I wear a size 6 in Merrel and most shoes, with the exception of sandals when sometimes I take a 5.5. I tried the 36 regular and 36 narrow and 37 narrow to find my fit. This is my first pair of Birks and the 36 narrow fit best. I wanted a supportive indoor shoe, but I think I'll end up wearing them out. The Narrow fit also has a more feminine style so they are cute... not that I think Birk has the most attractive style but Function over Fashion is sometimes necessary as I was told to make sure my shoes have more arch support. These are perfect. Give them a try and thanks to Zappos for their quick shipping and awesome return policies.

Like my new Birks! Suede is a bit complicated to care. Use some waterproofing spray before wearing.

I wear a 39 M in the Arizona Suede (have for years) and these were no different for me. I actually tried the Narrow based on some reviews, and I had to exchange for my normal Medium width. Very comfy. I wear both with and without socks.

love the look of these Birks. I downsized to 36 from 37 because I purchased med width instead of narrow width. Narrow wasn’t available. Sizing down worked for me.

after years of wearing my Birkenstock Arizona’s I finally caved in and bought a pair of Boston’s. I have worn them almost every day since and am looking to get a pair in another color. they are incredibly comfortable and give relief to my plantada fasciitis.

these felt a little bit large at first, but after adjusting the strap, they feel much better. I’d say stay true to size. style is great, they look cool with shorts.

I am a true female 8.5 shoe. 24.5 cm. I ordered the 39 narrow in the suede type of this shoe. it fit perfectly. I am so glad that I followed the advice of other people on here- unless you have a super wide foot, order the narrow. I’m wondering if because these shoes are unisex, that “narrow” fits women better, and “wide” is more geared towards a better fit for men. I don’t know if that’s true, it’s just seems that way.

The sizing of Birkenstock has really caused me to back off the brand. The narrow is to narrow and the new med/wide is to wide. I have worn Birks for years but the new widths don’t fit me like my old Birks.

I wear 12 in Vans, 11.5 in most Adidas so I took a 12 (45) in these. I’ve got a somewhat narrower foot so I went that route as well. I have almost flare feet so a minimum of support helps me so I can’t really speak on the side. I’ve had other Birks and these were the first time I’ve ever tried the soft footbed over the original… I wished I’d tried them before. Straight out of the box they were incredibly comfortable so much so that I’ve not bothered to wear anything else other than my work shoes. If you’re on the fence about the footbed please take my advice and try the soft footbed. In the past there seemed to be a period of break in and I’ve not noticed that with these. Looks- well, they’re Birkenstock and with that being said beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. If you’ve made it this far then you’re interested- quit sticking your toe in the pool and take the plunge.

I got the first pair and they were too big but soooooooo comfortable. The foot bed was so soft and felt so good. I hated to return them but they were 1/2 size too big. Sent them back and got a replacement pair and although the same shoe, the foot bed was not as soft even though it was labeled "soft". It was not. I wanted the shoes, so I settled for these. I am very disappointed, but I can't return because technically, there is nothing wrong with them. Will have to "make do" with the less comfortable. DIsappointing.

These are great! I've only had them a couple of weeks, but they are comfortable and look nice. They fit me well, with my high arches & insteps, and long, narrow feet. It's nice to be able to wear shoes that are supportive and comfortable without my orthotics. I wear a women's 12.5, a size 42 regular Birkenstock sandal, & this 43 narrow clog is the same width as the 42 regular sandal, & just that little bit long enough to accomodate my toes comfortably in a closed shoe.

These shoes tend to run a little big if you go with the regular/wide width. I usually wear an 8 1/2 -9. I had to size down and they fit like a glove.

Ilove this German made brand...i am returning as I felt they were a 1/2 size too small...but i will be waiting for the next size up to arrive at Zappos..& I will then be ordering this model again!

I love my Birks! Style is always open to interpretation, but I would recommend everyone have at least one pair of Birks in their closet.

Loved them, but returned for smaller size

true to regular birkenstock sizing - the soft footbed is a subtle difference, but definitely cozier and feel more “broken-in” out of the box than the traditional footbed. if you’re a woman, their unisex “narrow width” is closer to what most would consider “regular” women’s width - i wouldn’t get “regular” width unless your feet are wide.

The regular footbed in narrow is impossible to find. I’m trying the soft bed. I much prefer the original. The added layer of foam makes your foot higher and slip out more easily. It’s also not leaving enough room to wear the clog with socks. I don’t know why Birkenstock keeps making these soft beds, it goes against the whole idea of the company‘s original shoe. I am not sure if I’m keeping this yet, they are gorgeous, however. Love the rose buckle on the Habana color.

Love them! I bought these after I scoured the Internet (including eBay) for the boiled wool version and I'm loving these. I still wish Birk would bring back the gray boiled wool Bostons.

Yikes, these are HUGE!! I even ordered a full size down & they were waaay too long/wide. And, not the Birkies I remember from about 15 years ago when I last wore them. These are so stiff & hard, even this "softbed" style. Feels like walking on a piece of wood. But, gotta say, the whole footbed shape felt good under the heel/arch/toes. My old Bs were flexible when new, which is why I could wear them. Not anymore I guess.
