Technical failures!!! I would have a difficult time repurchasing this shoe. It was very comfortable and supportive for all day wear, however, the hook and loop closure wore out in only a couple of months! In addition, the treads started popping off!!! I loved them so much I took them to a shoe repair shop. He completely replaced the hook and loop material by sewing on all new pieces and he glued down the treads. Now they are almost as good as new, but still a bummer because they are nearly perfect for me in fit and design.

They are cute - not perfect, but wearable! I like them - I use them to work out in -- they are really cute with the opening on top. The only issue is that the strap is a little rough and irritates the top of the foot....(I am wearing them without socks though).....

Order a size larger than normal - I love the look of these shoes, but now mine have holes cut out of the toes because they are too short and didn't come in a size 12. If you're lucky enough to wear a size 10 or lower, order the next size larger and you'll probably be happy. They are very good quality shoes and this design is perfect for easy on and off for exercise classes.

Shoes a disappointment for problem feet - I have problems with my feet (bunions -- a family trait made worse by dance and running). These shoes have a low toe box and chafe the tops of my toes. However, for short periods of time, they are bearable and I like the way my feet look in them. Probably if I had bought them at a store I would have returned them.

Ryka Versa Mary Jane - They run a little wide, great for a wider foot. Very comfortable for walking & running around. I wouldn't recommend for exercise.

Not great if you have a high arch - I have a high arch, and the velco only goes about half way across. I think the shoes look boxy, and I try not to wear them when I am going out. I'm just to lazy to return them.

This shoe is comfortable, but they were not easy to wear. They didn't seem to look good with or without socks. I wouldn't buy another Mary Jane type tennis shoe again. I read another review to buy a size larger than you normally wear. I did that and they were too big. So I should have bought my regular size. They didn't work for me. I am 36 and I think these shoes are better for someone who is older. They sort of look like orthopedic shoes. I gave them to my mother and she loves them

Ryka's review - Very comfortable, I am on my feet all day at work, these have toe space as I have a bunion. They have worked for me, I ordered 1/2 size bigger than my normal size. I guess they run short.

Ryka Mary Jane - This shoe does not have any arch support. For women with high arches, the velcro does not hold and will pop open when you walk. Ryka needs to lengthen the strap and add arch support to make these comfortable.

Aaaargh, these shoes are frustrating! These are great shoes until after wearing them a month and now the straps won't stay closed.

Don't buy this shoe - When I first bought this shoe, I loved it. It is very comfortable and cute. That being said, the velcro on this shoe is of very poor quality and I can't walk a block without having to bend over and re-strap it. This started happening about a couple of months after having worn the shoe (of which, I only wear it to the gym a couple of days a week). Bummer. I really liked the shoe, but it is not practical if you want to move in it what so ever.

I wore these shoes to work on a 7.5 hour shift 6.75 of those hours spent walking, standing the usual retail sales activities. They didn't give a lot of support and my feet felt ok. I wore them the next day same hours on my feet, by the end of the night my heels and balls of my feet were burning, I was hurting. The following morning by feet were still burning and I had to walk slowly and softly until the stinging stopped. If you’re into looks and not comfort these shoes are very cute on. I'll still shop with Zappos because of the great service and I'll keep trying to find the most comfortable shoes, ever.
