. If you have problematic feet, Birkenstocks are a life saver. I only gave 2 stars for style because let's not lie to ourselves... these are ugly haha.... although they are almost so ugly that they're kinda cute. My boyfriend isn't TOO embarrassed walking with me.

I ordered the size 35 in regular width and I had to return them for a size 35 narrow. There is a huge difference in the length of the footbed between the regular and narrow shoe. Unless your foot is very wide I would definitely suggest the narrow.

Love the feel and nerdy look! Based on other reviews, I expected these shoes to be sized larger, but found them to be a little on the small side. Returning for a half size bigger - will be wearing them with warm socks afterall. Zappos service is the best!!!

I love birkenstocks. I have an average to slightly wide foot, but prefer to get the narrow widths. They ARE clunky ugly shoes, so being a bit narrower makes them look less so, but they fit perfectly. I also prefer the soft beds, but if I can't get them in my size, the standard bed is fine.

I love these Birkenstock but I returned this pair because of the color. I ordered the Port which on my computer looks like a beautiful dark burgundy but really it was a light peachy-rust color, soles are brown. If you like fall colors this ones for you.

I love Birks and these don't disappoint.

I normally buy regular width in Birkenstock footwear but because the color I wanted wasn't available in regular width, I decided to try the narrow. This is the second time I have done this and I was happy with the fit both times. The narrow fit even better but I just wouldn't wear very thick socks with the narrow. Love Birkenstock footwear!

My orthotist suggested wearing Birkenstocks around the house for arch support. I usually wear or 7 to 7 and 1/2 wide. A 38 regular was too large. 37 is just right for length and generous in width. The arch support is excellent and my knees feel great around the house.

I usually wear a size 6 and ordered the 36(which is 5-5.5 in Birkenstock) ,also the width is regular. These are so comfortable and I’ve gotten tons of compliments too! I wish they had the new colors in the regular width,the narrow is not the same as the regular,it is smaller and much more narrow,I compared the narrow to the regular and they are much smaller. I highly recommend these,I have a torn planter plate and these do not hurt my feet, great arch support too!

Great shoes. Very comfortable with awesome support. I ordered narrow based on the other reviews that said the regular was wide. I wish I would have ordered regular width. I don’t like the narrow width. By the time I was sure about the width, I’d already worn them all day ay work and can’t send back. Otherwise great purchase.

These are perfect- I am usually a 40, and can wear them comfortably with winter socks, or with no socks. I love to cook and do so often, so I bought these to wear in the house while prepping, cooking, cleaning up - they are perfect! The arch support is great, and I no longer feel fatigue in my feet or legs after a few hours in the kitchen.

I got the 39 Narrow, and normally wear an 8-8.5 regular width. I was worried these were a bit snug because the inside hit my inner sole with a bit of a sharp edge, but once I adjusted the buckle to the loosest option, these fit like a glove. I'm wearing them with thin wool socks, and probably won't be going barefoot in them.
