Love these shoes!
I bought these in plum/goldenrod and love the colors, which I would describe as wine/mango. These are a full size larger than I normally wear; I tried a half-size larger and my toes still touched the front. The bungee lacing system really helps them fit perfectly and doesn't come undone like tie laces. I wore them hiking the first weekend and they needed no break-in period. The soft lining means no rubbing or blisters even under my ankle where I usually have those problems. My only compliant is that walking through a creek left pebbles and sediment stuck under my feet without an easy way to dislodge. Having to stop and take off the shoes was less convenient than wearing good sandals. Also, beware those who need arch support. My feet are almost flat and were still tired and achy at the end of the day wearing these. As always, Zappos made this transaction “easy peasy”!

Lovable, kinda cute and comfortable -
The Keens Newport sandal is indeed a great walking shoe. I wore them while walking up the steep steps on the cobble stone streets while vacationing in central Puerta Vallerta. They provided good support and cushioned my feet against the bumpy terrain.
I have good arches, but was surprised that the arch support did not sustain my arches as I had anticipated. At the end of the day, my feet felt tired and my arches ached a bit.
Still, I would recommend them. Not five stars, but four!
Love Zappos. I'm a shoe girl and Zappos is it for me. I've been spreading the word!

Keen Newport H2 -
I haven't really had an opportunity to wear these for an extended period of time. I purchased them for a vacation we're going on in a few weeks. When I have worn them, though only briefly, they've been quite comfortable and they'll be exactly what I need.

Great Sandal -
These were my introduction to my Keene obsession. I got these to wear at Disney world. They didn’t disappoint. They are the perfect blend of sandal and sneaker. My only complaint is the rubber bottom on the inside, although good for river hopping, makes your feet a bit hot. The curve over toe is fantastic for those times you want to kick a ball or rock (something that hurts in traditional sandals)

Keen's Newport -
These shoes have great traction. They are comfortable except that they do irritate one of my toes.

Great support -
This sandal is very supportive of the foot especially on the arch. It sits firmly on the foot and gives a good grip. The only down side is that the sole material can get a little warm under foot.

Good for outdoors but use more limited than advert. suggests -
They're good shoes but when feet sweaty/wet foot tends to slide around in bottom. Also, my second littlest toe gets caught in the space between the ribs and it hurts! I can solve the problems by wearing socks with the Keens but who wants to do that? You should try on these shoes somewhere before buying them to make sure they're good for your foot.

Walking shoes -
I was so excited to get these shoes but was quite disappointed when I put them on. The fit was nice; it was comfortable, but it made my feet look like Ronald McDonald! The toes were curved and wide looking. I already am somewhat flat-footed and these just didn't suit me. Too bad coz it was really very comfortable for walking. I've seen them on others and it didn't look bad. Maybe it's just me and my feet! I still recommend this as an excellent walking shoe.

Keen Newport H2 -
I ordered a 9.5 and couldn't get my foot into the shoe because I have a high instep. The size 10 is comfortable for short walks but for all day wear I have a problem. The strap that comes closest to my little toe on both the left and right shoe rubs on my toe. I could never wear these on a long walk but also like them enough to not give them up. I think the 9.5 would be the right size for me if I were able to get my foot into the shoe.
I just ordered another pair of Keen's, the Yogui and can't wait to receive them!

Goldilocks of Keen Newports -
I love Keens! I have six pairs in different styles. I know that most have run a half size smaller than marked. However with the Newports, I am a little stumped. It might be the design but when I ordered my half size larger pair they were too small. So I ordered a full size larger pair and they are too big. I suggest going to a shoe store, find the right fit then coming home and ordering them from Zappos. Each style of Keen has been different so the sizing will probably be different. I will keep buying the shoe because they are a great shoe. I am waiting for them to come out with a white shoe for medical personnel to wear and possibly a dressier shoe for professionals to wear. The possibilities are endless for Keen. A person should really buy stock.

Buy a half-size larger in this shoe!
A bit difficult to put on as it seems small for its marked size, and just a little cramped in the toe. Once on, it is comfy and great for walking.

I've tried them all -
I've been on a search for a water-friendly sandal/shoe. So far this has been the best and the most comfortable. And, thanks to Zappos and their free shipping (both ways), I've tried...Salomon Tech Amphib, Columbia Titanium Interchange, Teva Rydecker Pro, Teva Pretty Rugged, Chaco Z/1 Terreno, Quark Tide, Columbia Altamont Thong, Avia A00660, J-41 Rebirth Mesh, J-41 Vanessa, J-41 Coast Line and Mephisto Allrounder. Keen's Newport H2 was the best by far - the only ones I've tried on that I've instantly felt, "Aahhh, this finally feels great!" Thanks Zappos! Also, thanks to the other reviewers who suggested ordering a 1/2 size larger -- it's true!

I love the look of this shoe! It is a little hard to get on and the heel feels a little tight but once they are broken in, they are in incredibly comfortable shoe! I love them! I love the fact that Zappos has free shipping and especially free return shipping as this allowed me to find out what my true "Keen" shoe size is. I have purchased two different pairs of Keens from Zappos and will continue to add to my shoe collection of Keens and other shoes from Zappos. Thank you for your great service!

Keen Keens -
I'm a size 8-1/2 and I ordered 9 because of all the reviews recommending ordering half a size larger and they were right. Even the 9 was a little snug but I kept them because I figured once I wore them a few times they'd loosen a bit and they did. Overall, I really like the shoe but I would have liked it to have more arch support to relieve the discomfort I get from plantar fasciitis and my spurs. It's a good shoe to walk around the neighborhood in but I haven't yet tried any long walks but hoping they will hold up. Good resistance in wet conditions which is important since I live in Seattle. Zappos made ordering easy and fun!

