Sorel Snowlion Boots - I was a little apprehensive when placing the order for these boots, but Zappos great return policy gave me confidence. These boots are great!! They felt true to size and comfortable. I found that I can't wear super thick socks with them, but you don't have to because they keep your feet really warm.

Yummy Boots! Got these for traipsing through the snow, excellent! Keep feet dry and warm, pretty good traction, but still need to be careful on ice.

Great boot for the snow/winter just a little too wide. Maybe it should come in two widths.

Sorel Snowlion - Wonderful boots -- Very warm and comfortable. We get about 120 inches of snow a year and these boots get me through all of it. I wear them to work, shopping, and best yet -- sledding.

Great fit - These boots fit great and are nice and lightweight. Can't wait for snow!

These boots are great! I usually don't wear socks with them when I shovel, anything else you need socks. A bit clomp but the width is wide . Very wide, so don't go up a size. Two socks or Dr. Scholl insert pads! I'm gonna try my again this weekend Ice fishing.

I bought these Sorel Snowlions to replace my 12 year old Sorel Snowlions. The style has changed a bit. I like the boots, appreciate the removable wool liners, the good traction on ice and good grip in packed snow. The nylon upper portion that surrounds the calf is tighter than the older model so less convenient for tucking jeans in and still having a little air for warmth. I prefer the old looser calf fit. The feet fit as they should.

Boot was a great shoe. Extremely warm. Loved them but unfortunately had to send them back. Do not order 1/2 size bigger order 1/2 smaller.

When I took this boot out of the box I thought for sure Sorel had packed it with heavy cardboard. I was wrong unfortunately. This boot is very heavy. I do a lot of hiking with my beagle on a leash and often she takes me for a run- cannot imagine running in these boots. Also, I am 5'4 inch and I looked like all boot when I had these on. But Sorel is a good brand. My old pair is 15 plus years and just recently tore. I returned these for lighter weight Baffins.

They seem like great boots, but are half a size too small. They are heavy duty snow boots and are on the heavy side. I didn't get to test them out as they didn't fit, but I think the weight of them might have made a full day in the snow a bit hard.

I returned them for the Sorel Alpha Pac; needed a lighter more versatile boot, I do a lot of hiking in the woods in the snow. Thanks Zappos for letting me try them on!

I love these boots! I was looking for something that almost came up to my knees, were warm, waterproof, and big enough for me to tuck my jeans into. The Snowlions were all of the above. I no longer tread romping around in the snow... I enjoy it.

These are serious snow boots, but they are cut huge. I ordered my size as there wasn't a concensus in the reviews about sizing and they are just too big to be comfortable. i think these are the boots that so many of the Vancouver Olympics staff is using so they do have their merits.

Was very excited to get the boots and Zappos delivered in no time flat. I wear 7.5 and 8 was a good fit, not big but snug with a heavy sock. The boots are well made and very warm, also comfortable, but they are going back because they are just too heavy and too clunky. If you need to be outside at subzero temps for hours, by all means get them. However, for Boston streets in the winter and occasional sledding and snows shoveling these are too heavy duty. I will buy something else at Zappos instead, with free shipping and returns they make it easy.

Comfy and Practical - I've been looking for a pair of snow boots for a long time and finally ordered two different pairs from Zappos. I immediately returned one of the pairs since they were nowhere near as comfortable as the Snowlion. Although I don't really like the look of the Snowlion (I think the boot is big and chunky looking) they are very comfortable. I've been glad to have them in the last two snowstorms as they keep my feet and calves warm, dry and comfortable. The downside: the Snowlion is a bit on the heavy side and definitely not a fashion statement (at least not a good one).

AWESOME boot, unless you have large legs! First off, let me say that this boot is awesome; I've had many Sorels and this is by far my favorite. It was REALLY soft and cozy, extremely warm and MUCH more lightweight than the Sorels I am used to, they obviously lightened the weight of the boot. But I was used to the Sorel running a size big, to allow for warm socks, etc...So I ordered my normal size and it was TOO small, it was perfect without socks, but who wears winter boots with no socks? Secondly, it was tight all the way to the top. Granted, I have large calves compared to most since I've gained weight from my kids. So if you need a bit extra room, I recommend going for a size larger, and I'm not sure if I will go for this design in a larger size unless I lose some weight! I loved the height for snow drifts though, it was almost up to my knee, and I'm 5' 4".

Great boot! But I don't know about -40 degree temperatures...? Great boot, great fit, super comfy and super cute with my white puffy jacket. However, my toes do get cold if I wear regular socks and it’s in the single digits. So I don't know about being good in -40... But they are great. They keep your entire calf warm and are like strapping pillows to your feet!

Perfect for a ski trip - What I loved about these boots was how comfortable they were after a day of skiing. Also, they were great to wear over jeans when just walking around. Oh yeah, they were SOOOOO warm!

Fabulous - The only thing wrong is that there are no 1/2 sizes. I'm a dog walker and have to say, I love them.

Sizes are big - I usually use a 10, but should have bought a size 9. Theres plenty of room in a 10, which I guess is good if you plan on wearing thick socks. If your buying them for mild conditions, buy them a size smaller than normal.

These boots are really for the extreme cold weather! I have no doubt they will keep your feet dry and warm, but I'm looking for something a less clunky! The Tivoli Plaid boots are nice! Prefect fit for my 7.5 foot! These boots felt true to size, but they should carry half sizes as I like my boots snug not loose fitting.

I really wanted to love these boots, but they were quite heavy for the purpose that I was going to use them for. Also, I was not a fan of the boot lining coming out when I pulled the boot off my foot. If I was ice fishing or something, these boots would be excellent, but the weight was too much for the activity level I plan to do.

I loved stomping around the city in these huge boots. The liner inside pulls out so I can dry it on the radiator. Why is the liner wet? At times these boots can make my feet sweat especially if I wear ski socks. But sadly I also discovered that my sturdy waterproof snow Sorels leak. The first pair I had did not start leaking until the 2nd winter of wearing them. I figured they were worn out. So I bought a new pair. I wore them maybe 4 times. The first winter slush puddle I stepped in caused the whole interior liner to soak. I had to walk around with a wet foot for the rest of the day. At least the thick liner bides some time before my foot gets totally soaked. Bummer because my first pair lasted much longer. Also, the traction on these are not so great for city slippery sidewalks and subway stairs. These boots are probably best for cold days with no snow or dry powdery snow.

SO cute and comfy! But... I loved these boots but sad to say that after only a few times of wearing them the back seem ripped out. I hadn't even gotten up on a mountain yet :( I will try again though because they were just so darn adorable...and practical! I'm hoping this pair was just duds.
