Salomon's XA Pro 3D - I first started wearing Salomon shoes 4 years ago. First it was the Amphib...then the XA Comp 3 and now the XA Pro 3D. This is by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. It's light, sturdy and looks great.

Great Grip - These shoes are fantastic. Ran a 10 mile trail race through rivers and very muddy trails with these shoes right out of the box. They were simply amazing. I could fly down on the downhills and stick as I made fast turns on super muddy trails. Lots of room for warmer socks and they drain quite well. Had moved away from Solomon’s but I am now back and very happy. I am not sure how well they will do in an ultra but will be trying that soon.

These shoes are great, however, they take a while to break in good! The top of my foot is uncomfortable when not tightened down.

Comfort, durability, looks? What more can you ask for?! I was a little hesitant buying this shoe because I thought it was a little funny looking. But I am so happy I bought these. After years of buying Adidas trail running shoes and having them wear fast on me I thought I would look into these. They are very comfortable, durable, and I do like the looks of them. Never have I received so many positive comments on a shoe before. In fact they were so great I bought a weatherproof version for the winter time.

Great Shoe - Great shoe with support and breathability. Very comfortable and the slide toggle is easy to use. Had to cut the insole in half, removing the back half, to allow for orthotics - but that worked.

This shoe is awesome - My son loves this shoe. We tried it on in one of the local stores but they didn't have the size he needed. When it arrived, it was perfect.

My favorite shoe - These have been the best shoe I have ever bought. These are very modern, and high tech!

Great Shoe - Love this shoe. I have bought two pair of these and they are light, comfortable and easy to put on.

Versatile - I originally bought these for off road running, however they are so comfortable and light I also use them for hardtop and the treadmill. I wear an 11. I should have bought these in an 11 1/2.

ABSOLUTE BEST PAIR EVER OWNED - I have always felt confident about my purchase thru Zappos, but now this shoe has really made it even better. I have never had a shoe feel so comfortable. I am going to by the same pair in another color. I get compliments on the style. Another thing about buying thru Zappos, you get so many options. Its war better than depending on the local buyer’s tastes.

Awesome shoe - This is my second pair of these great shoes from Salomon. The first pair wore like champs for a few years before the tread was worn down. The rest of the shoe looked almost brand new. If you want a lightweight hiker, trail runner, walker, or just a comfortable shoe, this is it! The quick lace system is awesome and assures a perfect fit without the hassle of laces (it never loosens). This is the best shoe I've ever bought, hands down. In fact, my wife bought a pair and loves them just as much.

Love these shoes! I've worn the last 2 versions of these shoes and can confirm that it's a very comfortable and functional shoe. My last pair went a year before showing enough wear (sole worn out) that I needed a new pair. Highly recommended.

Light as air!

Salomon Shoes Rock! I own two pairs of these shoes and they are extremely comfortable. I work in the operating room in a hospital with standing around mixed with running around as my job description. They are super comfortable, everybody asks about them because they are stylish and I LOVE the quick zip tying shoelaces. If you're on the fence....buy them! No regrets here!

Outstanding Shoe - This is a great shoe. I bought one pair and a week later bought another pair. The lace system is simple and quick and the comfort is excellent.

Great fitting shoe! I bought a similar model as this last year and really enjoyed it - enough that I sought out this model. The fit is great for my foot (which is a little narrower than normal) and I love this shoe for wearing in warmer weather.

Recommended for X-Country Use Only - I loved the generous toe box area; it's wider then the typical Adidas construction and more comfortable for my wide forefoot. Be advised that the soles are very thin, particularly around the toe box area starting at the ball of the foot; it takes a little getting used to, but the lack of cushioning helps me to be more efficient with my running form. It's easier to avoid heel strikes and feel the push off with my toes because I can feel how my feet land on the ground. The thin soles make running on gravel a little bit more uncomfortable compared to other trail shoes. The stability plate provides excellent support and protection for the mid and heel portion of the feet. I loved the lacing system; it's easy to make the shoe feel snug without being too tight. I've been told that the shoes are supposed to have a waterproof membrane in the uppers, but I doubt that, for I can see clearly through the mesh when I hold it up to the sunlight. I would definitely buy another pair. I am probably going to change out the insoles for something with sorbothane, only because I do so with all my running shoes.

Absolutely the best shoes I have ever worn... I bought two pairs of these shoes over a year ago and they have been, hands down, the best pair I have ever worn...in all respects. I have put them through hell and back and they have taken everything in stride. I was only sorry to see that Zappos has no more in stock.

Outstanding shoe, in style and in function!!! I really wanted the red ones but they were out of my size (14). So I got the moss colored ones and almost have not taken them off unless to sleep, bathe, etc. can be worn all day without discomfort. I’m not a runner but the support is firm without being soft. I love these shoes so much I’ll get the red ones before they run out! This shoe is that good!!!

Great - My second pair. The lacing system in these Salomon shoes is unbeatable.

Salomon's Best shoe - This is the second pair I've had. I hiked hundreds of miles in the first pair, did some trail running and also used them in the gym. They're excellent hiking shoes, super comfortable, and the durability is unmatched. After a full year of abuse, there wasn't a single stitch undone. Worth every penny.

Quality Shoe - This is a well put together shoe looks good also. Very comfortable and breathable. Slightly larger for me than actual size but overall great fit, lacing system is secure and convenient.

Salomon XA review - Very pleased with this shoe. I have a very narrow foot and this shoe has worked fine. I also like the breath ability versus gortex. Great trail shoe.

What a shoe! I've had them a month now and could not be more pleased. They fit perfectly, even though they appeared to be narrow when I opened the box. I think it is the styling and the unique closure system (which works superbly and does NOT work itself loose). I have high arches and this shoe provides much arch support. The mesh design makes them a little chilly on cold days, but it will be welcomed on summer days, I think.