So Pleased ....
At first, I wasn't sure about the look of the bulky toe, but I love these shoes. The more you wear them the more comfortable they get. They went on a vacation to the Mayan Riviera where they went from wave jumping in the coral-streaked ocean floor one day to climbing a Mayan ruin the next! Still looked great on the third day! Order a 1/2 size larger!

Great Beach shoe!
I wore this shoe while swimming in the ocean, climbing rocks and just sightseeing. Perfect for each activity! They rubbed slightly on the side of my foot, but not enough to blister. Overall a really good beach/active shoe.

Keen Newport H2s -
All was great with this shoe, except that after 3-4 days of constantly being wet (river rafting), they tended to stretch a bit and not be as snug. Otherwise, a great shoe!

This shoe has been quite good overall - the only negative - it can get fairly uncomfortable wearing this show in really warm weather!

These shoes are very comfortable. The only downside is, whatever the material the sole is made from is pretty hot. My feet get sweaty in these.

Great if you need a protective water shoe -
1)Materials: Fair- Relatively rough polyester upper. Sole had a cheap (?recycled) plastic smell when first taken out of the box – (it dissipated in 24 hours). Reminded me of a cheap sneaker. For the price, I expected a bit more.
2)Style- (In my humble opinion) somewhat modern sporty “go-anywhere” look, but at some angles, with the big toe bumper, can appear a little like clown-shoes. I much prefer the look of a traditional leather fisherman’s sandal for wear in the city.
3)Fit- Fair. Both my fiancée and I found we fell between sizes offered (we both bought our usual shoe size, but we would have preferred a ¼ size larger). Sounds picky, but a half size larger was too big, and with our usual size, our big toes almost touched the end. Also, although the pull-string cord tie is fast, convenient and allows for some adjustment, nothing beats a good pair of laces for a precise custom fit. The shoes can “shift” a tiny bit when walking across steep slopes.
4)Comfort- my fiancée and I both had to break them in before they were acceptably comfortable to wear without socks (in the process, we both got a blister on our small toe- could the rubber bumper be a bit tight at the lateral edge?). However, after a couple of days of light hiking, and getting them wet while river rafting, they became MUCH more comfortable. With their polyester uppers, neoprene lining and plastic/rubber soles, they are much “hotter” than I thought they would be.
5)Traction- Superb! Really outstanding. They were great on concrete, gravel, rock, scree slopes, boat decks and river bed (underwater). They are really superb on wet, slippery surfaces. I own several pairs of expensive shoes from famous companies that are nowhere as good as these on wet slippery surfaces.
6)Performance- We bought them to wear on a river rafting trip on the Colorado river. The trip involved plenty of wading in the river (without being able to see the bottom) and light hiking on sharp rocks and gravel (we even had to walk on rocks heated to over 100 degrees by underground hot springs). The shoes performed wonderfully. We had sure-footed traction and great protection. We never worried about cutting our feet or stubbing our toes on the rough ground (even when we couldn’t see the river bed we were walking on). Two minor quibbles- the uppers didn’t dry as quickly as we thought. It took several hours for the uppers to dry despite the hot sun and an hour ride home in an open Jeep. Also, when walking in the river, gravel could get “underfoot” (between your sole and the shoe’s sole). Although the big open "slots" let small stones roll out pretty easily, it could still be annoying at times. (doing the old "shake foot" move...)
7)Buying from Zappos- Superb experience. We have not been particularly happy buying shoes from other online companies in the past. So, for this river trip, we went to a local high-quality outdoor supply company (REI) to buy them. Unfortunately, REI didn’t have the colors we wanted in stock (black and navy blue) and wouldn’t get them in time for our trip. Usually we are not too concerned about color for outdoor gear, but these shoes cost 90 bucks so we were picky! We were running out of time, and I called Zappos. The telephone salesperson was helpful and knowledgeable, and the shoes arrived in time exactly when they said they would. The shoes, new and fresh out of the box, were in much better shape than the ones we were offered at REI (which must have been tried on a thousand times). Zappos was great and we wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again.
Bottom Line- Great shoe if you really need sturdy protection for your feet/toes and plan to be in and out of the water with them. Too expensive and somewhat uncomfortable if you plan to use them for casual wear. Too crude for city wear if you want to pair them with khakis and a button shirt. They don't fit well enough for moderate to extended hiking on dry land.

Great for hiking or running all over town -
I took these on vacation and they where great. I took them hiking on trails, on rocks, in the water, up a mountain and walking all over town. The only place they don't work is be at the beach where the sand built up in the toes of the shoes. They are extremely comfortable!!! If you order a pair of these you will need at least 1/2 size larger than you normally where in a running shoe.

Love the "tug boat toe" on these shoes! Excellent protection from stubbed toes. I selected these for their fast drying feature, being good for both garden and beach. My 65 year old feet are prone to developing plantar fascitis, and these shoes seem to give pretty good support and stability even though the heel is not elevated. It took a few days to get accustomed to the textured insole and to figure out comfortable adjustment of the elastic. Needed to order 1/2 size larger than some other shoes. Now I think they'll be a great summertime everyday shoe.

Nifty shoes -
These are the first pair of Keens I've ever tried. Never even heard of 'em before but saw someone wearing them and liked the look. I was able to wear them right out of the box, almost unheard of for me. Took a little getting used to as they are not as smooth as leather but after a few days they felt fine. Now however, I notice they allow my ankles to turn out more then some of my other shoes, so if that's a problem they might not be for you.
