Good overall; very attractive appearance and they feel like good, though not exceptional, quality. Not uncomfortable at first but I'm hoping they break in a bit more. Customer service is the best around!

Overall a good pair of shoes. Sizing is big so order half a size smaller than you normally wear, even with socks they are large. Not the most comfortable boat shoe I've worn, but a solid addition.

This is a classic-looking boat shoe that is good for the warm weather. You could dress it up a little with chinos or just wear them everyday with shorts. I got 2 full seasons out of my old ones, so I just replace them after they're all beat up. This is my 2nd pair I've owned.

Exactly what you would expect out of a boat shoe. They look and feel great. The more you wear, the more comfortable the shoe gets.

The photo looked like a dark brown smooth leather like other Sperry's I have owned. In fact it is a suede-like nu-buc texture that I hate. The rawhide laces never seem tight and always come untied. Other shoes from them come with cotton laces and they always stay tied.. Should have read the description better. My own fault.

Received my shoes on schedule. Was surprised when they came from somewhere other than Sperry. They are very nice shoes, well made, and the finish is excellent. However there was a problem that I attribute to poor quality control. The leather laces furnished are not matching. The lace on the left shoe is thicker and 5 inches shorter than the lace on the right shoe. That made it impossible to tie the usual double bow knot and have both shoes look the same. So, to correct that I had to buy a lacing needle and a set of 72 inch chocolate brown laces (so I would have plenty of lace to adjust the length). I expect this will fix the lace problem but I did have to put several hours into finding out how to change laces and where to get new ones and a needle to thread them with. I do notice the shoes feel a bit narrow and I think that with some wear they will stretch wider as my other deck shoes have done. These shoes are my third pair of Sperry Top Siders over the years. Never had a lace problem before. Top Siders usually are long lasting well made shoes, it appears these new ones will be that way. I hope that proves to be the case.

These shoes are pretty stylish and are definitely comfortable. I wear them to work regularly and have not noticed any durability issues. I think I'm more of a loafers kind of guy, but it is difficult to find loafers with little or no heel so I went with these. The shoe string is a bit awkward but wraps around the entire shoe to allow for increased control of how loose you want the shoe to be on foot. Zappos is the only place I could find with all black Sperry's.

I purchased the shoe size I normally purchase for my son. We like the shoe but are going to have to make an exchange as the size purchased is too big.

A great classic look, and plenty comfortable. The leather sees kind of cheap though. Perhaps I am just used to harder leather. I had to order size smaller, and I wound up needing to exchange for a larger EE width. Some manufacturers don't seem to widen shoes too much in larger size. I ordered a 15.

Sperry's are awesome. Great quality and great style but they were harder to break in than any other pair of shoes I've ever owned. I don't know if it's because they are leather but I had blisters on my heels within the first few hours of wearing them. They hurt like crazy at first but now I'm used to them and love them.

For me this shoe is "old reliable" as a combo slipper/sandal/casual shoe. Size is true without socks or with very thin socks. If you plan on wearing these mainly with socks I would order a half size larger than normal.

They were awesome for the first month, but after a lot of walking, air began to be pushed out of the shoe with every step and it makes an extremely loud squeak. It is especially annoying when walking across a room during class because it is loud enough for everyone to hear. I've tried putting in inserts, wearing thicker socks, even putting tape across the holes in the shoe - all to no avail. A friend of mine developed the same problem with his new pair. I can only hope that my next pair does not have such a faulty quality.

The dark brown is a little darker than you would expect, but no complaints. By far my nicest pair of Sperrys right now.

I'm a little disappointed in the quality of materials. The shoe leather seems thinner and the shoe cords are not real leather, unlike every other pair of Sperry Top-Siders I have owned over the years. I have a comparably-priced pair of Sperry Top-Siders that has much higher quality materials.

Shoe fits well enough but even for deck shoes the insole is very thin and provides little support. Less than I have felt from similar products.

Deck shoes are about traction on a boat's moving deck. Sperry gets that. Most critical for me, these have the original soles, with the real sipping --not just a wavy tread pattern-- so the traction is what I hoped for. Only real sipping works worth a rip on a wet deck. The leather is not the original-quality oil-impregnated stuff that I remember from 30 years ago, which felt like raw bacon when it got wet but was good for 20 years, but it seems as good or better than anything else I've seen on the market of late. Stitching quality is good, not great: a couple loose stitches between sole and upper. The sole stitching is braided thread, which is good, maybe better than the original, while the stitching on the upper is loose-twist nylon(?), not the original, more durable waxed thread. However, they haven't over-complicated the construction, which means that when the stitching lets go, I can repair it myself with needle and palm, no big deal. Don't bother wondering about arch support. There's a reason they call these shoes "moccasins": they are very minimalist. No arch support at all, and the sole is meant to provide traction on a boat's deck, not squishy cushioning for a day on your feet at work. If you only want something "stylish" that makes you look like you just stepped off your yacht, but with soft soles and arch support, try another shoe. I have very wide feet. Almost round. If I could find lace-up horseshoes with a deck sole, I'd probably buy them. In other shoes I usually get size 10 1/2, just for the width, or 10 EE on the rare occasions a company makes an EE. I started with 10 EE, when I ordered these, and they were large enough they felt like flippers. 9 1/2 EE were also too long, though they were a nice width. 9 EE were the right length, but too narrow. I think I finally got it right with 9 EEE. Not too many companies make a EEE --thank you, Sperry! Usually I wear them without socks, but I can squeeze in with socks if I need to. Thank you Zappos, for so cheerfully letting me do three different exchanges. And for getting the shoes here darn near overnight each time. I'll be back for more when these blow out beyond what I can repair with the contents of my ditty bag.

I ordered 3 pair to zero in on the right size. In the past I have had trouble getting the correct fit based on Sperry's sizing. Zappos is great to deal with. They ship on time, never goof up the billing and make returns easy. I give them 5 stars!

Fit, finish and comfort are all good as with all Authentic Origionals. A heads up that the black on black is a suede shoe, which the web site fails to mention and can't be detected on the average computer screen. Works for me, so I'm keeping them but it was a surprise. Also, as always need more choices in a wide last. Don't understand the marketing strategy of such limited options available in wide.

First time wearing was loose so I returned it and get one size smaller and it fit perfectly. I got 9.5 and usually wear a size 10, but 8.5 actually fit better.

Comfy and stylish. I usually wear a size 14, but if they offered a 13.5, I would've gone that route, they are a little loose but not to fall off loose.

These are exactly what I wanted. I had an old pair where the soles had worn out. These are nice and comfortable compared to my old ones.

I am pleased with my Sperry's I should have considered that they would stretch out. The inner sole is better then any other boat shoe I have worn. They should have been a little tighter out of the box!
