Light as Air- There is no breaking in with these shoes, just so soft and comfortable. I did apply a light coat of black polish to protect the leather. The style is understated and classic.

San Mateo- The widest part of the shoe comes closer to being the shape of my foot than any shoe I have been able to find. I have some type of nerve damage. I can wear it all day long except on concrete floors I do not have enough "cushion". I have developed "corns" on the bottom of my feet but have started wearing toe covers and that has helped. I don't know if it is because of the "bubble" insole or that my foot slides in the shoe. I would like this shoe in a little "dressier" style. The only shoe I can wear on concrete floors is a Reef flip flop with rubber bottom. I think it is a beach shoe.

Great Shoe- This is my second pair of these shoes so obviously I love them. I particularly like the fact that they are very light weight, soft and comfortable. I have a very long, narrow foot and these shoes fit me very well.

Wonderful - Great looking shoe plus comfortable and is true to size ordered.

Heavenly - I wore them on a transatlantic flight...perfect! Just wonderful. They are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in years.

Teacher's friend - I bought these shoes for my daughter who is a teacher. Finally she can stand all day without her feet hurting. Like walking on a cloud.

Soft walk San Mateo- I recommend this shoe to everyone. It is very comfortable and a pleasure to wear. I have received many compliments on the look of the shoe. It runs true to size and is worth every cent. I love it!!!!

Very comfy shoe. I have searched long and hard for a shoe to fit my foot that is at least somewhat fashionable. I finally found it! I have a very wide foot, high instep, arthritis in my feet and lymphedema so finding something to fit is no easy task. I'm holding off on the orthopedic shoes as long as I can. This shoe felt comfortable right away even though I'm on my feet most of the day and is nice looking to boot. Sure wish they were made in Navy. Zappos, you are great!

San Mateo Review- This is a very comfortable shoe. Through Zappos, I have finally been able to find shoes in a narrow size.

Extremely comfortable shoe - can't work in anything else!

San Mateo for a great look and feel - I have 6 pairs of these and I love the feel and comfort and look of these shoes. They look good with anything, and at the end of the day your feet are not hot and tired. I wish they came in more colors. I like the all leather better than the nubuck/leather, but that may be because I am hard on my shoes.

Very comfy - I love these shoes. They are really comfortable. I have a long, narrow foot (11 AA) and have a hard time finding shoes. They look better than in the picture. They don't make my feet look huge. I feel that they are slightly wide and they don't have a whole lot of arch support, but I am really happy with them. I will buy more SoftWalks in the future. Zappos is great.

I love them! These shoes are a perfect fit, feel great and look great. I have very hard to fit feet and am always on the lookout for a comfortable shoe that doesn't look like my grandmother's shoes. I couldn't be happier!

I want more! Love these shoes so much I am ordering more. These were comfortable even after marching through miles of airports. The padded insole was great. I have corns between my toes, and if the shoes squeeze at all, they really hurt. Needed no break in at all. And young co-workers commented on how cute they were.

Easy, Stylish, great alternative to flip flops - I am one of those people who wear flip flops for everything, but of course that's not always appropriate. I've been searching for a more business like shoe and found it. This shoe is very stylish, super comfortable and goes with everything. Very happy with the purchase.

Squishy but solid comfort - This is a very comfortable shoe. I haven't figured out the lining, but it reminds me of bubble wrap. It has a texture, but I like it. The shoe top is long enough to keep on the foot easily and it rises up a teensy bit in the back, which also helps to keep this on. I have the suede/leather combo, and it looks very cool.

The Perfect Shoe - Elegantly Casual is what I call my new slide ons...perfect for wearing with black pants.

Like slippers! Comfortable, though do not support as well as some others. However, when you need a soft shoe this will no nicely.

Like walking on air - I love Zappos shoes and these are one of the very best. The quality, workmanship, comfort and fit are all outstanding. These are my first pair of SoftWalks, and I will be buying many more. They truly are great! Just slightly different in style to be unique, yet very today.

Fabulous! I own two pairs of the San Mateos and I love them so much. I broke my foot a few months ago and have been having pain when wearing my other mule-type shoes. I stumbled across these and I'm hooked! I also have plantar fasciitis in my other foot and when I wear these shoes it's as if both of my feet are good as new. And not only are they comfortable, they're really cute on - I highly recommend them!

These shoes feel more comfortable than bedroom slippers. This is the third pair of SoftWalk shoes that I have bought in the last year. I have arthritis but I hate to wear ugly shoes! I can be as comfortable in these as I am in running shoes and they are still young looking. The leather looks as if it is very high quality. The first SoftWalks that I bought still look new after many wearings.

Great shoes - These are comfortable shoes, although the appearance could be much more suitable for a high class job. But they are worth the comfort

The softwalk line of shoes are without doubt the most comfortable I have ever worn. I have heel spurs and they are very painful when I wear any other shoes. I can walk as much as I need to with these one. This is a very casual style, but they have more dressy/professional ones available

Soft Walk's - SoftWalk's are the best shoes to buy if you have problems with your feet or legs. I bought a pair for my Mother-inlaw for her birthday, she is 75 and has problems with her ankles swelling. The Softwalk's have been wonderful for her. I also have a pair and love them.

My Favorite Shoe! I bought a pair of Soft Walks on a trip to Texas. I tried to find another pair because they were so comfortable. I couldn't find any. At Zappos.com I found a similar Soft Walk shoe and ordered it. It is so comfortable and looks beautiful as well. I will NEVER be without Soft Walk Mateo shoes ever again! I'm 59 years old and can't stand long periods of time. These shoes help me stay on my feet longer! Keep up the good work!
