As long as Salomon continues to make trail running shoes, I will own one pair of breathable meshy ones (like these) and one pair of Gore-Tex waterproof ones. I like having waterproof ones for situational use, but I want the open mesh on my feet as often as possible. I buy a new pair of Salomon shoes every few years, and there's always an awkward period of looking through current models to find what is closest to what I had last time. I need to point out that this particular model is noticeably narrower than what I've had in the past. I'm making it work because it's too late for a return, but next time I'll be smart and order wide. To any of you out there who are on the fence between widths, err on the side of wide. And if it feels a bit too tight, don't assume it's going to loosen up much. Just exchange it!

This is the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever tried in my life. The EE width was too narrow to even get completely past my toes. The funky Quick Lace system might look good n paper, but in actuality it's horrible.

I love these shoes. They fit great and my feet don't get sore or tired in them. I work construction and they hold up great. They also have pretty good grip in wet and icy conditions.

Third pair....what more should I say.A great price too as always here at ZAPPOS!!!

Nice quality product for long distance running

Best shoes I've ever had. Plus they look nice. I've actually had people stopped me and asked me what they were.

My second pair. I was hiking in the rain and my first pair got soaked. I purchased this pair because these are the first hiking shoes that have given me zero problems. Love them! Do yourself a favor and buy a pair.
