Comfortable, functional shoe - This shoe is perfect for slipping on to go for a quick walk with the dog or to go to the park with my toddler. It provides more protection than a sandal, but doesn't make my feet too hot.

Purchased out of necessity - now worn by choice! I purchased the Ryka Mary Janes after I broke my wrist and was unable to tie my shoes! Now, nice people would offer to tie them but really, I also sort of liked their kooky look so what the heck? I got the usual prompt and courteous delivery from Zappos. I have worn them for over a month now and like them. I generally wear them to work out in the gym so they are not taking the beating that outdoor shoes get. They have not had any annoying features that call attention to themselves such as a spot that rubs or pinches. I think I like them so much because I basically put them on and forget them. The strange thing is that they are a half size larger than I normally wear and I'd buy another half size larger if I ordered them again! I DO like them enough that I am considering ordering another pair although I CAN tie my shoes now.

Alright shoe - I'm torn as to whether or not this shoe looks cool. It kind of looks a bit cheap in black (which is what I got). I've gotten mixed reviews, some people think they are very cute, some say... okay... But they've worked great for the gym and bike riding. One complaint... my foot does slide side to side a bit when doing lunges.

Exactly what I was looking for :-) I wanted a shoe for the gym that I wouldn't have to wear socks with. So far this shoe has fit the bill. I get compliments on them whenever I wear them. And I love how incredibly light weight they are. Because I choose not to wear socks with them the hook and loop style strap rubs a tiny bit and my heel also lifts slightly. Which would probably bother me if I was wearing them for a more extended period of time. And yet, for the most part I am very happy with this shoe.

Ryka Mary Janes are very comfortable - Bought it for travel...looks a little better than lace up sport shoes and as I’m a vegetarian I don't wear leather...so that limits me considerably. I’m quite happy with them. The velcro looks as if it may not hold up as long as the rest of the shoe, but so far I’m happy with them. Wish more mfg would make vegan shoes.

I was looking for a sport shoe that had a different look. The look is great and the comfort exceeded my expectations.

Nice, light comfortable shoe - Order 1/2 size smaller than you normally wear. Other than that it's a great shoe and I can still wear it with really thick socks.

I wear these shoes at a fitness center for circuit training. I'm not sure it would be a good shoe for running. It has good support, but for a running shoe I prefer a lace-up shoe for a more snug fit.

Ryka's Versa Mary Jane - Great shoe, way cool looking, easy on and off. Only concern is that after 3 weeks the velcro strap is acting worn and not as "sticky".

Comfortable and Casual - This shoe fit perfectly right from the start. There was no breaking in time. The heel is a snugger fit, just as Ryka promised which helped keep it from slipping as I walked. I wear this casually with jeans and as an all-round light fitness shoe. I bought these shoes to wear on a trip to Germany where I plan to be walking all day and so far, the comfort and support is exactly what I will need for all-day walking.

Cute mary janes - This was my first order from Zappos. I was very satisfied with my order. These shoes are very comfortable. Ryka is a sneaker made for women and they fit great. I have gotten so many compliments since I have worn these.

Different and Comfortable - I ordered the black Versa, and I really like them. They are super light and very comfortable. I'm a little unsure how to wear it -- socks look a little weird, but no socks isn't really a great option either. Also, even at the right size, they slip a little in the back, and the stability isn't great for a full on workout, but they are super for walking and doing some lifting weights, or just for kicking around. I'm guessing the white are a little more versatile, but then again... Overall, this is a really comfortable and unexpected shoe. I like them.

A dressier athletic shoe - Because of a bone spur on my heel, my podiatrist advised wearing athletic shoes with a special arch support seven days /week. I work in an office where white tennis shoes do not look good with dress slacks, so I started looking for something that would work. I chose this black Mary Jane Ryka. I had worn other Rykas in the past and absolutely loved them. This shoe was the best one yet. Wearing them to work, I have received many compliments on them, and my feet feel so much better at the end of the day. I've got other Ryka and Skechers athletic shoes that I really like, but I wear these even on days that I am not working or wearing my dress slacks. I wear these with my jeans as well.

sneak it into your business-casual office - It's not really my style of shoe--I don't normally go for the athletic look--but it's SO comfortable for everyday wear and the Mary Jane dresses it up a little bit, so I have ended up wearing these practically every day since I got them. My knees are bad, So, would not vigorously exercise at length in them, but they have allowed me to jog a half a block without pain, which I could not do in any of my normal shoes. They are fairly adorable for athletic shoes and so comfortable! I recommend them. I even ordered a boatload of shoes to try from zappos, and this pair beat out all the others for comfort plus relative sleekness.

