Perfect for summer - First saw these in Italy, but didn't buy them. Then went to a store and couldn't get my size. Tried Zappos and there they were. Service was extraordinary. Delivered on Monday after Sat. order and they are perfect. They feel like walking on air and the pink color is very stylish. Just what I wanted.

Extreme comfort - Super comfortable sandals- no break-in period. I have a narrow foot and the fact that the straps are adjustable made all the difference. I usually wear an orthotics but don't need it with these. They go great with casual clothes and they also work pretty well with the funky "global" look that's in now.

Mephisto Hannel - truly perfect - I've had several surgeries on one foot and often find it difficult to get a comfortable fit with various brands of shoes; however, these were perfect as soon as I tried them on. There was no "break-in" period required. I truly adore them and plan to get several colors very soon. If there is a perfect shoe....this is it. You can't go wrong with the Mephisto brand.

Mephisto Hannel - If you are flat footed, this Candlesandal is outstanding!! You can out-stand anyone and walk & be on your feet all day in complete comfort. The arch support is A+ and the style is great with jeans, shorts or skirts. I totally love this fit.

walk all day - These shoes look better on than they do in the photo, less clunky. And, as always, Mephisto's feel amazing when you walk, but the brand doesn't really accommodate half sizes well, so if you're an 8 1/2 it's better to order a size 9. The suede sole feels great on a hot day- no slipping around in your sandals.

Worth every penny - Took these sandals for a week traveling in France. Wore them every day. No break in needed. Casual and dressy look with a pants suit.

Mephisto Has Done It Again - The Mephisto Hannel sandal is not only very stylish but comfortable as well. It has great arch support and comes in various colors. I had to have them all. It is one of the best casual slip-on sandals I've ever worn.

First experience with Zappos Shoes - I can see why you are called: "Zappos"! Because it's zappo! and my shoes were here! I have never had such speedy service! Because of your fast delivery I was able to have the shoes for the trip I had planned. I will definitely choose Zappos again for my shoe needs. I really like Mephisto products and had checked the local stores for this style. So I was quite pleased to find it on your web site.

dynamite comfort - I have a very high arch, and this brand is one of the few sandals that I have ever found that provide me the support I need. I have worn one pair of Mephistos for 4 summers and across three continents. They are the best shoe ever made!

The perfect shoe - This is the most comfortable shoe I have. I have nerve problems in my feet and can only wear cork footbeds now. The pink is perfect, I just wish it came in green and lavender as well. Sorry, I can't comment on arch support since I really don't have much of one.

I loved these sandals but a 40 is too short and a 41 is too big. While these straps are adjustable to accommodate my narrow feet, when I tighten them enough to stay on, then, as I walk, my feet slide back. However, they are soft and the footbed is soo comfortable. Returned them.

I have the Helen and love those but the footbed on these felt different. I sent them back. I didn't want to try another pair, as the style seemed a bit frumpy to me.

Fit was good and felt great but the grery was too light and didn't look good on my foot. Good support and comfortable right out of the box.

Zappos was a great experience. I changed my mind three times and they were so helpful. I got new shoes every day for three days. The Mephisto Hannel sandals that I got were too small. I had to go a full size up and then they fit fine. They are hard to break in and took some getting used to because the sole is not that flexible. Now they are fine.

These are nice shoes, but pretty small. They seem more like an 8 to 8½, at best, I am barely a 9 in US sizes, but I was packed into these and walking would not have been comfortable. I do have a high volume foot (wide at forefoot, high instep) so perhaps a size nine but narrow, lower - instep foot would be comfortable in a 39. The gold cobra leather pattern is sharp, but surprisingly the leather did not look or feel as like outstanding quality leather.

Very comfortable but I'm between sizes so they're not perfect for me strap-wise. I like their velcro fasteners best. Mephisto has great arch support. Worth the money.

These are very comfortable sandals, but tend to run a little wider than normal.

My dream is but a dream. I have longed for a pair of Mephisto sandals for years as I have a difficult foot with lots of problems. I have worn only good proper sport shoes everyday until I got my Hannels. My life has changed for now I, too, have sandals. Sandals that are also good for your feet. My podiatrist smiled at my sandals. BUT, they are not the comfortable dream I had imagined but when you have a proper sandal who say you are going to get a pillow beneath your soles? I am still attempting to wear them everyday to get familiar enough that I don't have to think about them as I go about my business of the day. But who cares?? I have my Mephistos after all.

Good arch support...for certain feet - One of my arches is a touch higher than the other. For that foot, the shoe is super comfortable. For the other foot, the arch on this shoe is a bit uncomfortable when I walk long distances - it pushes back. For someone with narrowish feet or high arches, this is probably a great shoe.

Stretching straps - I love the look and the footbed is incredibly comfortable, but the nubuck straps stretched out too much (even after adjusting the buckles) and the shoes are loose. They 'flap' too much when I walk, which defeats the purpose of getting them--I wanted a sandal w/support, and I thought the instep strap would keep them snug against my foot.

Very cute sandals, but the upper strap dug into my foot too much. Had to return.

I've had this same style shoe for probably 20 years and loved them. This pair was definitely not made as well. I was very disappointed with the straps.

This would have been my third pair. Not quality as in past. Returned

They were great at first - and SO comfortable so I wore them a lot, especially working from home. But after several months, they got really stretched out. Now my foot slides all over the place when I wear them, so I have to stop wearing them.
