I bought the shoes to wear casually for the weekends and after work. So far they are holding up well and after being stretched fit much better. They do seem to run a little narrow.

I've been wanting to get myself a pair of Jack Purcells for as long as I can remember! I was so geeked when they arrived. My boyfriend thinks they're cute, too. I love that my shoes are smiling at everyone :) The only problem I have with them is that they don't offer this shoe in a wide width. My pudgy little feet make this shoe uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time since they rub on my pinky toes. I hadn't thought about them running large, but I have to buy a size larger than normal in many shoes just to get a decent width. As others have said, they do have a 'bit' more padding than your average chuck taylor... but there's still not much. If you love the chucks, though, you'll definitely like these! I bought the navy and think they go great with just about anything. It's all about character, and the Jack Purcell has plenty of that!

awesome shoes, very comfy. laces are a little long and mine (size 13) tend to drag on the ground no matter how i tie/lace them. I don't want to double knot but oh well. white keeps pretty clean (other than laces) but requires a quick scrub every now and them.

I was hesitant about ordering these online because I find it hard to get a good fit with converse. I need arch support and I have somewhat wide feet. However, I am really glad I took the chance. Will I tour Disney in these? No. Will I wear them the rest of the winter? Yes. I love them. They are more comfortable than traditional converse (width is still the same though). I also got compliments on them.

There is something graphic and fun about the Jack Purcell sneaker, with its little smiley face on the toe. \r\n\r\nIt\'s a little more comfortable than your regular old Converse low top, too. Great alternative if you\'re a devotee of Chuck Taylors, as I have been for many eons.\r\n\r\nI felt that the sizing on these shoes was pretty accurate, compared to the Chucks, which seem to run large.

Seemed Comfy at First - Really cute sneaker. Looks great with skirts, shorts, jeans, and capris. Would be perfect for walking around town if they didn't give me terrible blisters. The first day I wore them I got huge blisters on my heels and my pinky toes felt really smushed and sore. 2nd wear I tried w/ socks and didn't get blisters but heel and toes still rubbed. Maybe they need more break in time in the toes, but I'm afraid heel blisters are inevitable because of the way the shoe rubs as I walk.

Classic with very clean fashion looks-cheaper than J Crew. I love these shoes. I bought in all white and it’s a great look even with a navy summer suit with white cotton tee for ladies...kind of classic Katharine Hepburn look. I usually wear a size 8, if you want to wear bare feet you might want to order a half size smaller, I thought it is little too wide without socks.

Cute but not nearly as comfy as they should be - I had to take the insole out and replace it with another one because they weren't as comfy as I wanted. They don't feel like a sneaker but more like a cute shoe you want to wear even though they feel a little off.

Old Time Jacks - I had Jacks all throughout my teenage years and lived in them. I was so grateful to find them and receive them so quickly and affordably. I ordered a half size larger than normal because I need a wide shoe and the Jacks are available only in regular width. They look and fit fine, but are a little tight across the instep.

Very cool sneaks! Okay, I did end up replacing the super-white laces with black ones but, other than that, I LOVE the look of these sneakers. Reasonably comfortable, too.

Great shoe, even greater service from Zappos - I love these shoes; they're unique and you can't find them at the stores here. I actually was complimented the other day from a guy who collects limited edition shoes and asked where I got them from. I referred him to Zappos. I was surprised he saw me with these on.

Cute shoe but needs to be worn in! I love the look of these shoes. I bought them because as a nursing student I need a white shoe for hospital training and I didn't want to wear the hideous traditional nursing shoes. However, I'm on my feet 5-8 hours a day and every day I come home with new blisters on my heals. I spend a small fortune on band aids to accompany these shoes. However, I do really like the style. Arch support is also really nice and the shoe comes with its own pull out insert.

Classy shoes - I really like Jack Purcell’s, the look and comfort. However I noticed that after several times of wearing, the outsole near the arch of the foot starts to tear apart. My friend also had encountered this kind of problem. I'm planning to buy the leather version of this one, but after having this problem, I’m thinking of getting the Converse One Stars because of durability issues.

Looks great but arch support could be better - Love the shoe, looks great. I put a Superfeet insert into the shoe to improve the arch support.

They are a little small and take a few miles and some blisters to break in. But they look great and go with everything.

Great classic clean look and a good summer shoe for walking about the city. Nice clean sharp look creating the feel of a more formal sneaker, but remaining beautifully casual. Works well with various shades of khaki colored pants. In a word, this shoe is smart.

Jack Purcell review - Nice shoe, but I feel it could have a little bit heavier canvas on the upper. If you are hard on shoes and wear one pair a lot, the upper will wear fairly quick. Really love the look of this shoe though.

A classic - Love my Jack Purcell's. They're slightly narrow for me, but I'm willing to break them in. They've got great classic style and look even better as they age. When they get too dirty, I put them in the wash and they've held up just fine.

Great white shoe - Very comfortable, although I gave it 4 starts "overall" b/c I had to order a size down. No big deal. Love the shoe now that it fits. Clean, classic look.

I really like these shoes. They are better looking and much more comfortable than the chucks. I will buy more in other colors, I love them that much!

Cute shoes - I've worn these shoes a few times without socks, and the inside is a little rough, but I think I'll get used to it. They have very cushy soles and should be good for lots of walking or standing. I ended up with a 7.5 which seemed a lot smaller than the 8 I tired first.

It's not Chuck T's but..... Great shoe even though the look is just a shade different than what I thought it would be. That’s my fault. Other than that great comfort and it's a better quality than the Chucks.

Cool shoes - I teach 9th grade and my kids think I am the coolest teacher ever because I bought the shoe they are wearing. I originally bought them because I thought they were cute. Who knew it would make me COOL. They are comfortable and stylish.
