This shoe did not work for me - Although this is a fairly nice-looking shoe, it certainly did not work for me! The sole did not flex at all and the shoe is very heavy! The leather is very nice looking, but I thought the shoe looked so wide in my size 11N. I expected a much more comfortable shoe after reading so many reviews, but I was forced to return them. BUT, Zappos service is excellent!

Ouch. I bought the same shoe in person at Nordstrom and it was the most comfortable loafer I'd had in years. I bought the same size here as a replacement and it is very tight. I'm hoping it will break in, but it's nowhere near as comfortable as my old pair. (To be fair, the old pair lasted a long time.)

If you're wide, go wider - Ordered an 8 wide and normally,the wides at zappos fit fine. But this one, no way too tight. But it's a nice looking shoe so if you have a narrow foot, I'm sure it would be great.

Great style, but NOT a true to size - This shoe looks great, is versatile, but if you are a true narrow, this shoe is not for you. It looks great and this winter, hopefully will fit better with socks. It comes in N, which is what I purchased, but not explicitly a AA. I found that sometimes "N" does not equal AA.

order a size larger - These required some breaking in. It was snug across the vamp. The potential to be comfortable given it fits is great. In black, order a size larger than your usual.

Perfect if you're Cinderella - I liked the look, but could not get my foot into it...I felt like one of Cinderella's stepsisters. It was so narrow, I almost think the pair I received must have been stamped with the incorrect size.

Nice looking shoe, a bit snug. The shoe is quite nice, though it runs smaller than a typical wide width. In fact, it seemed to be more narrow than most medium width shoes.

Nice shoe, a bit too casual, though - This was a wonderfully comfortable loafer, but not quite dressy enough. I really needed something to wear with skirts. Some of your reviewers thought it looked good with skirts; I didn't. (Admittedly, my legs are kind of chunky; maybe women with slimmer calves might be able to wear this with skirts).

Better for people with wide feet! A friend swears by these, so I decided to try. I was disappointed that when I walk, they gap around the sides of the shoe. It's not comfortable or attractive. I do have fairly narrow feet and ankles, but usually do not need a narrow shoe. I may try a narrow in this one, since the look is great!

Nicer look than feel - I bought this shoe for the look and nice reviews. It just wasn't the right fit for my duck-feet. The sides bowed out even though I ordered a wide size. This shoe looked great when tried on with dress slacks, but I recommend this shoe for an evenly shaped, slender foot.

this shoe is defective it sweaks , I thought it would stop with wear but didnt.... I never have luck as Im a small size so I was desperate to find a black shoe

I ordered a size 8.5 Wide and could not get my foot into the shoes at all. They are extremely stiff. They did look nice in the box though.

From the high rating, I expected more. The shoe is very stiff and when walking and does not have a good "rocking" motion. It is heel down and then the front just slaps down. Very uncomfortable. I was thinking of keeping them and trying to break them in, but when a shoe costs this much, I don't think I should have to. I'm beginning to think I will never find a good loafer.

They are way too tight. I bought two other pairs before the same size and these are way tighter

I ordered a narrow width but nonetheless my foot slips out of the heel because it’s too wide. And the shoes are a bit tight on top of my toes (they are not deep enough).

I really wanted to love these shoes - they looked perfect, exactly the classic, timeless style I was after along with what I hoped would be comfort as well. Not only did they feel too big, as a return or exchange could have remedied that, yet the fit felt odd, almost like wearing a shoe on the wrong foot - hard to describe yet conclude simply not made well. I walked around in them (on carpet, with hose footies) for a few minutes closely evaluating the fit before making myself decide they weren't right and should be returned. It's hard to find a classic (not trendy), quality, stylish and comfortable loafer these days!! Yet I did end up finding one, not quite this style but close, in the Clarks line.

Size is no problem, but the material is very stiff. Since I had foot surgery, I really can't torture myself to have "break-in" time. Sorry I have to return it!

I normally wear a 9.5 but these shoes were very big and looked like men's loafers when I put them on.

I was really disappointed that I could not add a positive review. There is no arch support at all in these shoes, and I was very uncomfortable. They also gap on the outside of the foot, looking sloppy!

I was disappointed in these shoes. They slide at the heel and have absolutely no arch support.

This was the hardest shoe that I have ever put on. It was klunky and it did not conform to my foot. The bottom of the shoe was lumpy...huh what was that?