Funky "dress" black sneakers- The "boys" in my home think these shoes are funky looking, but I think this is a great shoe! Extremely light, comfortable and fit is similar to other Ryka fitness shoes. The Versa accommodates my rather clunky full-size orthotics. The Velcro adjustment is helpful. A very good shoe for those with sore feet, especially plantar fasciitis.

Ryka Versa Mary Jane - When I first put the shoes on I thought they were very comfortable. After 2 hours of wearing them my toes were starting to hurt a little and felt like my foot was being pushed forward more than with most sport shoes. I do have wide feet with a high instep and high arch so this may just be my own personal problem. I had to take them off and change to another shoe. I am hoping that maybe with time they will start to get more comfortable for me as I think they are very cute and I don't want to return them. Zappo's got these shoes to me with top speed and I will continue to shop for shoes with this great company!!

A Very Comfortable Shoe - I really like this shoe. I bought it to be a casual shoe but have worn it to the gym and cycling. Looks cute with jeans but performs well as an athletic shoe.

Great shoe - This shoe is great for the walking on country gravel roads that I do several times a week. It fits very well in the heel and is very light. My only gripe is the color...I'd love to wear it to work, but it doesn't really blend in with anything. I have achey knees a lot, but have not had a problem with this shoe. If it came in Black, I'd buy it in a heart beat!

A little disappointed - strap too short - The shoe was very comfortable when I put it on, but the strap wasn't long enough because when I fastened it over my foot there was still a lot of white Velcro exposed on the shoe. It looks silly on my foot. I think I'll return them, which is a bummer because I was really excited about these shoes. The color was a lot grayer than I expected, too. Zappos has excellent service, and they upgraded my shipping at no cost so I got them in less than 2 days.

Love this shoe...except the velcro - I've had the same issue as many others, the weak velcro fastener. It's a shame because otherwise this is about my favorite shoe and I have many, lol! It's one of only a few pair that I can wear comfortably all day at work on my feet, plus they look really cute. I have size 10 feet with extremely high arches and long toes. My heels are short so it's hard to find a shoe that accommodates the front half of my feet without slipping off my heels, and is cushioned enough to wear all day as I have foot issues due to my high arches, and previous ankle surgery. These shoes do it all and the style minimizes the length of my feet. Just wish they'd fix the stupid velcro!!!

Ryka Versa Mary Jane - I own two pairs of these shoes and love the look and fit! I have foot problems and Ryka are the best fitting shoes I have found if I wear additional support in the heal and arch. I have a major complaint with the velcro on this style however. After about 8 weeks of wear the velcro just stopped holding. I now have to wear a paper clip over the velco on the strap in order to keep them shut. The velcro will not hold at all! It surprises me that after all the bad reviews on the velcro for this shoe, Ryka has not replaced it with a sturdier version. I have owned velcro strapped shoes before that held like they were welded, and they were Ryka! If you don't mind the poor Velcro quality buy the shoes. If you find it annoying like I do...don't buy them. Go for another pair of Rykas.

I like the fit of this shoe, but the Velcro is very weak. After several months of the Velcro popping open during step aerobics classes, I resorted to hot-gluing another strip of store-bought Velcro onto the shoe. While I plan on buying another pair of Rykas after these wear out, I will stay away from this style.

Good shoes - Great shoes, I bought them when I was pregnant and they helped a lot with the not having to bend over to tie shoes. The only problem is that within a couple of months the velcro stopped working. It is a shame, they are very comfy, but I can’t wear them without having to bend over to close the velcro and that is hard to do when you are 8 months pregnant.

Just Not Made for My Feet - I was looking for a shoe that would travel well, i.e. can slip off and on easily going thru airport security, comfortable to walk around the city in, and can be used to work out in at the hotel work-out rooms. This style would have worked, but they just didn't fit my feet...too narrow for me around the toes and the heel is too short so I didn't feel I had the support I needed. Too bad because I liked the style and the look.
