Salomon, not just for skiing anymore - Bought my first pair of Salomon SX-91 rear entry ski boots when I was a kid....good stuff then, good stuff now. Sharp shoe, good performer.

Cool shoes - I love the fact, there are no traditional laces. They fit great.

Zappos should have listed as running small.

Similar to other reviews, this show just does not have the same fit/comfort as it once did. I will try a larger size when they get them in stock as I’ve been a loyal Salomon customer over the years but wish they would go back to their old fits on all over their shoes.

Shoe looked good and the tread was nice. I returned because it felt tight across the toe box.

They say they are wide but I couldn't take more than a couple hours of wearing around the house before my feet were sore.

I bought these for my son who had worn out an older version of the same shoe. We ordered the same size as before, but this shoe was painfully narrow and seemed to be a little shorter than the older shoe. Although he does not have a wide foot, we wound up exchanging for a half size larger and a wide width which was what he needed for this shoe to be wearable.

I have wide feet and usually have to re-lace my shoes in way to allow more room across the balls of my feet. Re-lacing allows me to fit into E width shoes. However, these shoes cannot be re-laced as the lace is a single closed loop. A toggle is used to tighten the shoe and the lace ends are sealed into a plastic piece after they are laced at the factory. The end result is that the shoe was too narrow for me and could not be adjusted.

I have worn Salomon shoes (XA pro and GTX) for the last eight years and have loved them. These shoes look great but like others have said they have changed the width. I ordered the wide but my toes were still tight in the toe box. I did not think that I had wide feet and have never had this problem before with their shoes. I am returning these shoes and trying another brand since this is how they redesigned them.

Ordered these shoes to deal with a heel spur issue. They proved to be too tight and provide little relief. Not at all happy with the handy dandy (ie lazy person's idea no doubt) lacing system. Seems too many can't master the simple task of bending over and tying their shoes these days. What's wrong with a nice simple pair of shoe lacings. The way the lacings connect at the toe of the shoe looks like a disaster waiting to happen in the future. When that at least fragile appearing connection lets go, you have a worthless pair of shoes. Okay, feel better now. But always, the folks at Zappos were wonderful about a prompt and easy return.

Build quality seems solid, which is good, but just be prepared that this results in a noticeably heavier shoe than a road runner. I'm still trying to get used to an awkward sense in the right shoe that the entire thing is slightly tilted inward, and I'm unsure if this is an anomaly / defect in my particular set or the intended setup. I've even tried inserting brand new SuperFeet insoles but that did not remedy the situation. I also found these to be a bit narrow in the front part of the shoe.

I just got these shoes and wore them around the hours for about 3 hours. My feet have literally never hurt like this. It was like someone put my feet into a vice and tortured me. And that was even after I'd loosened them until the heel was slipping. These shoes are narrow. I've worn Merrells for the past 10 years or so, but I was impressed by the reviews these Salomons had receiver. I'm shipping them back tomorrow and ordering a pair of Merrells that were my second choice. The Salomons are well-made shoes; they're beautifully made. But I swear on all that's holy my feet have never been in such pain, and they still ache after being barefoot for half an hour now. The tops, bottoms, and sides of my feet hurt, and even my right calf muscle. What a miserable experience.

I ordered this shoe because it was identical to the pair I have now. I like the quick tie feature, the style, quality, and support. However, when it tried on the new pair, it was at least a full size smaller, yet marked 8 1/2. I returned the pair to Zappos.

I have a pair of these shoes. The new pair is narrower and smaller than my 4 year old pair. This new pair also felt thicker, and very stiff, more so than a new pair of shoes should feel. I am returning them to Zappos.
