Fit poorly

The Boston is my favorite Birkenstock style. I have owned several pairs over the past 50 years and love them.

I wanted to write for those who are unsure which size to get. I intended on wearing mine with socks inside the house because I’m starting to have metatarsal issues. I wear a 7 in sandles and heels but get my running shoes in an 8 or 8.5 for toe and swelling room. I was unsure if I should size up because socks could create a tightness issue. I ordered a 38 narrow and they feel great even with thin ankle socks. I left the socks on for the pic...foot fits perfectly!

My son loves these! He had the sandals but now he can’t stop wearing these.

I truly like them. They are comfortable and could be used for all sorts of occasions

These shoes are so comfortable and easy to dress up or down. Highly recommended!

Since trying the Boston (soft footbed) style they are my new 'go to' shoes. They are vert comfortable and the toe bar feels great so I alternate between several pairs. Unfortunately, I haven't had luck finding any Birk sandals that feel quite as good. I had a bunionectomy and osteotomy on my left and have a bunion on my right. Hard finding shoes that fit and feel good. I'm so thankful for Zappos!

I have a dozen pairs of Birkenstocks in a range of models. My current favorite are soft footbed oiled leather Bostons. The soft footbed Bostons are comfortable in July with no socks and in January with thick wool socks. The plush soft footbed requires you to move up one size if you wear thick socks. If you are new to Birks, wear your soft footbed Bostons only two or three hours a day for a couple of weeks so that your feet can adjust to the added arch support. Oiled leather Bostons are rain resistant (the suede version is NOT). I treat them with Red Wing Boot Oil when the leather looks a bit dry. With regular cleaning and oiling the oiled leather Bostons will last ten or fifteen years...just replace the soles when needed.

I really wanted to love these. I kept trying to... but the soft footbed isn't as comfortable for me as the original. I don't know what it is, maybe the support is lacking from what I am used to. I'm very sad to return them.

LOVE Birkenstocks, unfortunately I have been waiting for these for so long in a narrow that I thought I'd take the chance and purchase a regular width...WELLLLL that was a mistake! Even being able to tighten the buckle, they were slipping off. So I have to wait..its been like FOREVER! Thank you as always Zappos for being and EXCELLENT Source for me!

I had a pair of these 25 years ago and loved them. So glad they offer the narrow width now because my original pair were VERY wide. I ordered the narrow and even in narrow, these shoes run wide (I normally wear a B width fwiw). Super comfortable. Not my favorite Birkenstock style but I love them all the same.

I wear a size 40 in most shoes, but in Birks I am a 39. For reference, I am on the smaller end of a US 9. These are exactly what I needed and so comfortable for my high arch. I will say that the suede seems a bit different than my other Birks (less soft and darker?) but hopefully they will wear well.

I usually don’t spend this much on a pair of shoes but thought I’d give them a try . I wear Birk sandals so I live the support .. these are super soft and supportive! Love how they feel . Hoping they stay this padded

I wanted to like these. I tried them in the house a few separate times, but ultimately, these had to be returned. Too stiff for me, the bottom kept slipping on wood surface, and width was uncomfortable near my big toes.

The style is exactly what i thought, unfortunately after tightening the buckle, the tightness still felt more loose than i wanted.

Fits well. I would prefer a little more snug if a fit, but am able to wear socks with them, so I’m happy.

For the average foot this shoe is probably great; my wife loves her Birkenstock’s. I, however, have very wide feet so the “medium” fit is too narrow and the shoe got even narrower at the heel; I also have almost no arch so the arch support was not comfortable. I had great hopes but it’s just not right for me.

Fit perfectly! The buckle definitely helps secure the perfect fit.

Too shiny leather

I love these. I can’t wait to dress them up!!
