I love these sandals. I've had probably 3 pairs of them over the years. They support your back, they look so cute, they make my feet feel great...I LOVE THEM.

Love! Finally a soft, supportive , no rub strap, casual sandal.... Hannel in Silver Venise! My picky feet have completed their sandal wardrobe. I will admit this is the only strap I liked in Mephisto this season, the rest were to scratchy or had sharp edges...they need to step it up! I am an 8.5 and I do a 39 in EU sizes, the arch is well placed, and there is a bit of room front and back... better that than hanging over. Thanks Zappos for making this process easy, sorry for the massive returns.

This is the second pair of Mephisto sandals that I've purchased...they are a pricey brand but I've found you get what you pay for most of the time. These sandals are unsurpassed for comfort and are perfect for every day with jeans or capris. Love that the footbed in Mephisto styles that begin with the same letter is the same throughout the line...the first pair I purchased were the Helen and these feel exactly the same. Stability, comfort, arch support and style as well as workmanship are really superb! Don't let the price scare you away...unless these are the only shoes in your closet I expect them to last for years!

Runs shorter than other styles. The grey color has a ghoulish green tint.

I love these sandals! I have them in every color. I have flat feet, fallen, pronated arches, a fused toe and very narrow feet. These are very comfortable and support my feet well. I have to buy shoes with buckles or some means of adjusting the width because my foot is so narrow (AAAA) The leather does stretch over time. I bought a leather punch and just punch more holes to make the straps tighter as the straps stretch. I used to do the same with Birkenstocks. I wish more styles were adjustable for me. These are more comfortable than Birks and more fashionable, I feel. I love the new silver color!

I have been ordering a pair of Elka and Hammel Mephisto sandals every year for a long time. They are the only sandals I can wear (I have bad arches, etc.), and I like the way they look. You won't find Elka on Zappos, though, because Mephisto discontinued that style, along with Rush, my other go-to Mephisto shoe. Not as stylish, but a wonderful, wonderful walking shoe. I've tried other Mephisto styles and they are all inferior. I'm not the only one who thinks this way -- look at the reviews! I will buy another Hannel this summer, just in case it is discontinued too. If that happens, I will continue to buy them on Ebay. Mephisto, what's wrong with you?!

I bought these shoes because I have a different color, which I have worn for along time. They are extremely comfortable and they wear very well. You almost can't wear them out. They are great for tired feet because the support and arch is excellent! Mephisto makes great shoes and I have several different styles.

These are great sandals. Three women in my family, two with neuromas, rely on these shoes and now you are down to three colors?!!! This is a beloved Mephisto and your loyal customers deserve better than three plain colors. And I agree with the earlier review - bring back the patent! It was casual enough for shorts but dressy enough for summer skirts and sundresses.

I have neuromas and have to put orthotics in all my shoes. Except the Mephisto Hannel. I own four pairs of the black patent (bought through the years) and one of the snake skin (only because they were on sale and I wear them around the house). I love these sandals and the patent made them a bit dressier and I wear them with everything from shorts to summer dresses. But Mephisto stopped making the black patent as well as other colors and the few colors they have left are not nearly as cute as what they used to offer. These are great sandals, with great reviews, and I hope that Mephisto reconsiders how they seem to be phasing them out.

After trying several different brands and styles (without success) I decided to give this shoe a try. I have several pairs of Mephisto Helen and love them, but I'm currently experiencing pain from a severe hammer toe that is made worse by a psoriasis breakout on the toe and the Helen just isn't working for me right now. I needed a pair of black sandals...The Hannel is it! I agree that the leather is thin, but I trust Mephisto to use the right leather for the shoe. They are comfortable, have a great footbed, and the adjustable strap makes this shoe perfect for me. I tried them on when I received them today, and haven't taken them off. After shopping and errands they are still comfortable. I wear a 7M USA sizing, and ordered a 37 in this shoe. Fits perfect.

Mephisto Sydel was my shoe of choice for years, however I now have a foot problem and have to wear a toe separator which means I need a wider shoe. Like Sydel, the Hannel has an adjustable strap, but in addition has a wider footbed which works better for me now.Also can wear with light socks or tights- a more stylish Birkenstock!

Had to pull the top strap to the very last hole, to keep shoe on. Otherwise, another nice Mefisto. Had to pass in favor of the Dansko in rose which has a bit more heel.

I did not find that these sandals ran short, as suggested, so had to return the bigger size recommended. This is the second pair of this style that I have ordered. They are comfortable and the adjustable straps allow for the perfect fit. Love them.

Love these shoes! Bought a pair to take on my first trip to Paris. Walked all day for 10 days and couldn't have had a better shoe! I took another pair for wet weather but went straight back to these.

I tried two other similar styles of Naot, but settled on this one. It was a tad more feminine looking than the comparable Naot style and it fit more comfortably in the toe area (my second toe is rather long). The sole is really solid and rigid (in a good supportive way). My heel stays put, which is critical for me. It's soft, but not so squishy that it looses its support. I've owned them for about a month now, and recently noticed that I'm not wearing all my other sandals because these are just so much more comfortable.

These run small. I need a 12 but the 12 ( 42 ) is more the size of an 11. Loved the sandal and would be totally comfortable if long enough. Had to send them back.

I've bought Mephistos before and love them, there were no surprises with my order from Zappos. The sandals are comfortable, fit well and look good for being that comfortable.

My foot doctor recommended Mephisto (among other brands), so I shopped around. These are great shoes, I got these after I had foot surgery and needed something presentable but still comfortable. Fit true to size and are great quality. Didn't even really need breaking in, no blisters or sore spots. I got the dark brown scratch color, and am thinking about getting a black pair so I can wear more of my wardrobe! Definitely recommend.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are comfortable from the moment you put them on. If you are looking for shoes that you can wear everyday - these are them! Also - Zappos' shipping is absolutely fabulous!

I have many foot issues, 3 foot surgeries, and some neuropathy. I require a rigid, non-flexing base and these shoes fit the bill. They adjust to fit my very skinny feet and make my foot feel quite stable. I used to wear Danskos and still like them a lot. But their higher height has caused me to turn my ankle and fall. These shoes are closer to the ground.

This is the best sandal, in my opinion. This is my second pair. Unmatched comfort, far superior to Birkenstocks. They are definitely worth the money.

Love the shoe. I have a bad back and I find nothing compares to a Mephisto shoe! Fit great and give the best support. I can walk miles without pain in a Mephisto shoe.

Don't listen to the reviews that tell you to "size up" in this style. I have a 40 in the Helen and the 40 in this fits identically. I hope this helps someone save the trouble of ordering an extra set of shoes as I did!

I love these shoes. They have very good support and feel so comfortable on my feet. Although these are similar to Birkenstocks, they are so much more feminine and stylish. They are versatile enough to wear with jeans, shorts, yoga pants, or a casual skirt. They are the perfect summer shoes that blend style with practicality.
