A happy wearer- Since this is the second pair of Snowlions I have purchased I knew that I would have high quality and warm feet in our below 0 temps coming soon to the high desert where we live. I am very hard on my winter boots; that’s why the Sorels are and will be my 1st choice.

Not a better boot for snow and cold weather. When I lived in Colorado, Sorel boots were well known. Here in Maryland nobody's heard of them! They are wonderful in the cold, wet and snow. I like that you can just slip them on without lacing. They are tall enough to slip your pants inside and are fairly light weight. They run pretty close to size, so if you wear heavy socks order a size up. I spend lots of time outside with my 4 dogs, in all types of weather. These are the best boots I have found- and I've tried many.

5 Stars - I love Sorel, and the Snowlion just reinforces my view. It's high enough to keep even 2' foot snow banks from getting my toes wet. They are warm and comfortable. I ordered an 8 (I wear a 7) because I like to wear heavy wool socks and they fit great. On another note, Zappos is fantastic. I notified Zappos to let me know when my size came in, and they sent me an email. I called the same day and had my boots 2 days later!!! No better store for shoes on the Web.

Bummer! These boots seem fabulously warm and cozy, but the 7 is not a true 7. My toes are tapping the front of the boot. 8 would be too big, so these have to go back and I'll have to get something else. Luckily, we're having a very mild winter in NY, but I really wish these were the "ones". If they had half sizes, I'd have given 5 stars.

Certainly bright white. Would be very warm, but I need more agility as I am an ice boater and I need to be able to run in these.

I recently purchased these boots as a result of the weird weather we have been having here in New York City. I needed something not only to climb and walk through blizzard level snow drifts, but also to deal with the slush and deep puddles. These boots have come in handy not only keeping my feet warm, but they are also quite waterproof. The only down side about the boots is that they are not fashionable as far as looking stylish, and the seam on the back of the boot has given way to the material separating. While some have said that the boots are heavy, I do not find them heavy per se, but just big. But this doesn't matter to me as I purchased them for walking, not for looking stylish during the winter snows. Next time, I would rather purchase the black ones if they are in stock as the white does get dirty with the slushy dirty snow. Also, I wear size 8 1/2 most times in boots but decided to go with a size 9 and they fit well, with extra socks or without.

These boots are awesome! about true to size, maybe running 1/4 - 1/2 size big. They are not as warm as they claim to be, however. They are absolutely watertight/waterproof. NO water is getting through them, which i\'ve thoroughly tested. They do get cold around 5 degrees F however, not even close to the -40F that they claim. Very comfy, and I like the style.

I wore these boots for dog sledding in Upper Peninsula, Michigan. The weather was around 20 degrees F. They worked great. I did wear a sock liner plus thick winter socks. My feet were a bit cold, but I should have dried out the boots with a boot warmer each night and these may have helped with moisture -- probably from my feet sweating. These are definitely waterproof, rugged, slightly heavy boots. Easy to slide on and off through airport security.

We had lots of snow last season - at times I walked dogs out in 4' of fresh powder and these boots kept me warm and cozy! The lining boot would always come out when I tried to take them off, even if I held it in place. Sad thing is that these fell apart at the back seam within 2 months.

These boots are very warm, but they feel a little clunky for walking around. Admittedly, I am not used to wearing snow gear, so maybe it is just me.

Sorel Snowlion kept me warm and cozy, but had a manufacturing defect. I purchased this pair for my February trip to Minnesota (traveling from Texas I had to arm myself with some serious winter boots). Thanks to these boots, I was never cold or uncomfortable - even when hiking in snow for several hours. I wear size 9 and purchased 9, which felt just a bit roomy, even with heavy socks, but the shoelaces kept the shoe in place. The look is not really flattering, but it's playfully funky (the white ones are a bit astronaut-like), and I did receive several compliments. Sadly, in the first week, both of the shoes tore around the seam on the back - revealing the padding underneath. Even with the tear on the back, the shoes kept me warm and cozy for the remainder of my trip. I do believe it is a manufacturing defect, and Zappos agreed, allowing me to return the worn shoes. As always, Zappos customer service was uncompromising and they have more than won my loyalty.

I got these boot in white, and they are really snowbunny cute. They are a little heavy, but I could deal, and the liner makes them amazingly warm. However, the first day I wore them was one of those slushy/snowy/rainy days, and I was sliding all over the place. I'm sure the tread is fine for fresh, dry snow, but when it was wet and slushy snow, I almost fell a couple of times because I couldn't get good traction. I'm returning them to get something with different tread on the bottom.

These are the first snow boots that kept my feet warm while shoveling. And they look great.

Got these today and love them. Good for wide calves, good and sturdy treads, and I can't wait for deep deep snow. Excellent customer service.

So warm! The boot is really high on the leg so it is a bit bulky. But otherwise a fantastic boot. Super comfortable and warm. I love Sorel.

Love 'em! They are big heavy warm snow boots. This is the 2nd pair that I have bought. They do everything from Barn chores, 4wheeling and sledding, to going to the grocery store. Never have problems with leaks or getting too cold or being to slippery!

First of all, these boots are enormous. They're tall and fat but more than that, the foot part is just gigantic. I laughed when I first saw them. Also, when I first put them on and wore them, I was worried that despite their -45 degree F temperature rating, they weren't keeping my feet warm. But as soon as I moved my body a little bit - even just walking - my feet warmed right up. Overall, I love the boots and I believe I'll probably use them for 10 years to come. But it definitely took some getting over the hugeness. These are definitely the kind of boots you get because you need their functionality, not because you want them to look fashionable. Also, even with warm socks on I think these run a little bit big, but I decided it was probably better to have them feel a little big than to have them be too snug.

I just got the Boulder color boots in the mail and immediately fell in love! I ordered two boots not knowing what I wanted. The other was more fashion-y than I usually go for. I wanted a boot with substance, yet attractive, that would hold up for many winters. Well, these are wonderful. They're a little more greenish/grey than the picture shows but the color is still great. I haven't worn them outside yet but I'm sure they'll be more than adequate. I thought about returning for a smaller size (even tried them on with my thickest socks) but am going to keep them. Thanks Zappos!

These boots are great for stomping around in the snow.They are super warm and not too heavy. I think the only bad thing about them is that they are hard to take off. When you pull your foot out of them it's hard to keep the inside liner from coming out too.

These boots are amazing. I wore them for hiking on a glacier mountain. They were warm and comfortable. I definitely recommend these shoes.

Loved the fit, warmth and comfort level of this boot! I returned it because it only came in white in my size. Regretfully, a white snow boot tromping through dirty slushy NYC streets would not be a smart idea, so they were returned. However, I plan on shopping earlier next season so I can get this boot in black! Instead I went with Sorel's Cate the Great. Kudos to Zappos for quick delivery and easy return policy!

Both my daughter and I ordered a pair of Sorel Snowlion boots. The boots arrived the next day and that in itself was impressive. The boots are very warm and comfortable. No need for a break-in period. Was very pleased with service and product.

I've worn my Snowlions for years and love them. But I bought them for a friend for Christmas and while the length was good, they were too hard for her to get on and off. So if you have wide feet or a thicker ankle you might have a problem with this style of Sorel's. I am really sorry to have to return them because mine have kept my feet warm and dry every winter. I should add that I have a thin, narrow foot and wear my Sorels with thick socks.

I love these boots! They are very warm. I'm out in the cold every morning at 5:00 in the cold Wyoming winds and they keep my feet very warm. I like the tall boot also for the high snow. I read some reviews that said to order a half size to full size smaller. I did that and had to send them back and order my normal size and they fit great.
