I was disappointed cause I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe. I ordered a pair of Rockports by Cobb Hill that I liked but thought would be tighter cause they had little stretch and were more narrow looking but they fit wonderful and are very comfortable. Both pairs were 8.5. I ordered this shoe in a wide. I can't speak to the arch support as I couldn't get my foot in it to try it out. I had to send these shoes back.

Beautiful shoe but it was not wide.

I read the other reviews about the shoe being narrow but considered myself to have narrow feet. HA. These are extremely narrow. I have to return for the wide version. Also, ordered a 6 (I wear 6 normally) and it was at least an inch too big. Will try the 5 wide and see how that fits

These shoes look nice with pants but they are one of the most uncomfortable pairs of shoes I've ever owned. I've tried heel inserts, insoles-nothing helps. When I wear them with socks they make the socks slide down on my feet. The leather is not soft. I would never order them again. I only checked one star for comfort because the site would not accept my review without every box checked. 0 stars for comfort would be my true choice.

I purchased these shoes less then 3 months ago and they are already worn out--did not hold up at all. The heel of the shoes are deteriorated. I do wear them daily but by the end of the day my feet ache. I sit at a desk for most of the day but when I am walking around at work it is in a doctors offices (to give you an idea of type of flooring) and the balls of my feet ache. There is not much between the balls of the feet and the sole of the shoe so when it is raining or wet outside you can feel the dampness throughou the shoe.

I bought these same shoes for several years because I loved how they looked and felt. However, this current pair that I've had a few years now, and have worn at most four or five times, is ridiculously sized too big. I wore them when I first received them because I was in a pinch but kick myself now, because I should have returned them immediately as I did the black pair that I bought along with these. I just recently bought another pair of black ones (thinking the sizing got straightened out) and I even ordered a half size down, and still I have to return them because they are too big! I don't know what's changed with their sizing but it's very frustrating. These were always my go to shoes and now I won't purchase another pair again. Waste of money for a pair of shoes that I got next to no use out of.

I've had these shoes for about six months and only keep them at work. At this point, the leather at the back/heel and along the side of the shoes appears to be deteriorating. It's blotchy and patchy in a weird way I've never seen before. It's like the dye is disappearing. This isn't a case of needing to touch up the shoes with shoe polish. This discoloration is happening on the shoe in an area that doesn't experience much "wear and tear" or abrasions (like the toe of the shoe would). It seems clear to me that the quality of the materials is sub-par. Franco Sarto used to make high quality shoes that were virtually indestructible (like 10 years ago). Unfortunately, I won't be buying these again.

I have worn these shoes for many years in a size 8 W. I would guess I have owned 8-10 pairs in a variety of colors. They have always been comfortable right out of the box - at least until the pair I just ordered Suddenly they are narrow enough that I can't wear them at all. I even doubled checked to make sure I received the same size. I am very disappointed. Franco Sarta has lost a loyal customer.

I am truly disappointed! I have owned several pairs of this shoe over the years because they have been so comfortable and the fit and quality have been excellent. I have a wider foot and a very high arch, so it's incredibly difficult for me to find shoes that fit well and are comfortable. Franco Sarto has changed the style of the shoe and the top of the shoe comes up VERY high onto the arch of the foot. I couldn't even get my foot into the shoe! Using a shoe horn, I finally managed to get my foot into it, and it felt as though the shoe was attacking my arch! Immediately, my foot started to cramp and I had to get the shoe off my foot as quickly as possible. Really, really sad. This shoe was a staple in my closet for YEARS! PLEASE bring back the old style!

The first 2 pair I purchased (black and red) lasted forever. I wore through the heel and leather. The second 2 pair (black and brown) both fell apart within a month of wearing them, in the exact same spot. The leather topper separated from the upper. Would not recommend purchase until they fix this issue.

I received a defective pair which I returned for an exchange. The defective pair, 6.5 M, fit perfectly. The replacement shoes,same style,marked as the same size,were so tight that I could not get them on. Very disappointed! I will not try a third pair. No more Franco Sarto for me.

The quality of this style of Franco Sarto is below my expectations. I have had no problems with the brand in the past. I purchased 2 of this same style. The sole came apart in less than 2 months of wear on one and the stitching that connects the top and side came loose with less than one month of wear.

Leather very hard and didn't mold to my foot. Have owned this shoe in the past in many colors and now the company has cheaped out on the quality of the leather.

Love the shoe but my narrow foot still slides forward in the 9N. Unless Franco Sarto offers a S (super narrow), I'll have to call these quits.

Shoe TORE in three wearings - I am very disappointed in these shoes. I wore them three times, and the leather tore. I wore thick socks the day or the tear, so I don't know if that was it. Argh. Now I am hoping Zappos will let me return or exchange them.

After reading all of the positive reviews, I'm quite disappointed at how uncomfortable this shoe turned out to be for me. I strongly recommend that you wear it at home on carpet for several hours before deciding to take it outdoors. I did not do that. It seemed to fit fine when I tried it at home. After a day at work, I had two blisters and it had rubbed a raw spot under my ankle. Shoe is quite stiff, and has a very hard sole, not cushioned as the description would lead you to believe.
