Yes, they are expensive. Yes, they fit perfectly in my normal size. Yes, I love them and couldn't return them even though I tried, they just wouldn't let me! Yes, I wear them to work where I stand on my feet and run up and down stairs all day long at my art gallery and people stare at them and compliment them and ask where I got them! Yes, they go with skirts and jeans and everything else I own. Yes, I have swag and power and sass when I wear them. Yes, they fit my woman-sized calves with ease. Yes, yes, yes to these fabulous boots!

These boots are great. The quality is top-notch and they are very comfortable. I wear a size 8 normally, but ended up getting a size 7 and they stretched just enough.

Looked at lots of quality boots and decided on my first pair of Lucchese. Wanted a bit of a cowboy look without being over-the-top. Ordered the N4540 5/4 Tuesday night and they arrived early Wednesday afternoon. Great service! I usually wear a 7 1/2M and have a really high instep. Bought these boots in a 7C because of the narrow toe box. From the online photo they looked like they could accommodate my high instep, & they do although a bit of a job to get on at first. Have a great weathered look. Even though I ordered a C width the 'shoe' is very slimming thanks to that long toe box. I was unsure about the stiffness of the leather but amazingly the leather isn't tight or stiff. Good arch support, too. Heel slips a bit but not a big deal. Really pleased with my purchase and as always Zappos was quick to deliver.

Love, love, love these boots! I was looking for an authentic cowboy boot. Tried the Frye Billy pull-ons, could not even get my foot into them (high arch), even going up a size. I ordered the Lucchese in a size 9 (my normal size), and they fit perfect. Comfortable from first wearing...even for several hours. And they are really beautiful! The leather is somewhat delicate and scuffs easily, but it adds to the distressed look. I regularly treat them with mink oil, which helps. Although they look narrow and the shaft thin, I was able to get them on and they are wonderfully comfortable with good arch support. Love them!

This is the perfect boot. I normally wear an 8 or 8½ so I was unsure of the size to order. I went for the 8 and it fits perfect. Just the right amount of distress and color is excellent. There is super arch support. This is my first pair of Lucchese boots but I am sure it will not be my last.

Love these boots! They are comfortable and great looking. I thought that the color was a little more uniform on the shaft of the boot than the picture shows (I was expecting more of a camel/brown contrast and they are more brown). However, I realize that with handmade craftsmanship, natural leather varies. Overall, these boots rock! Worth the expense, as I expect to have them for many years.

These are gorgeous boots. The mad dog tan color is exactly what I was looking for. It's a beautiful vintage color. The leather is soft and has the perfect amount of give. On the fit, I'm usually a 6.5, but after trying a few, I realized I'm a 6 in these boots. Remember that you really want this boot to hug your foot. Heel slippage is normal, but everything else should fit well. Actually for a good fit, you should have a little difficulty getting them off. I live where it's cold and snowy, and I still wear them every day. These worked fine with my muscular calves, too. Worth every penny!

Love these boots. They were comfortable right out of the box and just get more comfortable each time I wear them. I've received many compliments, and I absolutely love 'em with jeans on Fridays. Every Texas girl needs a great pair of boots, and Luccheses are as good as they come! Some ladies commented on heel slippage, but that's how the boots fit. You get used to it. I wear an 8 in dress and athletic shoes, and the boots were very true to size. My foot is slightly wider than normal, and the boots still fit perfectly. They do stretch a bit, which helps. I can't say enough good things about this boot. As always, Zappos service was outstanding.

After making my choice from the multitude of great boots, I am delighted with this pair. I love the style, and the comfort. There is great arch support, and the leather is beautiful. Although I ordered my usual size, I think a half size smaller might have been better. I love my Lucchese’s!

It has been six months since getting these boots for my birthday and I continue to be amazed by them. They are ridiculously comfortable, and so beautiful. I am forever getting envious looks from people and they make my legs look lovely, especially in skinny jeans or skirts. Loads of reviews on these boots state that their heels slip in them, but that is part of the design. If they did not slip, they would not be real Lucchese, plus they would be a nightmare to get off. I absolutely love love them!

It took awhile to finally splurge on these boots and now that I have them, I wished I had done so earlier. These boots are really beautiful and comfortable. At first they were snug but after an hour of wearing them, they loosened up just the right amount. They are perfect for wearing with skirts when it's too chilly to go bare legged outside. They are also wide enough in the shaft to accommodate my 14 inch calves. The heel is almost 2 inches, but is much more comfortable than my Frye boots with the 1 inch heel. I love these boots and would definitely buy more when I can afford them.

These boots ROCK! I normally wouldn't spend this much on a pair of boots, but believe me-they are worth every penny. I am lean with slim legs, and have had a really hard time finding a pair of boots that don't swallow my calves...here they are! I get tons of compliments on them, and they feel so good you gotta just smile! And Zappos is the best thing that ever happened to shoes!

I love these boots! They run just a little bit large, however probably not enough to order a different size. You can just adjust with the proper socks. They are beautiful and the leather is soft. They fit my heel a little bit loose but haven\'t caused blisters. I am currently wearing them with jeans and leggings but can't wait to wear them with dresses in the spring. I have chicken legs so they are really floppy around my calves but I don't think it looks bad because the boot looks so good. Money well spent!

First boot purchase and I feel lucky to have bought these! The boot is beautiful. Has the worn-in look I wanted. Beautifully finished, but not polished. I wear a 9 normally, and the 9 fit perfectly - snug on the instep, but a little slip on the heel. Have only worn them once and got compliments immediately!

Lucchese N4540 5/4 - After reading the reviews I ordered a half size larger but returned them for my true size 8 1/2 W. I have a wide foot with a high instep and my true size was perfect. They are incredible! So comfortable and really give an outfit a snap. I live in Albany, NY and they are great in the snow while looking professional under pants for work. I plan to wear them with leggings and a tunic for the weekend. You don't have to be a cowgirl to wear them!
