I am a teacher and I bought this shoe because it is very comfortable and looks sharp. The fit is true to size. I would highly recommend this shoe.

Just got the shoes... Just received and tried on the shoes. They are as attractive as a mule can be. The leather is soft and they don't have the "bulky" look that I've found other mules to have. The leather is "shinier" that I thought it would be but looks good. The shoe is true to size...I wear and ordered a size 8.5M and the fit is perfect. Initially, they are comfortable but when walking in them, the "bubble" in the middle of the shoe keeps me from being able to slide my foot all the way forward in the shoe. Consequently, as I walk, my foot moves to the back of the shoe making it awkward to walk. Maybe this will change as I wear the shoe more. Also, they are "noisy" when walking... Another thing that I am hoping will change with wear.

Very forgiving shoe - My feet are two different sizes and it is hard to find shoes that fit. These shoes are great though. I bought them in the correct size for my smaller foot and they fit both feet perfectly and the arches line up with both, which is often a big problem. They are comfortable, too!

Looks Better than expected - I was afraid the front toe would look a little funny but was determined to get a comfortable mule that did not look like a slipper...the shoe in fact is not only comfortable but it looks young and attractive. My wide foot does not even look as big as most mules make them look! Great w/ Jeans and slacks!!

Very Comfortable Shoe - Loved this shoe the moment I tried it on. It is extremely comfortable. I love it with jeans.

Winner for high arches - This shoe is out-of-the box comfortable, which surprised me. SoftWalk, and their parent, both tend to use a last with too low an instep/arch area for me. But the little "v" slit, the relatively low rise of the vamp, and the lack of a lining and top-line binding all combine with the cushy egg-crate footbed to make a mule/clog even more comfortable than my Munro America ones. The look is just a little short of sleek - what's with that toe cap?! But otherwise, it does look good - the outer part isn't lined or padded, so it doesn't look bulky. Good service and no separate delivery/handling charge - very attractive.

Looks good, feels good - The shoes I ordered are great. They have cushion and really wear well. I would encourage those who have not purchased Zappos before to give them a try.

Real comfort - I really love this shoe. It is one of the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned. I especially like the lining and footbed which seems to have little bubbles of air to pamper my feet. The shoe also hugs my foot which makes it feel snug and comfortable.

Spectacular shoe!!! I absolutely LOVE this shoe!! So far, I have purchased 4 pair and will purchase more if my size becomes available in the colors I want. This shoe is sized well and is a perfect fit for narrow feet - and if you have narrow feet, you know how difficult it is to find shoes that fit. The leather is soft and the style is very comfortable. My advice is to get it while you can!

Comfy...but - They're comfortable, but I feel like I'm wearing grandma shoes. I'll wear them to work, but that's it. Good quality though.

Heavenly - This shoe has amazing comfort and I have received many compliments on the style of this shoe. I love the cushion (crate-like) which seems to become more softer the more I walk in them. I am ordering another pair.

This shoe looks great and feels even better - The shoe is rich looking, well made, and very comfortable.

SoftWalk San Mateo - I am very pleased with the shoes I ordered for my Mother. When she tried them on she said, "I love the feel of the sole cushion and the comfort, feels like walking on air". Great shoe...comfortable, look good! I like this shoe so much; I've purchased it in 3 colors. It is wonderful - very comfortable, nice-looking.

Most comfortable shoe ever - A friend purchased this as a "trade show" shoe, so several of us followed suit. I mistakenly ordered a regular width first, which I exchanged for a wide width - perfect. Not a "high fashion" shoe by any means, but with slacks it is the perfect choice for all-day walking.

Comfy, polished looks - This is my second pair of San Mateos. Wore out the first pair from the inside. Was introduced to this comfy shoe and style with a light nubuck pair, which showed stains easily (but did get them on sale). This time paid the extra money and sprung for polished, black leather and they look a bit dressier, but still look great worn with jeans or capris. The thing to know about this shoe and SoftWalk's, is that you have to wear them around the house for a week to break in the "whoosh" factor. Once the foam has molded to your foot, you don't get the "whoosh" noise, which can be rather entertaining to small children and husbands. Would love to see this style offered in white leather for spring fashions.

I am on my feet all day. I was having discomfort in my feet. These shoes are very comfortable and my feet do not hurt. They also make my foot look narrow-I wear EE.

Classy Comfort - Looks dressy for such a comfortable shoe, Soft leather upper, yet plenty of support. Sizing is right on target with other styles I wear. I plan to wear this shoe year round.

San Mateo - The SoftWalk San Mateo is another favorite of mine. Extremely comfortable and stylish, this shoe is made for walking and comfort. I own this shoe in many other colors and highly recommend it to anyone who values comfort and style.

Very Comfortable Mules - I bought these for a trip to Europe. They are so very comfortable. I gave them 5 stars in the looks department because they look exactly like their picture. However, they are not the most stylish shoes I've ever seen.

I can finally walk in comfort AND style again. With my long and wide feet, I had given up on finding a shoe that felt good and looked stylish. I now have this shoe in black and in brown and they look great with my slacks. They run very true to size in length and width.

A nice comfortable shoe, can be casual or dressy and that's what I liked about it.

The Best Comfort - This is one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I have owned. The leather is of good quality. The shoe fits like a glove and feels like you are walking on a cloud. I require a wide size shoe and one works well for my foot because of its flexibility. I highly recommend this shoe!

Make my feet look longer and narrower - I wear a 12AA. These shoes fit perfectly but I only tried them on. I did not wear them out. The footbed is comfy and sturdy, but slick. Not sure if I could wear nylon socks with them without sliding around. I sent them back because they make my foot look even longer and narrower than they are. Not appealing to me.
