The first pair I ordered felt comfortable and true to width (1.5 W), although they had nearly non-existent arch support so I had to put in my own orthotic. However, when I put them on the second time, one of the eyelets on the right boot popped out completely as I laced them up, rendering them useless. I exchanged them for an identical pair. The eyelets on the replacement pair are fine so far, but the upper outside portion of the left boot uncomfortably rubs on my ankle. So I give these boots 2 stars for workmanship, durability and comfort. I add a star only for the exemplary nature of Zappos customer service, who promptly handled the exchange.

This was my 3rd pair of these boots. I take size 10 shoes normally and ended up with a size 11 boot, having tried a 10.5 as well. Although the size was right, it was not comfortable to wear and so they are being swapped for a Skechers, which fit perfectly and to size.

I wear a 10.5 W. This did not feel like a wide. Nice looking boots and I wished so much they would fit. Unfortunately, not very wide.

These shoes replace the same Timberland style from 5 years ago made in China. The new shoes made in Cambodia are a narrow fit. Tried several of same at retailer. the next best fit larger and wider have less arch support. A disaponting Timberline product replacement.

My son really likes these and his feet stayed dry when he was in heavy rain. My one concern is that one of the hooks for the shoestring came off the first time he wore the boots. I am receiving a new replacement pair but I’m concerned that these boots aren’t going to be durable enough for a tween.

Ordered this shoe for my husband, who needs arch support. The fit and width were fine, hardly any arch support. Won't order these again.

They are true to size, but if you need arch support and you have to put in arch support, go up a size so that the supports fit. Not very comfortable

Apparently timberland wide is actually narrow. since then don’t offer anything wider that wide, returning and trying a different brand.

Nice looking boot overall--in keeping with Timberland tradition. But Timberland's lasts for its boots--even the wide widths--are far too narrow. Unfortunate because I liked the boots otherwise.

I'm a size 10D which is what I ordered. My toes touch the end of the boot and I can't wear them to hike which is what I bought them for. The fit is a half size too short. I highly recommend ordering a half size larger than your regular size.

Wide is Too narrow. I have 3 older pair of 8.5 medium timberlands that were very good and lasted many years of hiking. I compared new wide pair to my old regular pairs and the new narrow pair are half inch narrower at rubber sole.

I have an older pair of the Chocorua hikers in 10M. I ordered the White Ledge hikers in 10.5M and they were way too narrow and length a bit too long. I reordered the White Ledge in 10W and they were just as narrow if not more than the 10.5M. Sent both back. I think Timberland's sizing is messed up.

Comfy shoes, bad laces. Had to replace the laces within a week because they kept coming untied

Bought these as my first pair of boots from Timberland, the company's reputation being one of making quality products. Right out of the box, I was pleased: the boots were just as the picture on the website showed them to be. They looked great. Next thing, I tried them on (of course!) for a 10 fit: perfect. Not giving it a second thought, I threw the box away: looks great, feel great, I had no reason to send them back. The next day I wore them to work. It had rained overnight, the ground was wet, with puddles in some places, and there was a light drizzle. I didn't care: my boots were waterproof! Not! When I got home from work that afternoon, I took the boots off and noticed that the thick light grey socks I wore that morning were darker around the toes, parts of the arch and the heel, on both feet. Whaat?? I had worn the boots all of my 10 hour day and never felt that my feet had been wet after the short walk to the car in the parking lot that morning. I should have read the description of the boots as 'mid waterproof ' . Ok, bad pun. Be that as it may, I really like the boots: they look great, are very comfortable and strong ( apparently). My pair may have been that one pair in ten thousand that was not perfectly watertight, unfortunately.
