Just moved to Colorado and didn't have any footwear for the snow. Bought another pair of boots from Zappos and when I received them I realized they weren't going to work for what I needed. I called Zappos for a return label and told the associate that I had looked at these Sorel Conquests. They sent me these boots out overnight and I love them! They are attractive, waterproof and so warm! The lining is incredibly soft, like velvet slippers, almost! Aggressive tread means no slipping on snow and ice and the gaiter won't let anything cold find it's way into your boot. They lace up tight, have great support, and are super comfy. Despite their appearance, these boots aren't at all heavy. If you need a good winter boot, the Sorel Conquest is a home run. As always Zappos' customer service is without equal! Thanks Zappos!

I was very skeptical when I first looked at these. I had never spent this much on boots before but these are totally worth it. They really are waterproof and are very warm. I spent several hours in the snow today and my feet did not get cold or wet once.

Good winter boot. Warm and comfortable. Happy with my choice. Break-in time is needed, especially for the ankle support strap area.

I received great service as always from Zappos. I have had this boot now for about 4 years and I love it. Very warm and dry. Takes a little while to lace up and the ankle strap can get uncomfortable if too tight, but I love it.

Got a pair of these for this past Christmas. Was able to test them out a month later when we received about 2 feet of snow. I stood out in it for about 30 minutes with my foot completely covered. Didn't even feel a tinge of cold feet. Amazing boots.

Great winter boots. Some are too bulky but these have a good balance between providing warmth and dryness while still allowing you to walk around without feeling like you have cement boots on.

Got at Zappos 1 year ago for my kid's Xmas. He has a long toe. Size 15 was perfect. He loves them, warm as heck, wears like iron. 6 Stars, maybe more. A tad heavy put not as bad as a "pac boot" snow shoe, hook major plus!

The boot is fantastic, with soles that feel like they would really grip well in icy conditions. Unfortunately, they felt more like size 14 than size 15. I would reorder a pair in size 16 if available.

Awesome boots! They do take a little time to break in, but once they do you're golden. The cinch at the top is a pain, but again once you get used to it, you won't notice. Very warm, can be worn all day with lots of walking. I would suggest them to a friend for sure. Oh! And by the way...Zappos is unbelievable! Easy to use! And insanely fast! Best way to buy shoes!

A killer snow boot. I took the kids out on the four-wheelers in -5 degree weather while wearing these. My feet were as warm after an hour as they were inside the house. Great construction, actually comfortable to walk in (which is a rare thing in a good cold weather boot) and warm, warm, warm.

I'm really pleased with these boots. It's been a fierce winter in New England. I'll have these for years to come. Comfortable, warm, look good. I recommend these strongly. I wasn't aware of it at the time, but apparently Sorel is a solid brand. Highly recommended.

As a woman, I often find it difficult to locate truly good outdoor wear made for us; they seem to focus a lot more on colors and fashion than function. I ordered these boots due to their temp rating, rugged design, and waterproof function. I wear a women's 9, and ordered these in a 7. They are made to wear with heavy socks, so there is some room inside. If you are walking long distances - I'd consider 2 pair, or some blister preventer. We had a snow and ice storm that kept us trapped for a week just after I got these. I took the dog out for long walks every day - no falling, no cold or wet feet - they are great! One note - if this is the kind of boot you are looking for - any boot like this will be fairly heavy. I highly recommend breaking them in and getting used to the extra weight. Love them!

I bought these boots when I moved to the Syracuse area this winter, and they haven't let me down. They're very warm; whenever I go outside, my feet are the warmest part of me! They don't leak, and they have great traction on snow and ice. My only complaint is that getting in and out of them takes a few minutes, but for this level of protection against the elements, I'm OK with that.

Love them! They are comfortable and warm. They are a little big for my shoe size -- slip a bit in the heels, but that doesn't them more clumsy or painful. I'm a teacher, and the day after a snow day, I wore them into work, and had no discomfort or soreness after a whole day on my feet. This is a much better performance than my dress shoes, sadly. Anyway -- get them! You'll be glad you did!

I bought these to replace my 25 year old Sorel Caribous and couldn't be happier. More compact, warmer with a better sole and arch. I've worn an 11.5 US in every other shoe from Zappos but needed a 12 in these, FYI.

I first want to say how totally impressed I am with Zappos when it comes to customer service. I placed this order and got my confirmation email at 7:57pm last night. I received my shipment at 8:57am this morning. Wow! Upon unpackaging the boots, I was totally impressed. Great workmanship, very rugged. I put them on to check fitting and feel. I haven't taken them off yet -- they feel great, comfortable, provide ankle stability. I got a size up so I have room for thick socks. No problems to say at this time. I believe I am going to be very satisfied with these. Again, great job on the customer service. Wow!

This boot is well worth the money. Currently wearing them in the Balkans in Kosovo to walk to work and keep them on in the office. Feet don't sweat in them and they keep them warm when outside. Look heavy but are not, but they are sturdy. I got the "Bark" color. Best pair of boots I ever bought.

I bought these boots for a hunting trip to Alberta. Since I'm from southern Missouri, our stores don't have a lot of good options for cold weather gear. After a few trial and error orders from Zappos, I found these. I got a size larger than usual and they fit very well with my oversized socks. Temperatures were around 0 F with snow on the ground and I had no issues or concerns with the temperature. They are great boots so far and I have been very impressed with the Zappos service. I agree with others that the little strap is a waste, but it doesn't interfere with the boots.

A top-notch boot! I live in the mountains of upstate NY. Bought these boots in November, & have pretty much worn them every day. They're warm, comfortable, waterproof, durable, very well-made, & stylish! The "vestigial" ankle strap? Cut it off! This is the absolute best boot bar none!

It has been years since I bought a pair of snow boots. I finally broke down and couldn't be happier. Now I actually enjoy playing in the snow with my children.

Bought these for my 13 year old grandson who hunts and snowboards. Says they are really warm and comfortable and he is extremely happy with them.

Great boot! The sizing was perfect and they've kept my feet warm through a lot of punishment.

My kid had size 14 (his large toe was long) and in normal boots would get cold. He got these for Christmas, and he is super happy in the Wisconsin winters, The snow shoe bump is heel is handy. See how they hold up but so far awesome. Slightly clunkier than my Hunting boots, but not bad as walking in those pac boots.

I couldn't find a women's snow boot that would fit my wide feet, wide calves, and tendency to supinate. It's important to me that my boots are contoured--boots with flat sides make me prone to rolling my ankle. I wear a 9W in women's shoes, so I figured the Sorel Conquest in a men's 7 would work. At first I thought they were a hair too big, but I added Powerstep inserts, and that made them perfect. There isn't any snow on the ground right now for me to go jump in, but they felt nice and toasty in my apartment.
