You can see it was worn. Scuffed in the front. Had high expectations.

I just purchased 2 pairs of this style in suede--mocha and black. They are very comfortable. I've worn Birkenstock clogs and sandals for 20 years, both regular and softbed. I wear shoe size 8 1/2 narrow. Size 39 narrow fits me perfectly in every pair I own. I like this style as the top half of the shoe fits closer to the foot and looks good....more attractive than other clog styles I have that are wider in that area. I also like the adjustable buckle strap ensuring a good fit. I like the suede leather as I think it is a bit more comfortable. I have no problems wearing a regular footbed and I also like the softfoot bed. Highly recommend.

I was initially hesitant about this shoe but read the reviews and ordered a 'narrow'. It fits fine and the soft footbed isn't mushy.

This was my second try with Birkenstock. The first time, they were just too hard. I thought the soft footbed would help with the break-in period. But the footbed just isn't shaped like my foot enough to be comfortable. And they felt too wide (I ordered narrow for my medium width foot). I am returning them. The length was fine; I used the Zappos size conversion information. I liked the look and feel of the oiled leather.

Birks always run large to me. I usually take an 8, but when I buy Birkenstock shoes, I have go down a size.

Runs incredibly wide and long- if you have narrow little pixie feet like I do (male) order on the smaller side. I wear 9 D/M in most athletic shoes (Nike, Vans) and some 8 (Red Wing Heritage, CT70’s) and ended up returning the 9-9.5 (42 euro) for the 8-8.5 (41) which fits perfectly, if still a little wide. Other than that, they’re really comfy. Never had Birkenstock’s before, so I’m still getting used to them, but it’s pretty much all I’ve been wearing once I’m home from work.

Absolutely love these Birkenstock slippers. I have hardwood floors in my apartment and use these indoors only. I bring them with me if I'm visiting my folks' house as they have hardwood too. I can wear these all day and my feet are comfortable - they don't feel fatigued. Totally recommend for indoors AND outdoors.

These were just what I was looking for: something appropriate for fall/winter that's comfortable that allowed me to slip on/off quickly. I wouldn't walk around with them in icy weather, but just going outside the little I do on a typical work day, pairing these with wool socks are great.

I love the comfort of Birkenstock’s. I usually get the narrow width. These seem a little wide for the usual narrow. I’ll need to punch another hole in the strap.

I have been wearing Birks for 48 years, different styles but with a few tried and true favs like the BOSTON and have been VERY HAPPY with them This pair is my newest "winter" acquisition, and they feel a bit smaller and narrower than the usual "regulars" I get for my wide feet, summertime foot swelling, and high instep I am still in the break in period (in my house wearing) so I can't say if they will live up to all the others' comfort and molding to my foot I've bought over the years, but I'm hoping they will, as with my back and foot issues, Birks are the ONLY shoes I wear now.

I followed the advice of several and ordered the narrow and a size down from my regular size (8-8.5, for the record and I feel I have a normal width foot). The narrow arrived and I could barely get my foot in and there was zero room for socks. I returned those and ordered the size 38 in a regular width and a 39 in regular width. What I discovered, oddly, was that both shoes seemed to be identical in fit. The regular width in the 38 added more room to the back of the shoe, as well as, more room overall, as compared to the narrow 38. I plan to wear these in the winter in the Midwest so I will have socks, and thick ones at that. I wore them to work today for the first time and I didn’t feel they needed the usual break-in period. They were plenty comfortable. So my advice is order the narrow if you do not plan to wear socks and a size down. I returned the 39, obviously. I’m hoping to have happy feet again and some relief from plantar fasciitis.

Tried five other brand of similar style of shoe. This was the only shoe that I could wear for my Plantar fasciitis. Very comfortable right out of the box. True to size. The soft footbed technology is great.

I wanted these to wear around the house as slippers for cold weather. Loved the fit of but they weren't as warm as I wanted them to be. Returning them for the ones with the lining. After reading the reviews I think they will be my answer. I'll know in a few days!

Love Birkenstock’s I’ve had several pair and I still have a pair that I’ve had for 17 years, well made great shoes.

I wear a 7.5 and the 38 fit perfect. It took 2 weeks of wearing a few hours a day to break them in. These were my first pair so I wasn’t sure if I made a mistake. After the 2 weeks I started to notice how many of my other shoes have awful arch support.

Great shoes. Would buy again. Soft-sole makes for easier break-in. Fit is good. I wear an 11-12 in most shoes. The EU 44 fits fine with average to medium-thick socks. Runs a bit wider than average. I have them strapped down all the way. A note on color: Amalfi brown is like espresso-bean brown. And shiny. Not a problem for me, but you may be pickier.

I'm a size 10 is most sneakers, but a 9.5 in most boots/dress shoes. I started out with a 42, which seemed a little too snug, then returned for a 43. Much better. Since I'm awkwardly in between sizes, they're maybe a little larger than usual but feel so much more comfortable. If in doubt, buy your actual size.

These brands that don’t make half sizes are so frustrating. I am a true 11 1/2. I bought the size made for size is 11 to 11 1/2. I have never in my life been able to wear a 12. The Shoe was way, way too small.

Just too ugly. Had to return.
