I wanted to love these! I wear a 6.5 in boots and a 7 in sneakers. I went with the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size smaller in these Durango boots, which was a good call. The 6 fit. The 6.5 would have been too big. I still felt like these looked clunky on my feet though. The shaft fits very oddly, as it bulges out in the front and then tapers towards the top (see photos). I have very skinny calves, and these were pretty snug on my leg (which I like) but someone with larger calves may not appreciate this fact. I just could not get over the odd shape of the shaft. Why did they make it so that it bulges in front and then tapers toward the top? Aaarrrg! Oh well, my search for a cool western-type boot continues......

AWESOME BOOTS! Everyone said to get a half to full size smaller. That was NOT true for me. I am a size 9 and I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfect. I love them. They look great with skinny jeans and shorts and skirts. They’re my favorite.

This is a wonderful boot! I have very picky feet and need arch support and cushioning at the heel and forefoot - this boot feels so comfortable and supportive. I had tried the Fryes that look similar, but they felt awful. These Durangos are not only cool but cushy, they look great with jeans or leggings.

These boots are adorable. I am in love with them! They do run one size bigger had return and buy a smaller size. Walked 3 miles the first day I could not believe how comfortable they are! Need more colors...

This boot is well made and sturdy, which is exactly what I need it for to use around the ranch and with horses. Bonus: it looks great. Rises to mid calf. Nice buckle detail - subtle and not flashy. Boots were a bit darker than pictured, but a great purchase anyway.

Love these boots - the reviews were right on. Most comfortable boots I've tried and the price is right. I wear these as my every day kick around footwear. Great product. Ran very true to size (in my case) with enough room left for warm winter socks.

Excellent, great looking, comfortable boot. These will last years with lots of wear. I am still wearing my black ones I've had for 5 years. These are true to size and may feel tight at first , but will conform to your feet. I oil and water proofed mine and will continue to do so to keep them in good shape. Love, love, love the Durango brand and Zappos!

Wow, I didn't know I would get so much attention when I wear these out, everyone notices them and now I don't like wearing them because I feel I'm showing off! I love them and will continue to wear these on cool days!

I saw these boots at a store in Minnesota and immediately wanted them. Sadly, the store didn't have 10's on hand, so I left bummed out. Got home from my trip, found them on Zappos and had them two days later. They're very comfortable, stylish, have an awesome shape (the squared toe just gives my toes that much more room to wiggle) and a good height in the calf (hits just below my calf muscle, I'm 5'10). Highly recommend if you're looking for a western boot.

Could not find what I wanted locally, tried Zappos for the first time. Great price, the boots were at the door in pdq, I started breaking them in immediately. Just ordered some Sperry, like Kate's, white boat deck shoes too! They were shipped in a day. Super!

I love these boots! Have a pair in black and decided to spring for the distressed brown which is a great alternative when black looks too severe. They're a classic and I can see wearing them for years to come. Worth every penny!

I needed to replace my brown boots that I wore during rainy days. I'm very pleased with these boots! They stand up to the weather and they are comfortable. They initially fit snugly, especially when I wore my thick socks, but after breaking them out, they have since stretched out.

Awesome boots. Reviews are right on to go a size smaller. I could have went another 1/2 size smaller but one size good enough.

Great boot! Love the color, style, and sturdiness! This is my second pair though, had to return the original pair I ordered because they were too big. Heed the reviews that say order a half size smaller, they are correct!

These are great looking and well built boot. They are just too big. They are definitely need to order half size smaller than normal. I am returning these to do so!

I bought two different sizes based on the reviews. It was very easy to return the 2nd pair with Zappos return policy--absolutely no problems! I kept the 1/2 size smaller and it worked perfectly for me. Thanks!

This harness boot by Durango runs exactly one half size too large. It was too small for me as I wear an 11 and they don't make anything past a 10 at this time. My right foot was too long for the boot. Some reviewers said it was a full size too big so I had hope. This boot is extremely well made and has beautiful leather. It was comfortable on my left foot, too. I don't know about breaking them in as I only had them on a minute, but they seemed ready to wear. The heel slipped a little, but that is to be expected. I felt they were a little bit masculine, but that too should be expected as when I was younger only the boys wore harness boots like this style. I loved the boots and would have kept them if they had a 10.5 to order.

I love them! Definitely order down a half size at least. I normally wear a 8 1/2 to 9 depending, following the advice of other reviewers I ordered an 8 and they fit perfectly. Be sure to read the instructions that come with the boots, it's important. Comfortable, non slip, heavy duty. I much prefer them over Frye, for fit and price.

Beautiful boot. I ordered 1/2 size smaller and they were fine. My problem was the arch felt funny under my foot and I had to return.

Unfortunately these boots did not work out for me. Love the look, but they were super stiff and rubbed on my ankle bones and the shaft is really narrow. Had to return them but will continue searching on Zappos. The best shoe source on the planet!

I originally bought these boots in a size 9. When they arrived and I tried them on they were too big ( I normally wear a 9M). I returned the boots and ordered a size 8. The boots fit perfectly. Zappos' customer service was very helpful and the return process went smoothly.
