Lengthwise and widthwise, these are sized correctly. However, as a recent post from another customer observes, the amount of fabric over the arch is less than previous iterations, making these a squeeze-in. I'm keeping my new pair only because I can manage to get them on and I need this design for puttering about the house.

Really wanted these to work. Had previous model of Acorn slippers that were ankle height and made of a felted material. These were calf height and of a knit sock material. Unfortunately, my man's feet are too skinny to be able to walk safely in them. They bunched up at the toe and then created a tripping hazard... not good when you're 6'6 and 75 years old.

One of the models on the site noted "imported" on the description, so I nixed that one. Ah, the good old slipper socks are made in Maine, right? The description made no mention of "imported." They arrived today. Yeah, they're fine. But, on the sole it says "Made in China. Yeah, the website is festooned with all this "Made in Maine" stuff. Apparently, not so. I'd gladly pay more to employ Americans. - John

Descending carpeted stairs in these is very dangerous. The leather soles are very slippery.
C'mon Acorn. Get a grip and add a wee bit of silicon coating to the soles of this otherwise great product.

Purchased this product 4 months ago, upon receiving, noticed what appeared to be very poor workmanship. Sewing and gathering was poorly done, the right & left were different. Within weeks the sewing began to unravel, now after only months the leather foot is coming loose from the sock.

It doesn't get too cold out here on the left coast, and we never run the heat. These look great, but even with my big feet, they are loose on the foot and because the calf is so tight, my foot doesn't want to get in them very well. Then the sock falls down to my ankles and the foot becomes even more loose.

The Web site sizing is wrong. Web site says LG is men's size 10,5-11.5. Actual size is men's 9-10.

While these are lovely & well made slippers, you had better have the smallest ankles on earth (or space) if you want to wear them comfortably. I'm so disappointed. I don't have particularly large ankles, but these are tight and uncomfortable around the ankle, and then super roomy/floppy in the foot. I do not understand the design. I'm hoping they stretch out a bit, because at 5'10 and 140lbs my ankles sure aren't going to get any smaller.

The first time I wore this around the house to try it, the side stitching loosened and a thread of the yarn seem to pull loose from the side.

Old pair was made in Maine, USA. New pair was made in China. Old pair was wider and had a smooth leather bottom. New pair has a suede feel bottom. Sock is higher (too high) on new pair.

The fit is terrible. Medium does not fit and large is too big. I had to alter the to get them to stop tripping me. I like the idea of the slipper sock, but their sizing bad.
